Hi everyone. I have an Easter card with a focal image of the hatching baby bird and its mother. In this design I kept to only 3 colors and with lots of ink blended die cut layers on a diagonal.
Spray Distress Scorched Timber spray stain 7 inches of Idea-ology Mummy Cloth. Let dry. From heavy white card stock die cut 3 Clara Blooms sets, 3 Leaf Bunches, 1 Birds Nest, 1 of the right facing Nestled Chickadee Duo, 1 Bundled Bird, 2 Lavender Bouquet, the 3 larges egg for the Half a Dozen Eggs, and 2 of the smaller flowers from Charlotte Blooms and Leaves.
Flowers:
Ink blend Distress Chipped Sapphire the Clara Blooms flowers from the end of the petal heavy and fading only half way down the petal. For the center lightly ink blend using Distress Scorched Timber. Ink blend the Charlotte Blooms flowers with Chipped Sapphire heavy at the tip of the petal and fade out to the end of the petal. Use the Scorched Timber to ink blend the top of the flowers. Ink blend the Lavender Bouquet lightly with Chipped Sapphire. Lightly ink blend the bottom of the lavender with Distress Pine Needle and then Scorched Timber.
Leaves:
Ink blend the leaves from Clara Blooms and Leaf Bunches and ink blend heavy on the stem and leaf base out to the end of lead using Distress Pine Needle and the Scorched Timber. Take the edge of a flat bending brush or a smaller ink blending tool and add darker ink streaks from the edge to center. Add Scorched Timber to the center of the leaves.
Birds, Egg, and Nest:
Ink blend the top layer of the Birds Nest with Distress Antique Linen, blending heavier at the sides. Then ink blend with Gathered Twigs at the sides. Ink blend the middle layer using Antique Linen then Gathered Twigs heavy at the side. Ink blend the bottom layer using Gathered Twigs, blending heavy on the sides. Ink blend with Scorched Timber on sides and back side of the nest. For the Nested Chickadee ink blend with Chip Sapphire for the top and chest. Ink blend the eye and beak using Scorched Timber heavily and then the body lightly. For the Bundled Bird ink blend the eye and beak with Scorched Timber. Ink blend the top piece with Chipped Sapphire. For the top feather ink blend heavy from the tips and lighter to the top with Chipped Sapphire and then just the tips of feather with Scorched Timber. For the bottom feather medium ink blend Chipped Sapphire medium from the tips to lighter. Do the same technique to the the tail feathers. Lightly ink blend the body with Scorched Timber around the tail and head to chest. Cut the top portion of the egg off and fussy cut 2 small triangles into the top. Ink blend lightly from the outside to center with Pine Needle than Chipped Sapphire. Splatter with Scorched Timber.
Adhere all the die cut pieces flat using the envelope as guides. Adhere the Chickadee behind the egg.
Die cut Easter from the Happy Easter Curled Scripted 3 times from heavy white card stock and adhere together. Cut Happy from the Happy Birthday Foil Greeting White Tab.
Lightly ink blend an 5" x 7" white card using Distress Chipped Sapphire from the center to the right top corner to the bottom left corner. Fading out to the edges. Adhere the mummy cloth in a diagonal from top right to bottom left, bunching up in the center. Adhering the leaves and flowers next. Adhere the Bundled Bird, the nest and then the bird in the egg into the next. Adhere any left over leaves and mummy cloth to fill in empty spaces. Adhere the sentiment to the top of the next. Ink splatter with Scorch Timber. Add Fairy Drops to the background paper.

Add texture and dimension to a spring-themed window card with 3D embossing and iridescent glittered heat embossing. Hi, Jean here with a monochromatic design from our Spring Cheer Collection.
There are several techniques here and it sounds complicated - but once you've made the card you'll be able to use the process with several Memory Box 3D Embossing Folder and Die sets.
Cut a sheet from the Twilight Purple Collection with the largest A2 Rectangle Frames Die Set. Place the blossom die - from the Cheerful Floral 3D Embossing Folder and Die Set - over the blossom on the top section of the folder. Place the A2 rectangle face-down over the die. Raise the bottom section of the folder up to close the folder - keep it tightly-closed so the die doesn't move. Turn everything over all at once. Carefully open the folder and tape the die to the rectangle. Diecut the blossom and remove it from the design.
Spritz both sides of the remaining rectangle with a light mist of water. Place the rectangle on the bottom section of the folder - align the blossom "window" with the design. Run it through the diecut machine using the plate(s) required for 3D folders.
Use a soft rubber brayer and a clean VersaMark inkpad to ink the blossom area on the top section of the folder. Spritz the blossom diecut with water and align it over the blossom on the bottom section of the folder. Close the folder and run it through the machine. The blossom diecut will be embossed and inked with the VersaMark. Quickly heat-emboss it with Imagine's Iridescent MBoss embossing powder. It's a detail clear embossing powder with specks of iridescent glitter.
Daub the center with Sunflower Yellow Brilliance.
Cut, score and fold a side-folded white A2 card. Lay the embossed rectangle over the front of the card and slide the blossom die between the rectangle and card front. Align it with the cutout. Remove the rectangle, tape the die to the card and diecut the matching window on the card front.
Attach the blossom inside the card by passing it through the window. Attach purple Autumn Fairy Crystals. Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
Stamp the greeting - from the Cheerful Floral Clear Stamp Set - on a sheet from the Twilight Purple Collection with Electric Purple Radiant Neon. Heat-set the ink. Cut it with the matching die from the stamp set.
It's easier than it sounds here...trust me!
Thanks for visiting - see you again on Friday...

