William Wallace Foster (January 23, 1932 – May 10, 2000), known as The Fox, was an MC on the first season of Comedy Central’s The Man Show under the shows original hosts, Adam Carolla and Jimmy Kimmel. He was billed as “The World’s Fastest Beer Drinker”, a feat which he performed in an appearance on the TV show Taxi.

Biography
Robb Benson – Singer songwriter in Seattle Washington, has been in several bands including Dear John Letters, the Glass Notes, Dept of Energy, Nevada Bachelors, and plays drums in The Great Um. Along the way Robb has released 4 solo albums on Roam Records, and is now working on his 5th album “Cursive Falls from the Sky” to be released in the summer of 2013 under the new title Robb Benson & The Shelk.

Nominated three years in a row (2003, 2004, 2005) for the best singer/songwriter “SEATTLE WEEKLY” music awards, his band Dear John Letters reached as high as #34 Nationally on the CMJ Charts.

Over the years Robb has been very lucky to play with some great acts on awesome bills. Some of the bands he has opened for are: Death Cab for Cutie, The Presidents of the USA, Fountains of Wayne, The Posies, You Am I, Pedro the Lion, Clem Snide, Harvey Danger, The Long Winters, David Garza, The Tractenburg family slideshow players, Scott McCoughey, Visqueen, Shadow Shadow Shade, Wayne Horvitz, and way too many others to list.

Jay B has been into Jungle/Drum & Bass since 1994 after hearing mix tapes from the legendary club “Sterns”.
He started collecting vinyl in 1996, bought his first decks in 1997 and has been DJing ever since.

He’s been involved in running his own events in his hometown of Worthing, always striving to play less conventional Drum & Bass, and hopefully this shows in his mixes today. He held a residency at Volks in Brighton and has played across England with DJs like Andy C, Fabio, Friction, SS, Hive and Evol Intent.

Highlights so far for Jay B have included winning the Knowledge Magazine Mixtape competition and playing in the final at One Nation in Brixton Academy, plus he also played in Miami at the WMC.

Solley has more of a musical background playing the guitar from a young age. He got into music production about 10 years ago but has focused on making Drum & Bass since 2006, after being inspired by the early Pendulum work, Klute, John B and the Metalheadz sound.

He didn’t have to wait too long for his first release, which was a collaboration with Mace on Planet Funk – “Light Up The Darkness”.

Solley and Jay B began making tunes together in 2007 and formed D-Pression in 2010. Their monthly Podcast has been going since October 2010 and is still going strong. Their ethos is to play the entire spectrum of Drum & Bass as well as showcasing their own productions.

Born Ruffians are a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2004, originally from Midland, Ontario, located near Georgian Bay. They are currently signed to Warp Records and Paper Bag Records. The members are Luke Lalonde (guitar/vocals), Mitch Derosier (bass), Andy Lloyd (guitar/keyboard) and Steven Hamelin (drums).

What is believed to be the world’s only Bigfoot trap is located in the Siskiyou National Forest in the southern part of Jackson County, Oregon, a few miles from the California state border.

The trap is a wooden box 10 by 10 feet (3 by 3 m) made of 2×12 planks bound together by heavy metal bands and secured to the ground by telephone poles. A Forest Service special use permit was issued for its construction, but the door has been bolted open since 1980.

“Ape Canyon is a gorge along the edge of the Plains of Abraham on the northeast shoulder of Mount St. Helens in the state of Washington. The gorge narrowed to as close as eight feet at one point. The name alludes to a reported encounter with several “apemen” in 1924, an event later incorporated into Bigfoot folklore. …[and] was heavily impacted by the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens.”

Ape Canyon was reportedly the site of a violent encounter in 1924 between a group of miners and a group of apemen. These allegations were reported on in the July 16, 1924 issue of The Oregonian. Fred Beck, one of the miners, claimed they shot and possibly killed at least one of the creatures, precipitating an attack on their cabin, during which the creatures bombarded the cabin with rocks and tried to break-in. Beck detailed his claims in a book written in 1967, in which he identified the creatures as mystical beings from another dimension, explaining that he had experienced psychic premonitions and visions his entire life of which the apemen were only one component. …

This story was dismissed as merely kids from a nearby camp throwing stones into the canyon from its edge, unaware of the miners below. Wouldn’t they have become aware of them after being shot at?

