Latest Government Schemes for Farmers Welfare in India

Here are the details of government schemes for farmers being run by Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare for welfare/increasing incomes of farmers.

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)	PM-KISAN is a central sector scheme launched on 24th February 2019. It supplements financial needs of land holding farmers, subject to exclusions. Under the scheme, financial benefit of Rs 6000 p.a is transferred in 3 equal four-monthly installments into the bank accounts of farmers families across the country, through DBT mode.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana (PM-KMY)	In order to provide financial support and security to the most vulnerable farmer families, Government launched Pradhan Mantri Kishan Maandhan Yojana w.e.f. 12.09.2019. This scheme aims to provide pension benefits to small and marginal farmers. PM KMY is meant for Small and Marginal Farmers falling in the entry age between 18 to 40 years having cultivable land up to 2 hectares. The scheme seeks to provide Rs. 3,000 per month as pension to the small and marginal farmers once they attain 60 years of age.
Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY)	PMFBY was launched in 2016 in order to provide a simple and affordable crop insurance product to ensure comprehensive risk cover for crops to farmers against all non-preventable natural risks from pre-sowing to post-harvest and to provide adequate claim amount. The scheme is demand driven and available for all farmers.
Modified Interest Subvention Scheme (MISS)	The Interest Subvention Scheme (ISS) provides concessional short term agri-loans to the farmers practicing crop husbandry and other allied activities like animal husbandry, dairying and fisheries. ISS is available to farmers availing short term crop loans upto Rs.3.00 lakh at an interest rate of 7% per annum for one year. Additional 3% subvention is also given to the farmers for prompt and timely repayment of loans thus reducing the effective rate of interest to 4% per annum. The benefit of ISS is also available for post-harvest loans against Negotiable Warehouse Receipts (NWRs) on crop loans for a further period of six months post-harvest to small and marginal farmers having Kisan Credit Cards (KCCs), on occurrence of natural calamities and severe natural calamities. Now the central government has launched Modified Interest Subvention Scheme.
Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF)	In order to address the existing infrastructure gaps and mobilize investment in agriculture infrastructure, Agri Infra Fund was launched under Aatmanirbhar Bharat Package. AIF was introduced with a vision to transform the agriculture infrastructure landscape of the country. The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund is a medium - long term debt financing facility for investment in viable projects for post-harvest management infrastructure and community farming assets through interest subvention and credit guarantee support. The Fund of Rs. 1 lakh crore under the scheme will be disbursed from FY 2020-21 to FY2025-26 and the support under the scheme will be provided for the duration of FY2020-21 to FY2032-33.Under the scheme, Rs. 1 Lakh Crore will be provided by banks and financial institutions as loans with interest subvention of 3% per annum and credit guarantee coverage under CGTMSE for loans up to Rs. 2 Crores. Further, each entity is eligible to get the benefit of the scheme for up to 25 projects located in different LGD codes.Eligible beneficiaries include Farmers, Agri-entrepreneurs, Start-ups, Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), Marketing Cooperative Societies, Farmer Producers Organizations(FPOs), Self Help Group (SHG), Joint Liability Groups (JLG), Multipurpose Cooperative Societies, Central/State agency or Local Body sponsored Public Private Partnership Projects, State Agencies, Agricultural Produce Market Committees (Mandis), National & State Federations of Cooperatives, Federations of FPOs (Farmer Produce Organizations) and Federations of Self Help Groups (SHGs).
Formation & Promotion of new 10,000 FPOs	The Government of India has launched the Central Sector Scheme (CSS) for “Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs)” in the year 2020. The scheme has a total budgetary outlay of Rs.6865 crores. Formation & promotion of FPOs are to be done through Implementing Agencies (IAs), which further engage Cluster Based Business Organizations (CBBOs) to form & provide professional handholding support to FPOs for a period of 5 years. FPOs get a financial assistance upto Rs 18.00 lakh per FPO for a period of 03 years. In addition to this, provision has been made for matching equity grant upto Rs. 2,000 per farmer member of FPO with a limit of Rs. 15.00 lakh per FPO and a credit guarantee facility upto Rs. 2 crore of project loan per FPO from eligible lending institution to ensure institutional credit accessibility to FPOs. Suitable provisions have been made for training and skill development of FPOs. FPOs are onboarded on National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) platform which facilitate online trading of their agricultural commodities through transparent price discovery method to enable FPOs to realize better remunerative prices for their produce.
Per Drop More Crop (PDMC)	Per Drop More Crop scheme mainly focuses on water use efficiency at farm level through precision/micro irrigation. Besides promoting precision irrigation (drip and sprinkler irrigation systems) and better on-farm water management practices to optimize the use of available water resources, this component also supports micro level water storage or water conservation/management activities to supplement micro irrigation.
Sub-Mission on Agriculture Extension (SMAE)	The scheme aims at making the extension system farmer driven and farmer accountable by disseminating technology to farmers through new institutional arrangements viz. Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) at district level to operationalize extension reforms in a participatory mode.
Sub-Mission on Agriculture Mechanization (SMAM)	Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM) is being implemented w.e.f April, 2014 which aims at catalyzing an accelerated but inclusive growth of agricultural mechanization in India with the objectives of Increasing the reach of farm mechanization to small and marginal farmers and to the regions where availability of farm power is low, Promoting ‘Custom Hiring Centres' to offset the adverse economies of scale arising due to small landholding and high cost of individual ownership, Creating hubs for hi-tech& high value farm equipments, Creating awareness among stakeholders through demonstration and capacity building activities and Ensuring performance testing and certification at designated testing centers located all over the country.
Sub-Mission on Seed and Planting Material (SMSP)	SMSP covers the entire gamut of seed production chain, from production of nucleus seed to supply of certified seeds to the farmers, to provide support for creation of infrastructure conducive for development of the seed sector, support to the public seed producing organisations for improving their capacity and quality of seed production, create dedicated seed bank to meet unforeseen circumstances of natural calamities, etc.
Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY)	Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) aims at development of sustainable models of organic farming through a mix of traditional wisdom and modern science to ensure long term soil fertility build-up, resource conservation and helps in climate change adaptation and mitigation. It primarily aims to increase soil fertility and thereby helps in production of healthy food through organic practices without the use of agro-chemicals.
National Food Security Mission (NFSM)	The Mission aims at increasing production of rice, wheat, pulses coarse cereals (maize & barley), nutri-cereals (jowar, bajra, ragi& other small millets) and commercial crops (jute, cotton & sugarcane) and oilseeds through area expansion and productivity enhancement in a sustainable manner in the identified districts of the country.
Integrated Scheme for Agriculture Marketing (ISAM)	ISAM supports state governments in governing the agricultural produce marketing through creation and improvement of market structures, capacity building and generating access to market information. During 2017-18, National Agriculture Market Scheme popularly known as e-NAM scheme has also been made part of the same. 1389 mandis of 23 States and 04 UTs have been integrated to e-NAM platform.
Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH)	Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), a Centrally Sponsored Scheme was launched during 2014-15 for holistic growth of the horticulture sector covering fruits, vegetables, root and tuber crops, mushrooms, spices, flowers, aromatic plants, coconut, cashew, cocoa and Bamboo.
Soil Health Card (SHC)	Soil Health Card is used to assess the current status of soil health and, when used over time, to determine changes in soil health that are affected by land management. A Soil Health Card displays soil health indicators and associated descriptive terms. The indicators are typically based on farmers' practical experience and knowledge of local natural resources. The card lists soil health indicators that can be assessed without the aid of technical or laboratory equipment.
Rainfed Area Development (RAD)	The Scheme aims to promote integrated farming systems by focusing on multi-cropping, crop rotation and allied activities like livestock, apiculture etc. Integrated farming systems helps in minimizing adverse impact of crop failure through diversified systems thereby enhancing production and productivity of rainfed area and helping in sustaining the income of small and marginal farmers even in climatic variability.
Rastriya Krishi VikasYojana (RKVY)	The scheme focuses on creation of pre & post-harvest infrastructure in agriculture and allied sectors that help in supply of quality inputs, market facilities, etc to farmers. It provides flexibility and autonomy to states to implement projects as per the local farmers' needs and priorities from a bouquet of activities in agriculture and allied sectors. The scheme aims to fill the resources gap of agriculture and allied sectors by providing financial support to states for undertaking various activities to increase in overall growth of agriculture and allied sectors and farmers' income. Allocation for the scheme during 2022-23 is Rs 3031.08 crore.
National Mission on Edible Oils (NMEO)-Oil Palm	National Mission on Edible Oil (NMEO)-Oil Palm (NMEO-OP) has been launched during the year 2021-22 with the aim to enhance the edible oils availability in the country by harnessing Oil Palm area expansion, increasing CPO production and to reduce the import burden on edible oil. The Mission will bring additional area of 6.5 lakh ha under Oil Palm plantation. Government of India has approved Rs. 91,591.27 lakhs as Central Share for the coverage of 1.41 lakh ha. area under Oil Palm cultivation during the year 2024-25.
Market Intervention Scheme and Price support Scheme (MIS-PSS)	Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare implements the Price Support Scheme (PSS) for procurement of pulses, oilseeds and copra. Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for procurement of agricultural and horticultural commodities which are perishable in nature and are not covered under the Price Support Scheme (PSS). The objective of intervention is to protect the growers of these commodities from making distress sale in the event of a bumper crop during the peak arrival period when the prices tend to fall below economic levels and cost of production.
National Bamboo Mission (NBM)	To increase the area under bamboo plantation in non-forest Government and private lands to supplement farm income and contribute towards resilience to climate change as well as availability of quality raw material requirement of industries.
National beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM)	A National Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) has been launched in 2020 as part of the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. Rs. 500 crore for the period 2020-2021 to 2022-2023 has been allocated for beekeeping sector. The schemes is approved for further continuation from 2023-24 to 2025-26 with total balance outlay of Rs. 370 crores.
Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region	The MOVCDNER scheme aims at development of commodity specific, concentrated, certified organic production clusters in value chain mode to link growers with consumers and to support the development of entire value chain starting from inputs, seeds, certification, to the creation of facilities for collection, aggregation, processing, marketing and brand building initiative in Northeast Region (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura).