Hello, and welcome back to the blog. My name is Theary, and I am sharing a stunning thank you card with some of the fantastic products from the spring release. So, let's get started.
I trimmed the SH44003 Kraft Woodgrain Paper Pack to 4 inches by 5.25 inches. I added some interest using a blending brush and brown ink to the left side of the cardstock. I matted the cardstock onto a sheet of pattern paper from PP1021 Magnolia Plaid Paper Pack that I trimmed to fit an A2-sized card base.
Using 94724 Sitting Sparrow and 94688 Clara Blooms, I cut that out of white-colored cardstock using my die-cutting machine. I later used alcohol markers to color each die-cut piece. I adhered it to the card panel using a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares.
I die-cutted 94655 Thank You Daily Script out of SH44004 Glossy Black Cardstock. And adhered to the card panel using liquid adhesive.
I added a few embellishments from CRY101 Autumn Fairy Crystals to add some texture. To finalize the card design, I adhered it to a top folding card base and added details with a white gel pen.
And that is it! I hope you enjoy this tutorial and get crafty in your craft space. Until next time!
Have a wonderful day,
Theary Chea

Hello and welcome! I have a fun Easter card featuring the newly released Layered Chicks 94726 and Cute Layered Bunny 94727. I also used the Vintage Tray 3D Embossing Folder and Die EF1040 released last Christmas for my background. Here's a closer look at my card:
I embossed two of the tray dies from white card stock and used the coordinating die on one of them. On that one I used the cut outside edge to frame the other embossed panel. I added dark brown ink to the frame before adhering it to the white tray.
Next I cut the critters and sentiment (Happy Easter Curled Script 95731) from white card stock and colored them with alcohol markers. I put the critters in the openings and then added the sentiment to the larger opening and finished it off with some Autumn jewels. Here's one last look:
I hope you like my Easter card for today. I just fell in love with those little critters when I say them and couldn't wait to use them on a card. Be sure to come back each day for more inspiration!
Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you remember to set your clocks--spring ahead! In celebrating the arrival of spring, at least clock-wise, I decided that for today's card I would use stamps from the new Cheerful Floral and Bold Cheerful Floral clear stamp sets on watercolor paper so I could use some watercolor pencils to color the images.
I stamped the large floral stamp from CHEERFUL FLORAL CL5278 with VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) ink on watercolor paper.
I used my Derwent Watercolour Pencils to color the image. When it was dry, I trimmed it to 5 1/4 X 4. I then pulled some color from a raspberry pencil onto a wet brush to spatter the white areas around the edges. I used a Hero Arts Raspberry Jam ink and a finger dauber to add a touch of color around the edges. I mounted the panel to a piece of raspberry red card stock from the BLUSH SOLID CORE CARDSTOCK PACK SP1012 that I had trimmed 5 1/2 X 4 1/4. I added the panel to a horizontal side-fold note card.
I knew I wanted to use this for a spring birthday card. I found a sentiment I liked on the new clear stamp set BOLD CHEERFUL FLORAL CL5279. (There are so many great sentiments on both of these stamp sets. This card design could be used for many occasions just by changing out the sentiment stamps.)
I stamped "happy birthday to you" in the lower left corner of the panel.
I liked this card so much that I made another one, this time backing it on a green card stock paper from GREENERY SOLID CORE CARDSTOCK PACK SP1011.
I want to stamp this image again on regular card stock and multimedia paper to try various other coloring materials--regular colored pencils, markers, pastels...and I want to switch its orientation on a card with maybe the tulip-like flowers on the left or play with vertical positions and maybe try it on a regular A2 side-fold or top-fold card. I think there is a lot that can be done with this stamp. AND there are also stamp and die combination sets for these two: CL 5278D and CL5279D!
Happy Crafting!