…There was another mysterious incident in Ape Canyon that took place in 1950. It involved world ski champion Jim Carter who disappeared while on a ski trip in the canyon. He was with some companions and had then gone off by himself to take some photos. Only his camera case was found. Searchers reported finding his ski tracks in the snow. Carter had apparently taken off at an incredible rate of speed performing jumps and maneuvers that no skier would have taken unless he was very frightened or being pursued. One of the searchers reported an eerie feeling that he was being “watched” the whole time. Carter’s disappearance is a mystery to this day.

A long time ago a widow lived with her one daughter at the old town of Känuga on Pigeon River. The girl was of age to marry, and her mother used to talk with her a good deal.

One day, her mother told her she must be sure to take no one but a good hunter for a husband, so that they would have some one to take care of them and would always have plenty of meat in the house.

The girl said such a man was hard to find, but her mother advised her not to be in a hurry, and to wait until the right one came.

Now the mother slept in the house while the girl slept outside in the âsï. One dark night a stranger came to the âsï wanting to court the girl, but she told him her mother would let her marry no one but a good hunter. “Well,” said the stranger, “I am a great hunter,” so she let him come in, and he stayed all night. Just before day he said he must go back now to his own place, but that he had brought some meat for her mother, and she would find it outside. Then he went away and the girl had not seen him. When day came she went out and found there a deer, which she brought into the house to her mother, and told her it was a present from her new sweetheart. Her mother was pleased, and they had deer steaks for breakfast.

He came again the next night, but again went away before daylight, and this time he left two deer outside. The mother was more pleased this time, but said to her daughter, “I wish your sweetheart would bring us some wood.”

Now wherever he might be, the stranger knew their thoughts, so when he came the next time he said to the girl, “Tell your mother I have brought the wood”; and when she looked out in the morning there were several great trees lying in front of the door, roots and branches and all.

The old woman was angry, and said, “He might have brought us some wood that we could use instead of whole trees that we can’t split, to litter up the road with brush.” The hunter knew what she said, and the next time he came he brought nothing, and when they looked out in the morning the trees were gone and there was no wood at all, so the old woman had to go after some herself.

Almost every night he came to see the girl, and each time he brought a deer or some other game, but still he always left before daylight. At last her mother said to her, “Your husband always leaves before daylight. Why don’t he wait? I want to see what kind of a son-in-law I have.”

When the girl told this to her husband he said he could not let the old woman see him, because the sight would frighten her. “She wants to see you, anyhow,” said the girl, and began to cry, until at last he had to consent, but warned her that her mother must not say that he looked frightful (usga’së`ti’yu).

The next morning he did not leave so early, but stayed in the âsï, and when it was daylight the girl went out and told her mother. The old woman came and looked in, and there she saw a great giant, with long slanting eyes (tsul`kälû’), lying doubled up on the floor, with his head against the rafters in the left-hand corner at the back, and his toes scraping the roof in the right-hand corner by the door.

She gave only one look and ran back to the house, crying,
Usga’së`ti’yu! Usga’së`ti’yu!

Tsul`kälû’ was terribly angry. He untwisted himself and came out of the âsï, and said good-bye to the girl, telling her that he would never let her mother see him again, but would go back to his own country. Then he went off in the direction of Tsunegûñ’yï. (Mooney, 1900)

Robert Holden recounts this story of the Yowie (or Yahoo) in 1842:

The natives of Australia … believe in … [the]Yahoo … This being they describe as resembling a man … of nearly the same height, … with long white hair hanging down from the head over the features … the arms as extraordinarily long, furnished at the extremities with great talons, and the feet turned backwards, so that, on flying from man, the imprint of the foot appears as if the being had travelled in the opposite direction. Altogether, they describe it as a hideous monster of an unearthy character and ape-like appearance.

Another story, collected from an Aboriginal source, seems to confirm the creature as a part of the Dreamtime.