Central govt. is concerned about the old age income security of the working poor and is focused on encouraging & enabling them to save for their retirement. Eligibility: The scheme is available to all citizens of India between the ages of 18 and 40 years.
Pension Amount: The scheme provides a fixed pension amount ranging from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 5,000 per month, depending on the contribution made and the age of the subscriber at the time of joining.
Contributions: The subscriber needs to contribute to the scheme regularly until the age of 60. The contribution amount depends on the pension amount chosen and the age of the subscriber. The contributions can be made on a monthly, quarterly, or half-yearly basis as per the subscriber's preference.
Government Contribution: The Government of India also contributes 50% of the subscriber's contribution or Rs. 1,000 per year (whichever is lower) for a period of five years for eligible subscribers who join the scheme before December 31, 2015.
Nominee and Withdrawal: The subscriber needs to provide a nominee at the time of joining the scheme. In the event of the subscriber's death, the nominee will receive the accumulated pension wealth. However, if the subscriber dies before the age of 60, the spouse can continue the scheme and receive the pension. The premature exit is allowed only in case of the subscriber's death or terminal illness.
Benefits: The scheme provides a fixed pension to the subscriber from the age of 60 until their death. The pension is payable to the spouse after the subscriber's death. In case of the demise of both the subscriber and the spouse, the accumulated pension wealth is paid to the nominee.

Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana 2026: Eligibility, Amount & Details

The Delhi government has introduced the Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana to promote girls’ education and strengthen their financial security. Announcing the initiative, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the scheme is designed to provide enhanced support to young girls across the capital.

The programme replaces and upgrades the Ladli Yojana, which was launched in 2008, with the objective of offering increased financial assistance to encourage girls to continue their studies. The revised scheme is scheduled to come into effect on April 1, 2026.

Here's a detailed look at the benefits provided under the scheme and the eligibility criteria for applicants.

What is Delhi Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana 2026?

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that the Delhi government wants to ensure that no girl in Delhi is forced to drop-out from her education due to a lack of financial resources. Keeping this vision in mind, the Ladli Scheme has been revamped. Now the financial assistance has been increased and rules are made more practical.

While announcing the scheme, CM stated, "We will launch the upgraded Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana on 1st April and discontinue the old Ladli Yojana."

Lakhpati Beti Yojana Eligibility Criteria

Every girl who is a permanent resident of the Delhi state and whose parents and family also resides here atleast for the last 3 years.
Only 2 surviving girls from a single family would be eligible.
One of the important condition is that the vaccination of girl child must be complete.
Girl must be studying in a recognized school.
Annual income of the family must not exceed Rs. 1 lakh per annum.
If the parents or family of the girl child performs marriage of the girl before the age of 18 years, then NO benefit would be provided.

Delhi Lakhpati Beti Yojana Amount

Earlier the assistance amount was Rs. 36,000 under Ladli Scheme, 2008. Now it has been increased by around Rs. 20,000. Now each girl is entitled to get an assistance amount of Rs. 56,000.

At the time of birth: Rs. 11000
On going to Class 1st: Rs. 5000
On going to Class 6th: Rs. 5000
On going to Class 9th: Rs. 5000
On going to Class 10th: Rs. 5000
On going to Class 12th: Rs. 5000
When girl goes in first year to any college and does any course such as diploma or graduation, then she will receive the final amount. At the time of doing any course of 2, 3 or 4 years, Delhi government will provide Rs. 20,000 directly into their bank accounts. This 20000 rupees are given to ensure that girls complete their course.