A trio of chicks, a little lamb and a sweet bunny pose with a giant floral egg on a spring greeting. These cute spring icons are lightly layered for dimension - no foam tape required! Hi, Jean here with new layered designs from our latest release and a bit of inspiration for March's Spring Challenge.
Cut the Anemone Grove floral 6x6 with the approximately 3" tall Half a Dozen Eggs die. Cut a dark yellow-green 6x6 from the new Greenery Collection with the 4-¼" x 5-½" A2 Rectangle Frames die. Attach the rectangle to a side-folded white A2 card.
The Memory Box Color Collections create custom A2 cards in a wide range of colors. Lagoon, Greenery, Sunrise and Blush are our latest assortments. They're sturdy 110# solid core cardstock 6x6's in great colors for cardmaking throughout the year. Each set contains 3 each of 10 shades. Cut them with our A2-sized dies from the Rectangle Basics, Wrapped Stitched Rectangles or A2 Rectangle Frames sets.
Cut Layered Lamb from textured white cardstock. Color the legs with a black marker. Color the ear and muzzle areas of the base piece with Angel Pink Memento Luxe. Add dots of black marker to the eye areas. Lightly shade the edges of the bottom layers with iced spruce Distress Oxide. Heat-set the inks.
Cut the Layered Chicks from pale yellow and orange Sunrise Collection 6x6's. Dot the eye areas of the base layers with a black marker.
Cut Cute Layered Bunny from two shades of beige cardstock. Dot the eye area of the base layer with a marker.
Happy Easter Dover Script is a casual, freestyle greeting that looks great even when it's wonky. Cut it from the same green 6x6 as the card front. Attach it inside the card.
Thanks for visiting...hope you'll have time to create spring cards this weekend!

Hello everyone! Today's card features a fun technique called Blackout Embossing. I watched several YouTube videos featuring this technique and I thought I would give it a try. I felt the 3D embossing folder from the new spring release would be perfect for this technique.
I began by dry embossing white cardstock using the Cheerful Floral 3D embossing folder. Next, I used blending brushes and dye ink to add color to the debossed side of the embossed image.
I know this picture looks like it's the embossed side of the paper, but it's not. You don't have to be precise with the coloring because the final step uses a dark ink to cover the background. Usually, black ink is used to fill in the background, but I went with a dark blue ink to give the card a more spring like look.
You need to use a pigment or foam ink pad for the next step. Keep the ink pad flat in your hand and gently swipe over the embossed image. I went in both directions across my paper and it took several times to cover the background. The 3D embossing folder allows you to pick up color on the raised areas of the image.
See how dramatic the black inked background looks? I'll use this for another card.
Next, I spattered the background with gold ink
I cut a strip of vellum to go across the bottom of the card and used gold metallic cardstock to die cut the "Happy Easter" words which I glued to the vellum strip.
To finish the card, I added some gold fairy crystals and jewels.
That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Easter cards are typically sweet, cute, floral, pretty - and very girlie. Here's an design you can also send to your special guy(s) - it's the new Festive Bunny and he is very ready for Easter. The layers and details of his coat and plaid vest add depth and dimension - including sleeve creases! Hi, Jean here with another idea from our Spring Cheer Collection.
Cut Festive Bunny from 2 shades of light gray cardstock - don't forget the paws. Color the eye area of the darker base piece with a black marker. Assemble the bunny.
Cut the vest from the teal diagonal plaid sheet in the Anemone Plaid 6x6 pack. Cut the coat from a turquoise 6x6 in the solid core 110# Lagoon Collection. Cut the bowtie and pocket from a dark teal Lagoon sheet. Assemble and attach the coat, vest and bowtie.
Cut the eggs - from the new Woven Basket of Eggs set - from turquoise and violet-purple Glitzy Glitter Pad sheets.
Cut the Anemone Grove lavender print with the 3-½" wide Nested Globes die. Attach the diecuts to a top-folded white A2 card.
Cut the new Happy Easter Curled Script from the turquoise Lagoon sheet. Attach it - and two more glittered eggs - inside the card.
Thanks for visiting our blog. Hope the Spring Cheer Collection has inspired you to design and create Easter cards for your favorite people too!]

Greetings friends. Spring is finally here, and I have been in the mood to make cards with bunnies. This one happens to be for Easter, but it could just as easily be make into a spring birthday card. Swipe out the basket with a gift, and you are done. Of course, I would say the bunny would also need a party hat.
For the background, I chose papers from two of the new paper packs, Lagoon and Greenery. Each paper pack comes with 10 colors that work really well with each other. I cut 1/2" strips of paper and glued them onto a 5" x 3 3/4" piece of white cardstock.
For the basket, I started with a die but kraft colored diecut and then brayered it with dark brown ink. When you cut out the basket, it automatically embosses it with a woven pattern. Adding some ink on top accentuates the pattern a bit. Here is a close up:
For the bunny, I cut him out of kraft and white cardstock. I added a bit of light pink Copic marker (R11) to the ear, cheeks and nose.
Finally, I added some Easter eggs I cut out of white cardstock and colored with Copic markers and added my sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