Old Bungaree a Gunedah aboriginal … said at one time there were tribes of them [yahoos] and they were the original inhabitants of the country – he said they were the old race of blacks … [The yahoos] and the blacks used to fight and the blacks always beat them but the yahoo always made away … being … faster runners.

In 1882, Mr. H. J. McCooey, claimed to have seen an “indigenous ape” on the south coast of New South Wales:

“A few days ago I saw one of these strange creatures … on the coast between Bateman’s Bay and Ulladulla … I should think that if it were standing perfectly upright it would be nearly 5 feet high. It was tailless and covered with very long black hair, which was of a dirty red or snuff-colour about the throat and breast. Its eyes, which were small and restless, were partly hidden by matted hair that covered its head … I threw a stone at the animal, whereupon it immediately rushed off …”

Larry James (not his real name), claims to have been in charge of the operations of the Time Control program at Montauk from the early 1970’s until 1985.

For the first time, Larry has agreed to share his experience. However, he only agreed to do so if we would not publicly identify him. He asked that no pictures be taken of him and no reference to his real name be made. Larry leads a normal life and wants to keep it that way. He isn’t interested in getting caught up in much of the hype that surrounds the Montauk Project. We had no choice but to honor his request.

As you listen to the interviews with Larry, you’ll pick up on the fact that his voice sounds rather young. Larry wanted to get out of the program in 1985. The way he got out was to transfer his “soul” into another body. He did the procedure for several other people, why not for himself?

These interviews cover a wide range of topics. You’ll hear both Larry talk to Al about why his soul (then Ed Cameron) was transferred to another body, different experiments that were performed with our time travel technology, and how time travel is accomplished. According to Larry, the Montauk time travel equipment was generally operational in the early 1980’s.

Their group performed several time travel experiments. Apparently, they were able to alter the outcome of the American Civil war, try out different scenarios with World War II, and go all the way back to the Roman Empire to test different outcomes.

After they experimented with the past, they would evaluate if their current state (1980’s) was better or worse.

If better, they let the revised scenario exist – if worse, they changed the scenario back. While performing these experiments, they quickly learned about the dangers associated with these experiments. If too many trips to the past occurred causing too much change, that time line had the potential to fracture and “blink” out of existence. The gift of time travel can be equated to the gift of nuclear fission.

Depending how it is used, great benefits can be derived – or great destruction can occur. That’s why the program remains secret and will probably always remain secret.

Larry’s information will certainly stretch the imagination. It will cause one to question the very nature of our existence. Soul transfer leads to, what Larry calls, a “Swiss Cheese” memory. As with Al, certain information is remembered as if it happened yesterday, and other information remains buried until triggered by an event. So, keep an open yet discerning mind, and get ready to change your paradigm.

Of all the stories portrayed here, Stewart Swerdlow’s is perhaps the most bizarre and tragic.

Stewart was born in Long Island New York in the late 1950’s, and from an early age, remembers encounters with Alien beings. In fact, some were not even humanoid.

His birth was even more bizarre. The doctors told his mother there was no chance she would ever have children and yet, Stewart was born. Even today, his birth is a mystery. While in high school, Stewart was picked up at night by, what he initially thought, Extra Terrestrials, and brought to Montauk. Later on, he learned his hijackers were military officials working under the guise of E.T.’s.

Because of Stewart’s “special” characteristics, he became part of the Montauk genetic experiment program. He later learned that only 1% of the people in that program ever survived. Stewart became sort of an abnormality with special skills. These skills were used extensively as a programmer of the Montauk boys. While at Montauk, Stewart knew of Al Bielek. He confirms that Al was the Psychic Program Manager while he was there.

In 1983, when the Montauk Station was destroyed (however later built), Stewart went into a tailspin. He believes the station had a lock on him and in some sense controlled him. When the lock was released, he lost his identity.
Over the last 17 years, Stewart has been working hard to successfully regain his identity. He was put in Federal Prisons to persuade him not to talk about his past. What is unique to Stewart is that he never lost his memories of his experience at Montauk.

Presently, Stewart is teaching others how to use the techniques used at Montauk for positive purposes. He teaches seminars on how to align and enhance the mental capabilities of his students.