Delhi govt. wants that the girls grow, educate and prosper in their lives. This amount would give a new direction to their lives.

Maturity Amount under Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana

This Lakhpati Beti Yojana of Delhi government aims to motivate girls to pursue their education. If an eligible girl pursue graduation, then she will get maturity amount after completion of 21 years of age. At that time, girls will get Rs. 1 lakh (as Rs. 56,000 deposited in various phases along with their interest gets accumulated).

The Delhi government will make sure that all those girls who falls in this category would be covered under the Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana. It is estimated that the financial implications of the scheme would be around Rs. 160 crore.

This upgraded version of the scheme would ensure bright future, better education and would also serve as a medium to keep girls healthy. Delhi state government is going to start this Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana from 1st April 2026.

Who can register in eShram (NDUW) Portal?

Any individual satisfying following condition can register on the portal:-

An unorganised worker (UW) i.e Any worker who is a home based-worker, self-employed worker or a wage worker in the unorganised sector including a worker in the organised sector who is not a member of ESIC or EPFO or not a Govt. employee is called an Unorganised Worker.
Age should be between 16-59 years.

About e-Shram Portal

The Ministry of Labour & Employment which is one of the oldest and important Ministries of the Government of India, is continuously working on improving life and dignity of Labour force of country by protecting & safeguarding the interest of workers, promotion of welfare and providing social security to the Labour force both in Organized and Unorganized Sectors by enactment and implementation of various Labour Laws, which regulate the terms and conditions of service and employment of workers.

Accordingly, Ministry of Labour & Employment has developed eSHRAM portal for creating a National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW), which will be seeded with Aadhaar. It will have details of name, occupation, address, occupation type, educational qualification, skill types and family details etc. for optimum realization of their employability and extend the benefits of the social security schemes to them. It is the first-ever national database of unorganised workers including migrant workers, construction workers, gig and platform workers, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

Q1. Who are unorganized workers?
Any worker who is a home-based worker, self-employed worker or a wage worker working in the unorganized sector and not a member of ESIC or EPFO, is called an unorganized worker.

Q2. What is unorganized sector?

Unorganized sector comprises of establishment/ units which are engaged in the production/ sale of goods/ services and employs less than 10 workers. These units are not covered under ESIC & EPFO.

Q3. What is UAN?

Universal Account Number is a 12 digits number uniquely assigned to each unorganized worker after registration on eSHRAM portal. UAN number will be a permanent number i.e. once assigned, it will remain unchanged for the worker’s lifetime.

Q4. I am unable to connect to the helpdesk number - 14434. What should I do?
In case you are unable to contact short code helpdesk number 14434, you may also try the 10-digit number as provided by the CSC

Q5. Are there any income criteria?

There are no income criteria for registering on eSHRAM as unorganized worker. However, he/she should not be an income tax payee.

Q6. Are there any eligibility criteria to register in eSHRAM?

Any worker who is unorganized and aged between 16-59, is eligible to register on the eSHRAM portal.

Central Government has developed eSHRAM portal which will be a centralized database of unorganized workers seeded with Aadhaar. After registering, he/she will get an Accidental Insurance cover of 2 Lacs under PMSBY. In future, all the social security benefits of unorganized workers will be delivered through this portal. In emergency and national pandemic like situations, this database may be utilized to provide necessary assistance to the eligible unorganized workers.

Q9. How unorganized worker can get register on eSHRAM portal?

An Unorganized worker may register himself/herself through visiting on eSHRAM portal or through assisted approach by visiting nearest CSC’s.

Q10. Is there any charge the worker must pay for the registration in eSHRAM?

Registration on eSHRAM portal is free. Workers are not required to pay any charges to any registering entity.

Q11. Will there be any deduction from worker’s bank account after registration?

No. Bank details are being captured to ensure hassle free delivery of benefits under social security schemes or any benefits by the Central/State government directly to the worker’s account.

Q12. Does the eSHRAM card have validity period?

This is a permanent number and valid for lifetime

Q13. Does the worker have to renew the UAN card?

There is no need to renew the eSHRAM card to the workers to regularly update their details, mobile number, current address etc. In order to keep his account active, he/she is required to update his account at least once in a year.

Workers can update their details through visiting on eSHRAM portal or through CSC’s

Q15. What are the details workers can update in eSHRAM?

Once registered, a worker may update his particular details such as mobile number, current address, occupation, educational qualification, skill types, family details etc. through visiting on eSHRAM portals or nearest CSC’s.

Q16. What is NCO?

It is National Classification of Occupation prepared on the basis of work and skill levels required to execute the work. It is an international practice and uniform across the country. It helps in comparing, classifying, sorting occupations and skill levels.

Q17. Select the matching occupation which worker is currently doing?

At the time of registration worker’s need to select occupation. It will be based on two level selection – At first level worker needs to select Sector (Agriculture, Automobiles, Construction, etc.), which is broad based category of activities. At second level worker is required to select his activity in the form of occupation which worker is currently doing. The activity which is source of his major income is primary activity/occupation. Any other activity which is a minor but significant source of income is called secondary occupation.

Q18. How occupation is different from skill?

A skill is a learned or natural ability to accomplish a particular task whereas an occupation is a person's usual or principal work or business, especially as a means of earning a living.

Q19. How my details will be used by the Labour ministry?
It is a centralized database seeded with Aadhaar. It will be used for delivery of social security benefits as implemented by Central & State Ministries. It will also ensure portability of the social security and welfare benefits to the migrant and construction workers at their working places. It may also be used for providing assistance to the eligible workers during any National crisis like COVID-19 in future.

Q20. What is PM Suraksha Bima Yojana?

The registered workers under eSHRAM portal, will be enrolled under PMSBY and premium for the first year will be borne by the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India

Q27. Are there any educational qualifications prescribed for registering as an unorganized worker?

No. He/she should only be required to be employed in the gainful employment in the unorganized sector.

Worker are not required any document at the CSC’s. They are required to carry their Aadhaar number, Mobile number and bank account details along with IFSC code to register for registration along with Bank Account Details.

Q29. What action is required to be taken by the worker, after attaining the age of 60 years?

Worker do not need to take any action after attaining the age of 60. He/ she will continue to get benefits under eSHRAM project, he/she is entitled for.

Q30. Who will operate the help line/ grievance redressal mechanism?

National help desk/grievance redressal mechanism will be managed by Ministry of Labour & Employment and State call center’s/helpdesk will be managed by States.

Q31. Is the SMS language in regional language(s) of the State or in English/Hindi only?

