Traceics officially closing

We will be officially closing traceics on July 29th, 2009, to focus our efforts on delivering top quality and performance products. I have had a social bookmark button on my arcades for as long as I can remember. Social bookmarking spreads your content across the Internet by making it easier for your website visitors to share it with other people. Nearly every website has one.
If you are a New Zealand only website I would not bother adding one. NZ’ers don’t click buttons or features. If you are thinking of adding one, I have found use of a good one. This book marking button is able to be customised. Language,width/height and colums/rows. The first I have found. There is every social book marking site on the button. PageRank For Your Website

Something else that is customisable is this Search Engine Optimization Monitoring Service. Basicly this is for your benefit, or even just to add some content. You can choose what statistic features you want to show, then just add the script.
Pr – Google PageRank is a numeric value that represents how important a page is on the web
Gi – The number of website pages indexed by Google
Gb – The number of web pages have backlink, known by Google
Yi – The number of website pages indexed by Yahoo
Yb – The number of web pages have backlink, known by Yahoo
Hits – Yesterday website page views
Host – Yesterday unique visitors
Ip – Visitor IP address

Anyone looking for a clock?

Now why would you want a clock on your website, I have no idea. I have a clock. On my computer, on my wrist, on my wall. I even married a clock that tells me when I need to do something (which is usually NOW!!).
Most of the clocks for websites read your computer clock, so the time is going to be same. Don’t matter what country you visit from it will be your timezone.

I found a clock that is set to timezone, so the clock on the Topsite will always be New Zealand time. No matter what country you are from.

Choose your clock, set your timezone and get the code. If anything, it tells you the time(which you already know) but adds a little something. What do you think about clocks on websites?

Introducing Our Latest Changes

It’s Craig here… yes you might remember me as the owner of KiwiTopsite – that hasn’t changed.
You might be wondering what has been going on here. Well to start with, I have added a featured content glider from Dynamic Drive. The intention of this was to give some information, options, along with a couple of quick links for a visitor to Kiwitopsite. It was noticed that there was no real greeting so that is why it is there.
What it has done is increased page views and out clicks. Here is a little info on something so simple:

No Button – No Show

I have also modified our script. If you have no pageviews, you will not be listed in the topsite. Now, the reason for that is if you don’t have our button on your website then we will not see pageviews. Therefore you will not be listed. You are still in the directory pages. Up to you.

We have changed from Websnapper to Thumbshots.org website previews. Thumbshots are clean clear and rendered immediately. Websnapper were always waiting to show. You can see them here

New Addition to Kiwitopsite

Wordpress has been added. This newsletter is written with it.

Wordpress installed

Kiwitopsite has now installed Wordpress so that newsletters and rss can be better managed. I have been running things through it to find out the working of it. At the moment it is full of rubbish frpm plugins that i have tried.

It will be new and improved and I will let you know when it is up and running properly. The idea is to let you be the one that posts your things into it. Leaving me to run my other websites. As always I am contactable using the contact page.