Preston Nichols

Preston Nichols – Stewart Swerdlow – Corum – Larry James at The Montauk Project

Preston Nichols, was born in Long Island, New York, in 1946. He received degrees in Parapsychology, Psychology, and Electrical Engineering.

After graduating, he went into Defense Electronics and worked at Brookhaven and AIL. In 1968, Preston’s involvement with Montauk began. He became involved with the tail end of stealth research at AIL. Preston was told that stealth research started right after the Philadelphia Experiment.

Preston claims to have actually read the final report of Project Rainbow – which we know as the Philadelphia Experiment. The report named the Cameron brothers as being the Navy liaison in the experiment. Next, he got pulled into the mind sciences project at Montauk. They were working on interfacing a person’s mind to the computer.

Preston worked with Al Bielek on the psychic aspects of the Montauk Chair and the Montauk Boys program. Preston trained the Montauk Boys to be “PSI Warriors”. The Montauk Chair used subtle quantum fields to read a person’s thoughts. A psychic would lay in the chair, go into a trance, and a group of coils pick the emanations. A bank of radio receivers designed by Tesla would pick up and digitize the thought. Turning thought into computer code. The radar tower was used to turn thought into reality.

This chair was used for many purposes. One was to open up a vortex for time travel. Another was to collect and amplify the energy of fear generated from the Montauk Boys. Many Montauk Boys were lost forever to this program.

Preston still believes he is periodically pulled into working with these secret programs. The people who abduct him don’t seem to care too much that he is talking about his experience.

Duncan Cameron

The Philadelphia experiment and Montauk project

Duncan Cameron is one of the central figure in the Philadelphia Experiment and Montauk Project saga. According to Al Bielek, Duncan was his brother (when Al was Ed Cameron) who jumped off the USS Eldridge in 1943 and landed into the future. When they wound up in 1983 at Montauk, both were sent back to the USS Eldridge to destroy the equipment that was keeping the ship in hyperspace.

Al Bielek says that before the USS Eldridge rematerialized, Duncan jumped back off the ship and returned back to 1983. He was used extensively as a psychic in the Montauk Project. During one of the experiments, Duncan Cameron lost his “time lock” and began to age one year for every hour that passed. The time engineers at Montauk went back in time (to 1950) and convinced Duncan’s original father, Alexander Cameron to sire another son. When done, they removed Duncan’s soul and put it into the new child. This person is who we know today as Duncan Cameron.

The new Duncan picked up where the old Duncan left off. He became one of the principal psychics who manned the Montauk Chair. The chair was used to create and hold the frequency required to perform the time travel and mind control activities. Duncan, as well as Stewart Swerdlow, allegedly were both Montauk Boys programmers. This part of the program still deeply troubles both of them.

The Montauk Program was brought to an abrupt halt when “Jr.”, the Bigfoot monster was brought into form (via Duncan) and proceed to wreck the base. All of the people we interviewed that participated in the Montauk were subject to many sessions of mind control. Essentially, they had their memories wiped by Montauk technology. In many cases, false memories were implanted to cover up their real activities. But as we learn from Al, their technologies were not perfect. Over time, the memories slowly returned.

Duncan is in the process of slowly recovering his memories. He recalls being on the USS Eldridge and now accepts that Al was his brother. He remembers going to Mars and many of the things that happened at Montauk. The process of remembering has been difficult for him, because it goes against his true nature. Hopefully, in time, we will all get the true story of what really happened at Montauk.

The life of Ed Cameron

Al describes his early life as Ed Cameron. He was born on August 4th 1916 in Bay Shore Long Island, New York to father Alexander Duncan Cameron and mother (maiden name) Arville from a common law marriage. His Aunt Arnold raised him and Duncan in a 26-room mansion in Long Island.

Ed went to Princeton in 1932 and finished up his education with a PhD at Harvard in 1939. He met Dr. John Von Neumann first at Princeton – a meeting that would change the course of his life. After Ed left Harvard, both Ed and his brother Duncan were recruited to work with the Navy in September 1939 and sent through a 90-day training school and left with the rank of Lt. “JG”. Dr. Von Neumann recruited both of them to work in the Project Invisibility (Rainbow project).