Initially it will be in Hindi and English. Later, it will be provided in regional languages as well.

Q38. Are farmers eligible to register on eSHRAM portal?

Only agriculture labour’s and landless farmers are eligible for registration in the eSHRAM portal. Other farmers are not eligible.

Right now, only registration is being done through eSHRAM. The registered workers will be provided accidental insurance cover of Rs. 2 lacs for a year. This data may be utilized to provide financial assistance to the eligible workers during national crisis – COVID19 like situation.

Q46. What is PM Suraksha Bima Yojana?

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana is an Accidental Insurance scheme of Government of India eligible to the people between 18- 70 years of age group. It provides benefit of Rs. 2 Lakhs at the time of accidental death and permanent disability & Rs. 1 Lakh in case of partial disability.

Q47. How PMSBY is associated with eSHRAM?
The registered workers under eSHRAM portal are being provided accidental insurance cover through PMSBY for a year. This is free of cost to the workers.

Q48. Which unorganised workers are eligible for PMSBY scheme through eSHRAM Registration?

All registered unorganised workers in the age group of 18-60 are eligible for the scheme.

Q49. How will premium for the PMSBY for the first year be deducted from beneficiaries Bank?

It is free of cost to the workers for the first year. Hence, no premium will be deducted from the beneficiary’s account.

Q50. Is the second-year premium for the PMSBY will be paid by the beneficiary?
Yes. In lieu of Rs.12 per year, workers will get coverage for Rs.2 lakh for accidental death/ permanent disability and Rs. 1 lakh for partial disability.

Q51. Who pays the premium for PMSBY for the second year?

The beneficiary who wishes to continue beyond the first year will provide their consent to continue the scheme and allow auto-debit before each successive insurance cycle year. i.e. 1 Jun to May 31st for every successive year.

Q53. Can individuals who leave the scheme rejoin?

Tamil Nadu Assured Pension Scheme (TAPS) 2026 Launched by CM MK Stalin

Chief Minister M.K Stalin has announced the implementation of Tamil Nadu Assured Pension Scheme 2026. This step has been taken to put an end to the growing demands of the government employees across the entire Tamilnadu state. The announcement for TAPS scheme implementation comes as a major relief to lakhs of government employees and teachers who have been protesting for the past 20 years since 2004, demanding the implementation of the old pension scheme.

As per the official release, the employees shall contribute 10% of their basic pay to the pension fund while the additional fund requirement needed to provide the assured pension under TAPS will be borne by the state government.

About Tamil Nadu Assured Pension Scheme (TAPS) 2026

The new scheme namely Tamil Nadu Assured Pension Scheme (TAPS) ends a two-decade-long demand by the employees who have been under the Contributory Pension Scheme since 2003. While the official release did not mention on the timeline of the implementation of TAPS, the employees say that the chief minister assured that it will be implemented from the current financial year.

Through the scheme the pensioners will be given Dearness Allowance (DA) hike twice a year on par with government employees.
In the event of the death of a pensioner, 60% of the pension that was being received by the pensioner will be paid as family pension to the nominated beneficiary.
At the time of retirement, or in the event of death during service, government employees, through TAPS, are eligible to receive a gratuity not exceeding Rs 25 lakh, based on the tenure of their service.
Apart from this, the employees who retire without completing the qualifying service period, which is required to receive pension, are also eligible to receive a minimum pension.
This will come into effect after the implementation of the TAPS.

The employees who joined service under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and retired in the intervening period before the implementation of TAPS are eligible for a special compassionate pension.

Expenditure on TAPS 2026

With the introduction of TAPS, the Tamil Nadu government will incur an additional expenditure of Rs 13,000 crore for the pension fund. The state government will additionally have to contribute approximately Rs. 11,000 crore every year as its annual contribution, which will increase year on year.

Welfare of Employees through TN Assured Pension Scheme

In the four-page release Stalin described the employees as the "wheels of administration" who deliver the welfare scheme to the last mile. Emphasising on the DMK government’s commitment to welfare, chief minister in the statement said this government, following the path of Kalaignar Karunanidhi, has always prioritised the well-being of government employees and teachers.

Giving out the details on DMK’s pro-government employee initiatives since 2021, he listed out the various schemes announced by his government in the past four years including restoring DA hikes on par with the Centre, reintroducing earned leave encashment from October 2025, unique insurance, which includes Rs 1 crore for death in accident, and Rs 10 lakh for natural death.

CM even listed other major initiatives like enhanced educational and marriage advances, higher house-building advance up to Rs 50 lakh, increased retirement gratuity to Rs 25 lakh and medical insurance to Rs 10 lakh for pensioners and maternity leave to 12 months.

Demand for Tamilnadu Assured Pension Scheme (TAPS)

The umbrella organisation of the government employees and teachers (JACTTO -GEO) had called for an indefinite strike from 6 January 2026, a move that could disrupt the functioning of the government.

The employees had called for the strike with a charter of 10 demands, including the withdrawal of the Contributory Pension Scheme and the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme. The government constituted a three-member committee comprising ministers E.V. Velu, Thangam Thennarasu and Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi to hold discussions with the unions.

The indefinite strike call by the employees has now been withdrawn after the CM Stalin himself announced the assured pension scheme for the government employees. The announcement regarding TAPS will benefit all the employees over 6.2 lakh employees and those who retired.

With TAPS, the government has done a fine balancing act by opting for a pension scheme that assures 50% of the last drawn salary as pension and also retains the contributory component.

HP Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandar Kalyan Yojana (Shahri) 2025 Launched for Small Shopkeepers in Urban Areas

Himachal Pradesh government has launched Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandar Kalyan Yojana (Shahri) on 21st December 2025. CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday announced the expansion of MMLDKY, a welfare scheme to provide economic relief and support to small shopkeepers, to urban areas as well. The scheme has been implemented in rural areas since the year 2023.

HP Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandar Kalyan Yojana (Shahri) 2025 Launch

The scheme, notified as "Mukhya Mantri Laghu Dukandar Kalyan Yojana-Shahri", would be implemented in all urban local bodies as announced in the Himachal Pradesh state budget 2025-26. A notification in this regard has already been issued.

The hon'ble Chief Minister Sukhu said a large number of traders in urban areas earn their livelihood through small businesses. However, these businesses often lack financial capacity and access to institutional support. "Due to financial stress, many of them were unable to repay bank loans and their accounts turned into Non-Performing Assets (NPA). Keeping this in view, the state government has decided to extend this welfare scheme to urban areas," CM said.

OTS under CM Laghu Dukandar Kalyan Yojana (Urban)

"Under the scheme, distressed small shopkeepers who have an annual turnover of less than Rs 10 lakh and who have availed business loans that have been declared NPAs, would be provided One-Time Settlement (OTS) assistance of up to Rs. 1 lakh through banks. The OTS amount would be borne entirely by the state government," the chief minister said.

