To give you a little background, all of us at Clunkercast met as co-workers for a Philippine-based car magazine. As we all went our separate ways, we would still come together from time to time to talk about our passion, which is motoring. We’d talk over coffee or over beer, and in one of these gatherings, one of us thought, “Why not record these sessions? I’d bet people would be willing to listen to them in their iPods or over their car stereo in the middle of traffic.”

Lo and behold, everyone was excited about the idea and the embers for, then, Road Rage Radio began to light up. After much “birthing pains,” as it were, and delays, we got one recording done late last month. However, when we listened to the recording, we realized that there wasn’t much “Rage” in Road Rage Radio and besides, this is not the kind of attitude we wanted to be associated with. So, we needed a new name, and since most of us had a clunker in some form or another, thus Clunkercast was born.

And now, the first of many podcasts of Clunkercast, formerly Road Rage Radio.