Before starting in the project, both of them have to relearn their physics. Dr. John Von Neumann taught the two brothers about gravity, time, and quantum physics – how it really works. Ed needed to learn the theory behind invisibility so he could accurately report to the Navy the progress of the experiment. While working in this project, Ed got to meet Tesla and Albert Einstein. Both were heavily involved in developing the mathematical theories behind the project. Al believes that Albert Einstein did complete his Unified Field Theory and was used to create the overall set of equations to produce invisibility.

In September 1940, the first test of invisibility was performed on a small Navy tender in Brooklyn New York Navy Yard, and was a success. No sailors were on board and all the power was externally supplied. At that point, the Navy took over and classified the project as “Project Rainbow”. Roosevelt was excited about the success of the project and asked to perform the invisibility on a battleship. Remember, at that time the United States was loosing half of their merchant ships going to the UK, to the German U-Boats.

While waiting for the battleship to be modified, Ed and Duncan were assigned to the USS Pennsylvania. They were scheduled to leave to Pearl Harbor on December 5th, 1941, and had their orders canceled because it was known that the Japanese would bomb Pear Harbor. Apparently, the brothers were deemed too valuable to put into harms way.

After the test on the USS Eldridge, Ed married Mary Jane and bore one son – Jeff Cameron. Al claims he has memories of four other children, but with different mothers. Ed was transferred to Los Alamos National Laboratory in July 1944, to assist Dr. Teller and Von Neumann with the atomic bomb project. Ed Cameron had access to secret files at Los Alamos and learned that time travel was already accidentally discovered in 1936 near the Bermuda Triangle by a Navy Ship. Apparently the ship disappeared and reappeared two months later. His questions about this project were met with response – “Don’t ask!”

While working on the Hydrogen Bomb Project, Ed and Dr. Teller strongly disagreed with the viability of weaponizing Fusion. Ed believed it to be unpredictable. Eventually, this disagreement got Ed forcibly separated from his family and a one-way ticket to Washington DC in 1947. Despite Ed’s plea with our government, they told him he could continue working, but had to leave his family. Today, Al still doesn’t recall why he had to leave his family. His next project was to be an observer of the Mach 1 project at Edwards Air Force Base. He worked closely with Jack Ridley and got to know Chuck Yeager. When the project concluded, Ed and Jack decided to go into business with each other. They formed a company in California called JRC Enterprises.

Their company worked toward building the first ion propulsion engine. They received funding from the military and ultimately were successful in 1953. When the test was successful, Ed’s father Alexander got involved and promised to fund the project to move into production.

Something went wrong. Apparently, this technology stepped on the toes of some other powerful group. Al thinks it has something to do with the Cristaldi Research Group. It was decided to take Ed out. A group of “Black Ops” soldiers removed Ed from the premises and put him on a train to the Pentagon. Ed was taken to MacLean Virginia, placed into a portal, and sent to Alpha Centauri One. After several days interrogation by aliens, Ed was returned to the Pentagon.

Even though reporting in daily, Ed was never again given another assignment. Continual inquiry on Ed’s part finally resulted in a plea to the Joint Chiefs. Their response was “there is nothing we can do, it is out of our hands.” Ed was then taken to Montauk on August 12th 1953, and physically regressed to Al Bielek and the year – 1927.

Al Bielek Passed Away in Mexico on Oct. 10, 2011 at Age 84

I received an e-mail today from Rich Grybos that Al Bielek, whose extraordinary memories surrounding the 1943 Philadelphia Experiment and the secret projects undertaken at Montauk, Long Island had kept millions of late night radio listeners enthralled for nearly two decades, had died last Monday, October 10, 2011 at 6:30 AM in Guadalajara, Mexico. Al was 84 years old and was buried at a local cemetery in Guadalajara.

Rich told me that Al’s niece, Dee, expending a great deal of time and energy, had been taken care of Al in recent years after Al had become increasingly incapacitated due to a series of strokes. Rich told me that while the strokes that Al suffered prevented him from speaking clearly, Al’s mind remained sharp and alert. He also said that Al continued to enjoy watching si-fi movies right up to the end.