Beneficiaries whose total outstanding amount -- including principal and interest -- was up to Rs. 1 lakh, would get full settlement under the MMLDKY scheme. In cases where outstanding dues exceed Rs. 1 lakh, the beneficiaries will have to deposit the remaining amount themselves.

"However, the maximum loan amount availed by any beneficiary should not exceed Rs. 10 lakh," Sukhu said. The chief minister said the scheme has been designed with a strong focus on transparency and ease of access.

Claim Settlement under MMLDKY (Urban)

"A clearly defined institutional mechanism involving urban local bodies, banks, a nodal bank and the urban development department has been put in place to ensure timely settlement of claims and smooth closure of NPA accounts," CM said.

"By removing the burden of interest during the intervening period and by not allowing any processing or administrative charges, the state government has ensured that maximum benefit reaches genuine small shopkeepers," CM added.

CM Sukhu said that the CM Laghu Dukandar Kalyan Yojana would apply to collateral-free business loans taken between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2025.

"Cases involving wilful default, fraud or malfeasance would not be covered under the scheme. Banks would identify such cases to ensure that only deserving beneficiaries get the benefit. Loans covered under the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises or other guarantee trusts would be eligible only if the remaining uncovered amount is less than Rs 1 lakh," CM said.

Eligibility Criteria for Mukhyamantri Laghu Dukandar Kalyan Yojana (Shahri)

Applicants must be permanent residents of Himachal Pradesh state,
He/She must be atleast 18 years of age, and
No family member of the applicant should be in regular government service.

Applications would be submitted to the concerned urban local bodies (ULBs ) which would verify and forward them to banks for further processing. Banks would submit monthly OTS claims through a nodal bank to the urban development department (UDD). However it is worth mentioning that, no processing or administrative fee would be charged from the beneficiaries.

Out of these, 1.92 crore beneficiaries will be first timers, entering the workforce.
The benefits of the PM Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana would be applicable to jobs created between 1st August 2025 and 31st July 2027.

PM Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana Components (Part A / Part B)

PMVBRY employment linked incentive scheme incentivizes employers on creation of new employment opportunities. It aims to provide benefits for the generation of new jobs across various sectors with special focus on the manufacturing sector. Moreover, PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana forms a crucial part of India's strategy to accelerate economic growth through employment-led development.

The PM-VBRY scheme consists of two parts with Part A is focused on first timers while Part B is focused on employers.

Part A: Incentive to First Time Employees

The Part A of the PMVBRY employment linked incentive scheme targets first time employees registered with EPFO. To such first time employees, part A will offer one-month EPF wage up to Rs. 15,000 in two installments.

Employees getting salaries up to Rs. 1 lakh would be eligible for assistance under Part A of the PM Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana. The 1st installment will be payable after 6 months of service and the 2nd installment will be payable after 12 months of service and completion of a financial literacy programme by the employee.

To encourage the habit of saving, a portion of the incentive will be kept in a savings instrument or deposit account for a fixed period. This portion can be withdrawn by the employee at a later date.

Part B: Support to Employers

The Part B of the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana will cover the generation of additional employment in all sectors, with a special focus on the manufacturing sector. The employers will get incentives in respect of employees with salaries up to Rs. 1 lakh.

The central govt. will incentivize employers, up to Rs. 3000 per month, for two years, for each additional employee with sustained employment for at least six months. For the manufacturing sector, incentives will be extended to the 3rd and 4th years as well.

Establishments, which are registered with EPFO, will be required to hire at least two additional employees (for employers with less than 50 employees) or five additional employees (for employers with 50 or more employees), on a sustained basis for at least six months.

Incentive Structure under PM Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana

The incentive structure under PM-VBRY scheme will be as under:-

It is worth noting that employees with EPF wages upto Rs. 10,000 will get a proportional incentive.

Incentive Payment Mechanism under PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana

All payments to the First Time Employees under Part A of the Scheme will be made through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) mode using the Aadhar Bridge Payment System (ABPS).
Payments to the Employers under Part B will be made directly into their PAN-linked Accounts.

Manabik Scheme in West Bengal Budget 2024-25

On 8th February 2024, FM presented West Bengal Budget 2024-25. While presenting the Budget, Finance minister said "During 2023-24 so far, 19.44 lakh senior citizens have been covered under the Old Age Pensions scheme, with disbursements amounting to Rs. 1,678.5 crore. 19.27 lakh beneficiaries have been covered under the Widow Pensions scheme, with disbursements amounting to Rs. 1,606.24 crore so far. Uttarakhand Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana 2.0 Subsidy Transfer

Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on 17th December 2025 disbursed an amount of Rs. 33.22 crore to the bank accounts of 3,848 beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana 2.0. Through Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme 2nd phase, the state government is committed to ensuring that the youth of Uttarakhand become job creators rather than job seekers. MSY 2.0 is one of the state's key initiatives, which has played a significant role in curbing migration, promoting reverse migration, and generating local employment.

The hon'ble Chief Minister said that migrant workers who returned during the COVID-19 period, young entrepreneurs, artisans, handicraftsmen, and educated unemployed youth are the primary beneficiaries of the scheme.

Under the MSY 2.0 scheme, native and permanent residents of the state are being provided with loan facilities through nationalised, cooperative, and regional rural banks for the manufacturing, service, and trade sectors. The permissible project cost is up to Rs. 25 lakh for manufacturing units and up to Rs. 10 lakh for service and trade units. A margin money subsidy ranging from 15% to 25% of the project cost is being provided under the scheme.

Progress Report of Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana 2.0

While the initial target was to cover approximately 32,000 beneficiaries, more than 35,000 have already benefited. Loans totalling over Rs. 1,389 crore have been disbursed under the scheme, creating approximately 64,966 new jobs. The Chief Minister said this proves that the scheme is not limited to paperwork but is being effectively implemented on the ground.

Calling it a "game changer scheme" for small traders and self-reliance in the state, the Chief Minister said that in view of its success, the Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme 2.0 (MSY 2.0) has been launched from 2025, integrating the MSY and Nano schemes. Under the new framework, the subsidy limit has been increased from 15% to 30%.

In addition, an extra 5% subsidy has been provided under the geographical, social, and product boosters, making the scheme economically and socially empowering. CM said that subsidies have been transferred directly into the beneficiaries' bank accounts through online mode, reflecting the government's transparent, technology-driven, and corruption-free working system.

Chief Minister Self Employment Scheme to Make Self Reliant

CM Dhami emphasised that the Chief Minister Self-Employment Scheme is not merely a scheme but a strong foundation for a self-reliant Uttarakhand. The government's goal, he said, is to promote local enterprises in every district, employment in every village, and work in the hands of every youth. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the state government is working to make the youth of Uttarakhand self-reliant through self-employment.

