In the tried, tested and much loved 811 shape (that’s a mid-rise skinny, in case you didn’t know!) this tiny pin stripe jean is surprisingly versatile, and as with everything J Brand put their name to, incredibly flattering and comfortable.

The monochrome colour allows for a range of outfit options, including a cream silk Pyrus blouse and black heels, light grey Madeleine Thompson cashmere with ankle boots, or Zoe Karssen bat tee and Bloch shoes.

But my favourite would have to be to contrast them with bright neon colours, such as coral, yellow or pink. They all look equally fabulous with what is proving to be one of this season’s hottest jeans.

The great thing about this shirt is that the print goes with everything including nudes, greys and black; Oz even plans to wear with her bright pink neon jeans from last summer (once they fit again!). And the super soft cotton fabric is hand washable – no dry cleaning required, hurrah.

In the snow, such as we have had recently, they will tuck beautifully into a pair of boots, with a piece of chunky knitwear. In slightly more transitional weather, the jeans fit neatly into ankle boots without excess length, due to the fact that the jeans crop at the ankle. This also makes them a great length to wear with a pair of flats, such as Bloch ballet shoes.

And finally, fast forwarding to the summer, they look fabulous with turn ups and a pair of plimsolls or flip flops. You could also dress them up with heels and a silk blouse for a casual evening look.
