What is Deep House?

Deep house is a subgenre of house music which takes its root Chicago house with jazz-funk and soul music. Deep house tracks tempo is usually between 120 and 125 beats per minute but DJ 340MPS has a predilection for 127 BMP ever since his collaboration with DJ AO. Deep house music often incorporates an acoustic feeling and DJ 340MPS is very intent on adding as many soulful female vocalists as he can put his spinning fingers on. This style of house can be recognized by its complex melody, use of unrelated chromatic chords underlying most sequences, and a soul, ambient, or lounge vibe to the vocals. These vocals became more common in deep house than in many other forms of house music. Sonic qualities include soulful vocals slow and a smooth, stylish, and chic demeanor. Deep house music rarely reaches a climax, but lingers on as a comfortable, relaxing sound.

Where is Wakey Wakey?

Wakey Wakey is located on the banks of Lotus Lake in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Adjacent to Wakey Wakey is the Lotus Wake Park which offers adventurous adults and children alike the exciting opportunity to learn how to kneeboard and wakeboard with top-notch equipment and the benefit of an experienced teaching staff. The park features an environmentally-friendly cable tow rope circuit (no motorboat exhaust or motor oil in the water!) for kneeboarding and wakeboarding, with ramps for advanced wake oarders to show their stuff. Another single-cable area is suited for slower speed instruction for wake boarding.

Very glad to announce that the first gig at Pampus on Saturday 22nd May was a great success with beats flowing the whole night between dj 340MPS and the band. We should be expecting more parties in the future on Saturday at Pampus Curacao. Pampus is located on the shore of the Waaigat waterbay, next to The Boat and The Movies. Music starts at 9:30pm on Saturdays with live music at 10:30pm. It goes well into the night. Keep an eye on the calendar section of the website to see when 340mps will be playing there next.

We are at Moon this Saturday to throw the first pool party. All afternoon and into the night the speakers will be smoking. Starting at 2pm DJ AO and 340mps will be entertaining you at the decks. Get ready for 10 hours of house, deep house, funky house, breaks, hip-hop, lounge, you name it, we will have all the time in the world to spin it!

thank you thank you thank you for coming out on saturday and shift to summer hours amongst us at the kerryman. we received many compliments on the music this weekend which leads me to believe that people drunk quite a bit more than usual thanks to the rising temperatures. it was good to see india deployed throughout the pub and to drop some punjabi beats putting some hands up in the air.

drove off from the kerrymanlast night with massive grins on our face. it definitely was the perfect time for courtney to come and visit with karen. the house went mad as we dropped solid tunes until the lights came on. there is nothing like a crowd bouncing off from wherever they can launch themselves from to testify that your bass lines are hitting target.