During the programme, the Chief Minister also interacted with beneficiaries of the scheme. Kamal Singh Partholi from Lohaghat, Champawat, said that he availed a loan of Rs 10 lakh under the scheme to set up a smart library, which currently caters to 130 students, with plans to develop an e-library as well. Pradeep Agarwal from Udham Singh Nagar said he took a loan of Rs 10 lakh to start a vehicle servicing business; previously, he worked in bicycle repair.

Ayan Mansuri from Pauri Garhwal said he secured a loan of Rs 10 lakh for quilt and mattress manufacturing, which has created direct and indirect employment for several people, and his business turnover is estimated to reach Rs 3 crore this year. Champa Devi from Bageshwar said she took a loan of Rs 7 lakh for a mobile sales and service business, which has significantly improved her livelihood.

ख) इस योजना के तहत विनिर्माण प्रोजेक्ट की अधिकतम लागत 25 लाख रुपये और सेवा काम के लिए अधिकतम लागत 10 लाख रुपये होंगे|

मुख्यमंत्री स्वरोजगार योजना in Uttarakhand Budget 2024-25

27 फ़रवरी 2024 को वित्त मंत्री ने उत्तराखंड बजट 2024-25 पेश किया जिसमे उन्होंने बताया की "दिसम्बर 2023 तक पी०एम० स्वनिधि योजनान्तर्गत बत्तीस हजार आठ सौ चौदह (32,814) व्यक्तियों को रू0 45.86 करोड़ का बैंक ऋण तथा मुख्यमंत्री स्वरोजगार योजना में सात हजार एक सौ छब्बीस (7,126) व्यक्तियों को रूपये तीन सौ करोड़ नवासी लाख (रू0 300.89 करोड) का बैंक ऋण वितरित कर स्वरोजगार प्रदान किया गया।"

वित्त मंत्री ने यह भी बताया की "मुख्यमंत्री स्वरोजगार योजना हेतु वित्तीय वर्ष 2024-25 में लगभग रू० चालीस करोड़ (रू0 40.00 करोड़) का प्रावधान किया गया है।"

Delhi Nursery / KG / 1st Admission 2026-27 online application / registration form invited at edudel.nic.in. Start Date for Delhi Admission in Entry Level Classes i.e. Nursery (Pre School) / KG (Pre Primary) / Class-I (Primary) in private unaided recognized schools (except minority schools) for the Academic Session 2026-27 is 4th December 2025. Delhi parents can apply for entry-level school admissions from 4 December to 27 December. The first list of selected candidates will be announced on January 23. Delhi school admission forms for entry level classes have also been released by the respective schools on their websites.

Apply Online for Nursery / KG / 1 Admission 2026-27 at edudel.nic.in

For Delhi Entry Level Classes Admissions 2026-27, forms are already out (since Dec 4, 2025). Last date to apply for nursery/KG/1st admissions is 27 December 2025. The forms to apply for the same are available on individual school websites.

Each school is also displaying the complete admission schedule on its notice board and website. Further each school is ensuring that application forms for admission are made available to all applicants till the last date of submission of admission's application form.

Only Rs. 25/- (Non-refundable) can be charged from the parents as admission registration fee. The purchase of prospectus of the school by the parents shall be optional.

"The age relaxation for admission of upto one month may be granted at the level of head of school in the minimum & upper age limit for these classes. The parents may approach the Head of School/Principal for seeking age relaxation through a manua application. For admissions in Academic Session 2026-27 a child must have attained the prescribed minimum age as on 31st March 2026," the circular reads.

Age Limit for Delhi Nursery / KG / 1st Admissions 2026-27

The following age criteria will be applicable and implemented in Recognised Unaided Private Schools for the Academic Session 2026-27 onwards:-

Nursery (Balvatika 1 / Pre School 1) - 3+ years upto 4 years
KG - 4+ years upto 5 years
Class 1 - 5+ years upto 6 years

The age criteria for admissions to Nursery (Balvatika 1/ Pre School 1), Lower KG (Balvatika 2/ Pre School 2), Upper KG (Balvatika 3/ Pre School 3) and Class 1 will follow New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 guidelines.

The application window will close on 27 December 2025, so parents must apply in advance to avoid any hassles at the last moment.

Documents Required for Nursery / KG / 1st Class Admission in Delhi 2026-27

Some of the indicative documents which can be considered as proof of residence of parents/child:-

Ration Card / Smart Card issued in the name of parents (mother/father having name of the child).
Domicile certificate of child or of his/her parents.
Voter ID card (EPIC) of any of the parents.
Electricity bill/MTNL telephone bill/Water bill/Passport in the name of any of the parents or child.
Aadhaar card / UID card issued in the name of any of the parents.

Parents will be charged a non-refundable one-time fee of at most Rs. 25 during registration process, which has been capped by the state government. DoE notification states, "Each school shall display the aforesaid admission schedule on its notice board and website... Only Rs. 25 (non-refundable) can be charged from the parents as admission registration fee."

Draw for Admission in Entry Level Classes in Delhi for 2026-27

As per DoE's guidelines, the draw of lots can be conducted in computerized format or through slips but in a transparent manner and in the presence of parents of registered applicants.

Parents will be intimated about the draw of lots at least two days before the date of draw through website notice-board & e-mail by the school. It is mandatory for the school to retain videography of the draw and show the slips to the parents before putting in the box which is to be used for draw of lots.

The first list of selected candidates with the corresponding points earned by them will be displayed on 23 January 2026.

Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam has now been expanded in the second phase by the Tamil Nadu government. An additional 17 lakh women have been added to the scheme, which already has 1.13 crore women as beneficiaries. TN Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the 2nd phase of KMUT scheme in Chennai on 12th Dec 2025. Speaking at the time, he said that the Women's Rights Fund Scheme has been a huge success.

One can now make Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam Scheme login at kmut.tn.gov.in. In this scheme, the Tamilnadu state govt. will provide Rs. 1000 per month to every women head of family. The announcement regarding new Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam was made firstly in the TN Budget Speech 2023-24.

As regards eligibility of Magalir Urimai Thittam Scheme, the government has said that the yearly income of the family should be less than Rs. 2.50 lakh per annum. In case the applicants own wetland, it should be less than five acres and in case of dryland, it must be below ten acres. Annual domestic electricity consumption should be less than 3,600 units. Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam 2nd Phase Launch

While launching the 2nd phase of Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai Scheme, CM said that Dravidian model government will implement many more schemes for the welfare of women and added that women's rights will increase soon. Following this, the Chief Minister, speaking at an event held in Dharmapuri today, said that now the women who were left out will also be given the opportunity to receive women's rights.