Rich said that he had come to meet Al in 1970 through an introduction from the Scottish writer Ivan T Sanderson (1911-1973), who, Rich claimed, had great respect for Al Bielek.

Al Bielek’s birth certificate is dated March 31, 1927, but whether he was “born” on that date or not depends on how much of Al’s story you’re willing to believe. Al has always maintained that his real identity is that of Edward Cameron, son of a career Naval officer; that he had participated in the Philadelphia Experiment of August 12, 1943; and that he had been regressed back in time to that of a 9 month old baby in California in December 1927, where he was raised as “Al Bielek” by Arthur E. and Albertina Bielek.

Al Bielek was a close friend of Phil Schneider while he was still alive and convinced Phil to go public with his story of government collusion with negative extraterrestrials, bent on installing a New World Order slave society. Phil Schneider paid the ultimate price for his patriotism and allegiance to the American people when he was murdered by covert operatives in January of 1996.

Al Bielek also gave many audio and video presentations over the years with Preston Nichols, a veteran of the Montauk Project and co-author of many books on Montauk with Peter Moon. Preston is currently living in upstate New York.

Al Bielek demonstrated an early aptitude for electronics while still in high school and later developed into quite an expert.

Quoting a portion of Rich’s e-mail to me:

“As to his electronic abilities, I asked him once if he could look at a device sold by Mankind Research Unlimited (was CIA-connected I later discovered). Anyway Al proceeded to draw on the spot the entire schematic of the device! You may know that he was close friends with Bob Beck. He also was very heavily involved in ELF research during the time of the “Russian Woodpecker”.

The movie, “The Philadelphia Experiment” first triggered his suppressed memories on his involvement…”

More needs to be said of the life and times of Al Bielek, but I’ll wait to hear from more people who may have known Al and may wish to share their stories. Anyone wanting to send condolences to Al’s family can send letters or e-mails to me and I will forward them to Rich Grybos, who will in turn, forward them to Al Bielek’s niece, Dee.

At a later date, I may be able to talk to Dee directly and learn more details of Al’s final years. I lost contact with Al somewhere around 2007 or 2008. He had moved from his Florida apartment to a nursing home and I didn’t know how to contact him. I had many lengthy conversations with him over the phone from 2000 – 2006 and I took many notes.

He was an interesting man.

There is no definitive version of the Montauk Project narrative, but the most common accounts describe it as an extension or a continuation of the Philadelphia Experiment, alleged to have taken place in 1943. According to proponents, the Philadelphia Experiment supposedly aimed to render the USS Eldridge invisible to radar detection with disastrous results. Surviving researchers from the Philadelphia Experiment met in 1952-1953 with the aim of continuing their earlier work on manipulating the “electromagnetic shielding” that had been used to make the USS Eldridge invisible to radar and to the naked eye, and they wished to investigate the possible military applications of magnetic field manipulation as a means of psychological warfare.

Al Bielek was born in 1927. His first memories of being Al Bielek were when he was nine months old during a family Christmas party. The odd thing about his memory was that he fully understood the conversation that was taking place around the piano.

As Al went through grade school, he was know as the “walking encyclopedia”. Before graduating high school, he took an electronics test and was the only one to pass. The Navy needed people like him during the war years and recruited him. Al later completed his education and took on various vocations in the field of electronics. While contracting for various Military contractors, the people who worked with him began to reveal the truth about our involvement with Extra Terrestrials and PSI Ops (Psychic Operations) programs.

Strange things started to happen to Al soon afterwards.

While in Hawaii in 1956, he had a brief encounter with, who he believes now to be Mark Hammil – the actor in Star Wars. Soon after he was recruited into the Montauk Project. He would work his normal job in California, and take the underground subway to Montauk Long Island to carry out his duties there.

