The students and staff members of the PM SHRI KV No.1 Calicut dropped all their works and spent the first period for reading on 20th June, 2024. It was the programme called D.E.A. R (Drop Everything And Read) organised by the Vidyalaya Library in connection with the National Library Reading Month celebrations 2024. This programme is designed to make reading a priority activity in their lives.

The formal inauguration of the National Reading Month Celebrations 2024 & Mathrubhumi Book Fair and Meet the Author programme held today at PM SHRI KV No.1Calicut. Renowned Poet Ms. Arya Gopi inaugurated the month-long celebrations. She also interacted with the students during the Meet the Author session. Vidyalaya Principal Sh. A.P. Vinod Kumar presided over the function.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has initiated the National Defence Academy (NDA 2) application process for 2024. The deadline to submit the application form is June 4, 2024 at 6pm.

The NDA exam recruits candidates for vacancies in the Army, Navy, and Air Force sectors of the NDA and Indian Navy Academy Course (INAC). The NDA 2 exam is scheduled for September 1, 2024.

Eligibility

Only unmarried male/female candidates born between January 2, 2006, and January 1, 2009, are eligible.

For the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy, candidates must have passed the 12th class of the 10+2 pattern

For the Air Force and Naval Wings of the National Defence Academy and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy, candidates must have passed the 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class this year under the 10+2 pattern of School
Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

The National Testing Agency has been invited applications for National Common Entrance Test (NCET) for admission to 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central/State University/Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges for the Academic Session 2024-25.
The ITEP is a Dual Major Programme -the first major is in Education with School Specific Stage specialization and the second major is in an opted discipline.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the National Common Entrance Test [NCET] 2024 in 178 Cities and 13 mediums across India in Computer Based Test (CBT)mode for the Academic Session 2024-25 as per the schedule given below:

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) was established by the Government of India at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati to integrate and promote interdisciplinary science education and research. IISERs invited applications from the eligible candidates for the academic programmes ( 2024-25)

Academic Programmes (UG-PG)

For the undergraduate programs, IISERs offer admission to courses leading to BS-MS (Dual Degree) and BS Degree Engineering Sciences and Economic Sciences (offered only at IISER Bhopal)Programs. All admissions are only through the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT)

Eligibility

The candidates must have passed the Class XII or equivalent level examination in 2022 or 2023 or 2024 from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education in India COBSE.
Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD require to score a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination. Eligibility