CM said that if any women who have applied and met all the qualifications are left out, if they appeal, steps will be taken to ensure that they receive the women's entitlement. However, the question among women may be where to appeal. Ministers Chakrabarni and K.K.S.S.R. Ramachandran have already said that they can apply at the Revenue Divisional Offices.

So, women whose applications have been rejected, find out the reason why your application has been rejected. If you believe your application was not rejected for a valid reason, visit the nearest government office and obtain clarification on how to appeal.

If the reason for the rejection of the application is correct, your Artist Women's Rights Fund application will not be accepted even if you appeal. Apart from this, the government is likely to release further updates on this scheme soon. Women should be aware of the official information from the government and act accordingly.

Tamil Nadu Magalir Urimai Thittam Scheme 1st Phase Launch Date

The government has launched magalir urimai thittam scheme 1st phase from 15 September 2023. This day is chosen because it is the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister and Dravidian icon CN Annadurai.

Eligibility Criteria for Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam (in English)

Tamil Nadu government has issued the eligibility criteria for the Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam scheme, after former Chief Minister and late DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi.

Only women aged 21 (born before September 15, 2002) and above are eligible to apply for the scheme.
Her family income should be below Rs 2.5 lakh per annum.
The beneficiary's family must not own above 5 acres of wet land or 10 acres of dry land.
The woman's annual household electricity consumption must not exceed 3600 units.

Official said "The other aspects in respect of eligibility is the stipulation that applicants should have completed 21 years of age and only one woman/woman-head from a family that has a ration card could apply to avail the Rs. 1,000 monthly support".

In case a man’s name is mentioned as the head of the family on the ration card, his wife will be considered as the head of the family for the scheme. For some reason, if the name of the man's wife does not figure in the ration card, one of the other women, who are part of that family would be treated as woman head of family for the purpose of the scheme.

For one ration card, there can only be one beneficiary. As per the government, women who wish to avail financial assistance under the Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme should apply for it at their nearest registration camps.

Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam in Tamil Nadu Budget 2024-25

Finance Minister presented Tamil Nadu Budget 2024-25 on 19 February 2024. While presenting the budget, FM said "Following the golden words of Dr. Ambedkar 'I measure the progress of a community with the degree of progress women have achieved', the Government of Tamil Nadu is dedicated to fostering an egalitarian society where gender inequality is eliminated. To accomplish this vision, the Government has initiated numerous pioneering and exemplary welfare schemes for women such as ensuring equal property rights, reservation in education, employment, and local bodies, and initiatives such as the Vidiyal Payana Thittam. In adherence to our commitment of 'We do what we say and we say what we do', an amount of Rs. 1,000 per month is being directly deposited in the bank accounts of 1.15 crore women heads of households under the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam".

FM added "The monthly assistance of Rs.1,000 will not only help the women heads of households who are adversely affected in their daily lives due to ever-increasing family expenses but also helps them to set aside a substantial amount as savings. The objective of this scheme, its data-driven selection process, use of technology in implementation and transparency have received widespread acclaim. We hope that this pathbreaking scheme will be replicated in various States across the country in future, thus benefiting women nationwide. For this scheme, an amount of Rs.13,720 crore has been allocated in the coming year".

Magalir Urimai Thogai Thittam Scheme in Tamil Nadu Budget 2023-24

Finance minister delivered Tamil Nadu Budget Speech on 20 March 2023. In the Tamilnadu Budget 2023-24, FM said "The monthly honorarium of ₹1,000 for women family heads would be provided from next financial year, announces Tamil Nadu Finance Minister during his Budget speech at the Legislative Assembly. This would be provided for those meeting criteria. The scheme will be launched by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on September 15. This women's entitlement amount was DMK’s key poll promise. The guidelines for the Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme will be released soon. Allocation of ₹7000 crore has been made for the scheme.".

Tamil Nadu government will implement the ruling party DMK`s poll promise of Rs 1,000 per month assistance to the women heads of eligible households from this September onwards, and a sum of Rs 7,000 crore has been allocated in the state budget for FY24.

குடும்பத் தலைவிகளுக்கான கலைஞர் மகளிர் உரிமைத் திட்டத்தில் பயன் பெற, கீழ்க்கண்ட தகுதிகளைப் பெற்ற குடும்பங்களில், 21 வயது நிரம்பிய பெண் ஒருவர் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம். அதாவது, செப்டம்பர் 15, 2002 தேதிக்கு முன்னர் பிறந்தவர்கள் விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம்.

இத்திட்டத்திற்கு பொது விநியோக நியாய விலைக் கடைகள் ஒரு கணக்கெடுப்பு அலகாக எடுத்துக் கொள்ளப்படும். விண்ணப்பதாரர்கள் தங்கள் குடும்ப அட்டை இருக்கும் நியாயவிலைக் கடை அமைந்திருக்கும் விண்ணப்பப் பதிவு முகாமில் மட்டுமே விண்ணப்பிக்க வேண்டும்.

மாற்றுத் திறனாளிகள் நலத்துறையால் வழங்கப்படும் அறிவுசார் மாற்றுத்திறன், கடுமையாக பாதிக்கப்பட்ட மாற்றுத்திறன், முதுகுத்தண்டுவடம் / தண்டுவடம் மறப்பு நோய் மற்றும் பார்க்கின்சன் நோய் மாற்றுத் திறன், தசைச்சிதைவு நோய் மாற்றுத்திறன், தொழுநோய் மாற்றுத்திறனாளிகளுக்கான பராமரிப்பு உதவித் தொகை பெறும் உறுப்பினரைக் கொண்ட குடும்பங்கள் விண்ணப்பிக்கத் தகுதியானவை. இவ்வகைப்பாட்டினர், திட்டத்தின் பிற தகுதிகளைப் பூர்த்தி செய்து, எவ்விதத் தகுதியின்மை வகைப்பாட்டிலும் வரவில்லை எனில், விண்ணப்பிக்கத் தகுதியானவர்கள்.

மாண்புமிகு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்களின் அறிவிப்பு

தமிழ்நாடு சட்டமன்றப் பேரவையில், மகளிர் உரிமைத் தொகை குறித்து, மாண்புமிகு தமிழ்நாடு முதலமைச்சர் அவர்கள் 27.03.2023 அன்று ஆற்றிய உரையில் பின்வருமாறு அறிவித்துள்ளார்.

Need for Tamilnadu Rs. 1,000 Scheme

DMK govt. has started Magalir Urimai Thogai (Women's entitlement amount) of Rs 1,000 to women heads of eligible households from September 15. The state govt. is planning slight revision of monthly social security pension of Rs. 1,000 to various categories, including the elderly, disabled, widows, deserted/destitute and unmarried women, to benefit a larger number of women. The state has 2.23 crore PDS cardholders.