After the time tunnel was perfected, he would simply be teleported to the underground base and returned back to his apartment. During the 1970’s, Al was the Program Director for the Psychics who manned the Montauk Chair. Since the Montauk Boys were a key program at Montauk, Al had some influence with the Montauk Boys program. His duties were to handle the operations of the Mind Control program. He was in regular contact with Duncan Cameron and Preston Nichols. Stewart Swerdlow was one of the Montauk Boys programmers under Al Bielek.

In the 1980’s when the time control programs were operational, Al participated in some of the time travel experiments. Both he and Duncan traveled to Mars on several occasions. He now remembers several other trips he took with teams to a research station in 100,000 BC, other planets to get canisters filled with Light and Dark Energy, and to the year 6037.

In January 1988, after seeing the movie “The Philadelphia Experiment”, his memories started returning. Al believes his involvement with Montauk ended with that revelation. Over time and though meetings with Preston Nichols, Duncan Cameron, and others, many more memories returned. Ironically, just after his memories returned, Dr. John Von Neumann tried to get in touch with him – a promise he made to Ed Cameron, should his memories ever return. Al made the decision to go public with the information about his involvement at Montauk and the Philadelphia experiment in the 1989. He has been a prolific speaker on both radio talk shows and conferences.

He believes he has not been harmed or stopped because his time traveling experiences locked him into this timeline. Somehow, by being here today, he, among others in the program, serve to balance the effects they produced from prior time traveling experiments.

The Tuva culture is responsible for a sizable fraction of the songs in this podcast. The Tuvans “are a Turkic ethnic group living in southern Siberia.” (Wikipedia) Other examples in this episode come from Buddhism and the so-called western world.

MP3 tops out at a sample rate of 48000Hz. I’m a little disappointed.
Ogg’s downfall is poor hardware support — which always puzzled me since it is open source and would take literally a single workday to implement in popular hardware such as the one made by that fruit company. Even then, the likelihood of this one working on hardware is almost zero. My Sansa supports Ogg Vorbis, but not apparently at 96kHz.

When I was in fourth or fifth grade, the powers that be were bringing our school into the 20th century (20th) using computers. As such, every student had the added responsibility of showing up with a 3.5inch floppy disk in addition to the requisite colored pencils and spiral notebooks and such. I showed up with an 8 inch floppy disk.

YouTube user MrSolidSnake745 has rigged up eight floppy drives to make beautiful music. It makes a great subject for this, the second video game music episode. I know the Ghostbuster’s theme isn’t exactly a videogame tune but this version reminds me of the Sega Master System version.

Many cultures have celebrations of the middle of winter. The vikings called theirs Jul (pronounced Yule) and it was combined with New Year’s celebrations.

Celebration of the Norse New Year; a festival of 12 nights. This is the most important of all the Norse holidays. On the night of December 20, the god Ingvi Freyr rides over the earth on the back of his shining boar, bringing Light and Love back into the World. In later years, after the influence of Christianity, the god Baldur, then Jesus, was reborn at this festival. Jul signifies the beginning and end of all things; the darkest time (shortest hour of daylight) during the year and the brightest hope re-entering the world. During this festival, the Wild Hunt is at its greatest fervor, and the dead are said to range the Earth in its retinue. The god Wotan (Odin) is the leader of this Wild Ride; charging across the sky on his eight-legged horse, Sleipnir; a very awe-inspiring vision. In ancient times, Germanic and Norse children would leave their boots out by the hearth on Solstice Eve, filled with hay and sugar, for Sleipnir’s journey. In return, Wotan would leave them a gift for their kindness. In modern times, Sleipnir was changed to a reindeer and the grey-bearded Wotan became the kindly Santa Claus (Father Christmas).

The 8bitpeoples first came together in 1999 as a collective of artists sharing a common love for classic videogames and an approach to music which reflected this obsession. Our primary interests were to provide quality music for free and most importantly to have fun. In the years since, we have grown in rank and expanded our goals.

Frau Holle, formerly known as firestARTer aka Thomas Margolf, the self-named ‘Oldschool-Audio-Nerd’ is a traditional electronic-bedroom musician. In his youth, he played in several Bands but also worked on his own electronic music, made with the first trackers that were coming up. Since the middle 90’s his artist name is firestARTer. But since too many firestarters showed up he decided change his name into Frau Holle.
