Bashed on Boston Radio.. and I LIKED it!

Taking time out to post this little bit of info: Yesterday I got some e-mails from the Boston area, asking for the Cheese Sandwich CD. I investigated, and the morning show on WFNX, The Sandbox, dug up a 2006 episode of the show and made fun of it.

Great stuff. Very funny.

Two things you got wrong, guys:
1. The Bill Camarata who used to have a radio show was in Alabama, not Ohio. My on-air experience was in college radio, board op work at WTAM in Cleveland, and 5 years of mixing audio for WOIO and WUAB-TV.
2. Monkey Call (the band I'm in) has never played Cincinnati, nor plans to.

Thanks again to those guys on The Sandbox, proving not all commercial radio sucks.
...and show #35 will be up in the next couple of days.

[scrubs] is BACK! and in HD!

Watched the first two new episodes of "Scrubs" eighth season on ABC (after 7 years on NBC) last night. The show is now in HD! It was a little hard to get used to the change in texture and the unique mix of comedy and drama on a wide screen, but the show is still great and I laughed out loud many times.
Courtney Cox (in her limited run as the new chief of medicine) isn't looking as good as she did on "Friends", but she has not lost her comedic edge. Sarah Chalke and Christa Miller, however, were both smoking hot - I wonder if this was intentional?
As much as I love this show, I just hope they let this season run it's course and finish the series with class. The seventh season was supposed to be the end of "Scrubs", but the writer's strike turned that season into a train wreck, even causing the shows to air in the wrong order. Maybe watching the shows again on DVD will be more comfortable.

Changes coming in '09!

Happy new year, all. Now that most of the excuses I've been using for not doing this podcast on a more regular basis have cleared themselves out of the way, I am going to be doing a little bit more posting, and a bit more recording, as I have resolved on the last show. Pre-production has begun for show thirty five, as well as other things that will hopefully make The Box of Sound one of your favorite websites in the days to come. There may be a change to the podcast feed, so get ready for that. Also... wait for it... I'm going to try and get listed on iTunes. There. I said it.

These changes are a direct result of your responses and emails to the site, and keep 'em coming, because they will continue to shape the show, along with the types of things I want to present to you.

Thanks again for reading, and listening, and get ready. This is going to be fun.