Tamil nadu government has released the operational guidelines for the Magalir Urimai Thittam entitlement scheme, spelling out the eligibility criteria for women, who can avail the benefits. FM said "Women heads of families who have been affected adversely by the steep increase in cooking gas price by the Union government and the overall price rise, will be greatly benefitted by this scheme". An allotment of ₹7,000 crore for the scheme would be a game-changer in the socioeconomic life of women.

The data-driven governance of the DMK aims to ensure that the government schemes reach the intended beneficiaries, is now relying on the special programme implementation department and the Tamil Nadu e-governance agency to narrow down on the beneficiaries. The preliminary work has started to identify the beneficiaries, ruling out sections like IncomeTax payees, government staff, social security pensioners and vehicle owners. Aadhar-based governance comes in handy for the government.

"The guidelines has been decided by the direct supervision of the chief minister. He announces schemes with an objective to support the needy and realises the huge expectation of women, who have been inquiring about it. It is one of the happiest days for women," Social welfare and women empowerment minister said.

DDA Housing Scheme 2025 Apply Online: Delhi Development Authority has now launched a new housing scheme for govt employees. Under the scheme, titled Karmayogi Awas Yojana 2025, employees and pensioners of central and state governments, public sector undertakings, public sector banks, local bodies, autonomous bodies and government universities can apply for 1-3 BHK flats.

Under this Scheme, a total of 1168 newly constructed flats located in Pocket 9, Sector A1 to A4, Narela are being offered for disposal. Read this article till the end to know about flats offered under the new DDA housing scheme, circular for which has been published on 12 December 2025.

New DDA Housing Scheme Apply Online 2025

The one-time registration fees for registration on DDA's Awaas Portal (https://eservices.dda.org.in/) is Rs. 2,500.
Applicants already registered on the Awaas portal are not required to pay registration fees again.
The booking amount for each flat under various categories is as under:-

For a 3-BHK flat: Rs. 10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakh Only)
For a 2-BHK flat: Rs. 4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakh Only)
For a 1-BHK flat: Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only)

There is no restriction with regard to the number of flats an applicant can book.
The booking amount is non-refundable and would be adjusted against the disposal price of the flat, if the flat is successfully booked by an individual.

The unique feature of this new DDA housing scheme is a flat 25% discount across all categories, making it an attractive opportunity for government servants to find an ideal place of residence in Delhi and also a homogenous neighbourhood.

Eligibility Criteria for DDA New Housing Scheme 2025 for Govt Employees

The applicant must be a citizen of India.
He/ She should have attained the age of majority i.e., an applicant should have completed 18 years of age as on the last date of submission of the application and legally competent to enter into a contract.
He/ She should be a serving or retired Government Servant, including employees of the Central Government, State Governments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Public Sector Banks (PSBs), Local Bodies, Autonomous Bodies, Universities, and similar institutions etc.
There is no restriction with regard to owning any land/built up property in Delhi or elsewhere. Also more than one house of any category and multiple houses of different categories can be purchased by eligible individuals without any restriction.
The applicant should give particulars of his/her savings account in any Bank in the name of the applicant only in the 'Application Form'.
Applicant must have Permanent Account Number (PAN) allotted under the provisions of the Income Tax Act and the same must be quoted in the Application Form.
In case of joint application under Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), the applicant himself/herself should fall within the reserved category and the joint applicant/co-applicant should be from within the Family. Family for this clause means a person or his/her parents or his/her blood relatives or his/her spouse or any of his/her dependent relative/s including unmarried children.
It is advisable that co-allottee, if any, may preferably be added at the application stage rather than at later stage, for easy processing.

PM USP Yojana is a scholarship scheme for college and university students from the Ministry of Education. Under this PM USP Scholarship scheme, central govt. will provide financial aid to talented students from low-income families to help with their daily costs while they attend college or university.

The scholarships under PM USP CSSS scholarship scheme are based on Class 12th board exam results, with a maximum of 82,000 new scholarships available each year for graduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and professional courses. The scholarship under Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP) Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS) will be disbursed directly into the Aadhar seeded bank accounts of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

PM USP Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS) 2025

PM USP Central Sector Scheme aims to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to meritorious students from poor families for higher studies. The Ministry of Education awards a maximum of 82,000 fresh scholarships annually, based on Class XII Board Examination results, with 50% earmarked for girls.

PM USP Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility of PM USP Scholarship requires students to be pursuing regular studies in recognized institutions, not correspondence/distance mode.
College and university students must have passed the relevant subject in the 10+2 pattern or equivalent.
The applicant must have scored above the 80th percentile among successful candidates in the relevant stream in Class 12th (10+2 pattern or equivalent) from the respective Board of Examination.
He/She must not be availing any other scholarship.
The applicant must be pursuing a regular degree course at an institution recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the respective Regulatory Bodies.
The parental / family income of the applicant student, from all sources, must not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum.
Reservations adhere to the Central Reservation Policy, i.e., 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC, and 5% horizontal for students with Benchmark Disabilities.
For scholarship renewal, the student must achieve at least 50% marks in the Annual Examination and maintain a minimum attendance of 75%.
Students are required to have an Aadhaar-seeded bank account in their name.

Exceptions for Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Yojana

Students pursuing correspondence, distance learning, or diploma courses are not eligible.
Students already benefiting from any other scholarship schemes, including state-run schemes, fee waivers, or reimbursement schemes, are not eligible.

PM USP Scholarship Amount

The scholarship rate is Rs. 12,000/- per annum for the first three years of Graduation and Rs. 20,000/- per annum at the Post-Graduation level. Students in 5-year/Integrated professional courses receive Rs. 20,000/- per annum in the 4th and 5th years, while those in 4-year technical courses like B.Tech/B.Engg. receive Rs. 12,000/- for the first three years and Rs. 20,000/- in the 4th year. The PM USP Yojana operates under DBT, with funds deposited directly into Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts. Students can view guidelines and apply online through the National Scholarship Portal (https://scholarships.gov.in/). Follow the mentioned steps to apply online for PM-USP via One Time Registration (OTR) process:-

Visit the National Scholarships Portal (NSP) One Time Registration page and Click on "Apply for OTR"
Guidelines for OTR will appear. Scroll to the bottom. Read carefully the undertaking. Accept the Terms. Click "Next".
Register your active mobile number in the OTR registration form. All correspondence / communication will be done on the submitted mobile/e-mail only.
Complete Aadhaar e-KYC by entering Parent/Legal Guardian/Student Aadhaar number. Submit the OTP received and Click "verify".
Enter details on the next page and click "Finish". You will receive a Reference Number.
Download the NSP OTR App and the Aadhaar FaceRD App from Google Play Store and complete face authentication for generating OTR.
