Update #9: We’re Breaking up with SoundCloud

The day has finally come. Sadly, we at the Ajax Podcast have to announce that we’re breaking up with SoundCloud. The decision wasn’t a choice, but a necessity, as we didn’t feel like paying $15 a month for one of our small hobbies as two broke high schoolers. SoundCloud was great as we actually got specific stats on plays, but it has to be done. The good news is that the Ajax Podcast will definitely live on in almost every other form, as you can read in this post. Remember, you can subscribe via iTunes, listen directly on the website, etc.

After the critically acclaimed episodes #1 and #2, Ajax will be back (hopefully) on this Thursday with Episode #3! Since our first guest was so bad, we are foregoing a guest for Episode #3. Don’t fret, we’ll have a special guest for Episode #4, but he/she is undetermined at the moment. Look for the latest episode at 7:06 AM (Central) on the 17th! Even though we are one of the most accessible podcasts in the world, many people ask us: What’s the best way to listen to my favorite podcast? The answer is simple: Overcast. Overcast, an app for iOS, is the best place to subscribe to the Ajax Podcast, as it automatically downloads the latest episode and notifies you when it’s released.

How to set up Overcast:

1. Download Overcast from the App Store (or, if on mobile, click this link)

2. Copy this link (http://feeds.feedburner.com/Ajaxpodcast)

3. Hit the plus symbol (+) in the top right, then tap “add URL”

4. If you copied the link from step 2, the field should already be filled with the feedburner.com link

5. Tap “Done” and it’ll let you configure settings for the podcast, including having notifications whenever a new episode is up so you’ll know when the next one is ready!

6. Listen to and enjoy the world’s greatest podcast. (We’re humble, we know.)
