A quick note - We are sorry we're so late with this; we both got hella sick last weekend, barely made it through watching the shows, and the editing job on this show to get rid of our coughing has been a chore - I got most of them, although i'm still hacking under Kim in a few places, sorry, couldn't be helped!

THIS WEEK: Week nine...the SEMI-FINALS! What? Whattayamean it's NOT The Semi-Finals? Of course it is - they're ALWAYS on week nine....the QUARTER FINALS? Who the hell came up with that cockamamie idea? OK...FINE,,,it's the friggin' QUARTER FINALS...they've apparently added another week to this season without bothering to tell ANY of us. Two dances - one regular, and the Trio dances..and it's ALL OVER THE ROAD. TC is in his best curmudgeon mode this week - he's really NOT HAPPY...and he's going to have a major rant during Trios coverage...plus all the dances and who is going home...right here!

Programming note - for the next two weeks, Mirrorball Mayhem will not be posted until Wednesday - next week because our local ABC affilate is pre-empting the show for Patriots football and we have to wait until Tuesday to watch it on OnDemand, and the following week because the finals are still a two night event.

THIS WEEK: There is something not quite right about being just two weeks away from the finals and still having seven people in the mix - the next few weeks are going to get interesting. As usual, they did dances all over the road again, but this time, there's a twist - the couple with the highest judges score gets "immunity" and won't have to take part in the "Dance Off Challenge" - whoo boy, another doofy gimmick. Plus - CHER is in da house, performing and filling in at the judges table for LenBob Crabby Pants...So who did what, how did things go, and who's going home? THIS WEEK: Season 17, Week 2 is over - the dances this week were the Jive, the Samba, the Rumba, and the Paso Doble (REALLY? On WEEK TWO?). The performances were all over the road, and we're still getting used to the new format. This week was also the first elimination, and we'll have that, plus a couple of interesting questions we're betting ABC hasn't thought of...yet...and of course, THE MINIONS SPEAK!

And because we forgot to bring it up on this week's show due to our being in an especially silly mood, congrats to Derek Hough for winning an Emmy Sunday night for Best Choreography (the crazy "Box Dance" from last season, plus two others he did on that show)! YAY!
