St Martin's Cathedral openning hours during the season 2009

Saint Martin's Cathedral in Bratislava is open for visitors in 2009 from April 14th to November 1st every day except of Sunday from 9-11:30 am and 1-5 pm. The Cathedral church can be closed for public on Saturdays in case of a wedding ceremony. Entry fee is 2 euro per person. On Sundays, holy messes are in scheduled in these times: 07:45 (German); 09:00 (Latin); 10:30; 12:00; 17:00

We at Bratislava Audio Tour truly believe that MP3 format and digital distribution are the most effecient ways for our Bratislava offering. MP3 format is universal and easy to use. However, we recognize that there might still be people over there who would prefer to have something physical, such as an old good audio CD in their hands. You always can do it on your own- rip MP3s in your software and burn the home-made audio CD (there is no DRM restriction in our files). From May 2009, you have one more option.

When we were writing about Bratislava top attractions (index.php/Top-5-Bratislava-attractions-and-places-to-see.html), we mentioned the Main Square as one of the must-see locations in Bratislava. Its importance for those who like to have fun grows especially in December when it host the Christmas Market. Together with adjacent squares and streets it accommodates this December over 100 stalls, mostly offering typical Christmas cuisine and beverages.

James Bond in Bratislava- (Artistic licence 3)

James Bond returns to Austria in his new movie Quantum Solace. Not for the first time. In the movie Living Daylights (1987), the most famous British secret agent saves the world not only in Vienna but supposedly also in neighboring Bratislava. Living Daylights with Timothy Dalton in role of Bond was shot before 1989 when Czecho-Slovakia was still under the communist regime. Therefore, all scenes from Bratislava were actually shot in Vienna. We are proud to announce the arrival of the new member of BratislavaAudioTour.com family. Today we are launching the Audio/Video Bratislava Guide for iPhone and iPod. As we announced couple of weeks ago, we have prepared the video file format compatible with the most Apple products- video iPod, iPod Touch and old and new iPhone 3G. This is a revolutionary step- almost each world capital now have self-guided audio tour but video format for self-guided tour is very rare (at least, we are not aware of any). If you travel to Bratislava with GPS device like Garmin or TomTom, you may consider to use it also in conjunction with our guided tour. You can download the GPS co-ordinates of our audio tour, import them to your map application and/or directly to your GPS device and follow its route while moving to the next audio point.
