wife is just getting over a serious neck injury she has been out of commission for over a year and is missing 4wd. specialist has told her she can start doing it a gain if taken very carefully. reason for post, is there a seat available that will fit GQ patrol that has neck support similar to what is used in rally cars. can any one tell me if the existing seats out pf the GQ can be modified by upholstery type person to have neck supports fitted? she is currently using a neck support you buy from chemist, but she says not very comfortable to wear now that is starting to get hot.
hope this makes sense.
1) h/b (handbrake) light doesn't work. not sure where to start on this one.

2) LHF mirror is loose, and won't move up/down. fitted one from the wreckers, still not moving up or down and seemed to break as soon as i moved it left/right. the drivers side mirror moves up and down, so assuming the switch is ok.

3) rear wiper/washer switch mising. can't seem to see a plug behind the dash, the car is a 1994, apparently the switches changed in this year. there is a blue 8-pin plug, the switch i got is a 6+4 connector (10 pins, divided)

any input greatly appreciated, wanna try and get it on the road ASAP.

cheers,

After reading a few posts on fitting a catch can. I decided to give it a go. My local Super Cheap had a sale on and I picked up one of these for $50. Its a Calibre type one. But I have now called it Excalibre because of the mods I have done to it.

After reading a few posts on fitting a catch can. I decided to give it a go. My local Super Cheap had a sale on and I picked up one of these for $50. Its a Calibre type one. But I have now called it Excalibre because of the mods I have done to it.

I started the mod by machining a recess into the lid to give me a better seal area as well as a more positively located lid.

I then machined two slots into the lid to locate the divider I made to seperate the can into two halves. The slots are a bit wide as my smallest slot drill is 5mm and the divider is 3mm thick.

The divder ready for fitting.

The divider in place for a test fit of the lid.

When I was happy with the fit of the divider I ran a seal of RTV down the sides of the divider before I packed it with stainless steel wool. A little bit more of RTV and the lid went on and screwed down. A valve was fitted with hose attached to the bottom and I was ready to fit to the car.

Fitted to the car and plumbed in.

This is what I didn't use from the original kit.
