The roles are as follows:

Female

Hikari Horaki
A classmate at Shinji and Rei’s high school. Friendly and cheerful, with a touch of awkwardness, but completely unafraid to tell someone what she thinks of them!

Line 1: (Livid) You stupid bastard! What do you mean you didn’t see her?

Line 2: (Slightly wooden apology) It was wrong of me to blame you for what happened to Nozomi. My sister. Her name is Nozomi. I shouldn’t blame you for that.

Kyoko Zeppelin Sohryu
One of the three leaders of Project E. Haughty, arrogant, and extremely prideful of Evangelion UNIT-02 and its pilot. Not dead.

Line 1: I have already told you. Do not bother him. He has enough on his mind without you hounding him.

Line 2: I do not care what his mother says. We do not need to involve ourselves with him. And we certainly do not need people fawning over him when we could do much better with our pilot, do we?

Asuka Langley Sohryu
A shy, quiet girl who is fascinated by the Evangelion project. She had high hopes of being a pilot, ever since she was a little girl… but it’s too bad someone else got there first. Stammers when nervous.

Line 1: I know. But… you did kill it. I’ve never seen someone actually beat one of those things… was it exciting?.

Line 2: Or… or you could have done worse. I…thought you were brave. Very brave.

Male

Toji Suzuhara
A classmate of Shinji and Rei. Boisterous and full of that wonderful disease called adolescent testosterone.

Line 1: Calm down! Geez, Class Rep! Calm down!

Line 2: (Conciliatory) Look… For what it’s worth… sorry. If you didn’t dig her out, she woulda died and… so, yeah. Sorry.

Line 3: Hey, wait up!

SEELE 01 – Lorenz Kihl
The leader of SEELE – formerly GEHIRN – and a manipulator of many strings. An old man, though certainly not feeble, always speaking with a quiet menacing air.

Line 1: It shall be considered. Prove to us it is logical and it shall be done. What is the status of the Evangelions?

Line 2: It is fortunate you are still with us, Doctor. But do not forget. We shall not.

SEELE 02 – ???
Another member of SEELE.

Line 1: The destruction of the Fourth Angel has been accomplished. Even with the modifications to the Divine Technology. You have accomplished that which you promised, Doctor Ikari.

SEELE 06 – ???
Yet another member of SEELE. Somewhat friendlier.

Line 1: Understood. And the others?

The Narrator
Quite possibly the most important person in the universe. Also, possibly the universe.

Line 1: It started innocently enough. The girl, who he will admit is cute in her own way, with her dark pigtails and air of assumed if not actual authority, had asked to talk with him once he let it slip he was the new pilot.

The roles are as follows:

Female

Yui Ikari
The head scientist in charge of Project E and the designers of the Evangelion units. Yui is just as manipulative as her husband, but where Gendo gets results because he is scary, Yui gets results because she’s just so infuriatingly nice about it. Loses coherency when angry. Mother to all, even those she never gave birth to. Not dead.

Line 1: (Snappish) No. There was a better than likely chance that thing was going to eat me. I have an idea for an alternative that will still get that thing working. Until then, we’re not having any contact experiments. Clear?

Line 2: Your uncle and aunt has sent us updates, but it’s been too long. How are you?

Ritsuko Akagi
Lead Technician of Project E. Sarcastic, and damn proud of it. If anything happens with the Evangelions, she’s the one who knows what it is, and she is fully aware of this fact and will take lengths to make sure you do too.

Line 1: (Aside) Rei, be quiet. (To Shinji) Shinji, you were summoned here by your father. You’re in a facility called NERV-1. That creature that attacked you and Rei… (Trailing off) Right. This is Rei Ayanami. She is a Pilot. Like you. Do you know why you were summoned to Tokyo-3?

Line 2: (Exasperated) Don’t ask me. The Commander ordered Rei to rendezvous with him. If it were up to me, I would’ve sent you, Misato. Right now we can hope that Rei hasn’t scared him off.

Line 3: From what Section 2 tells us, Rei… agitated… the Fourth Angel, then had it chase her and Shinji across District 14 before they… they free fell into access port 4. Last I checked, Shinji was hyperventilating in a bathroom on floor B21.

Misato Katsuragi
Operations Director of NERV, commands the Evangelion units and directs the armed forces. Dedicated to her job, then unwinds like a party girl at spring break. When she’s on duty, she’s focused and professional. When off-duty, she’s… not. Appointed guardian of Shinji, and truly cares for him in sort of a big sisterly kind of way. Loves beer.

Line 1: (Sarcastically) Yeah, this is a great idea. Let’s start him out by introducing him to Rei.

Line 2: (Professional sympathy) The Angel put your head through a building. Whatever the Eva feels, you do. That’s how synchronization works. You have an unusually high synch ratio, so you definitely felt that.

Line 3: (Sympathetic) Your parents are both insanely busy, so they can’t take care of you. Your father’s the Commander, your mother heads the entire research department. (Cheerful) So, they made me a deal. I take care of you while you’re here. Alright?

Male

Shinji Ikari
Our Hero. Shinji is thrown into a world he knows nothing about, with a family he hasn’t seen in years. He adjusts well, considering. Likely one of the more calm and rational people in Tokyo-3.

Line 1: (Musing to himself) “Come”. Just “come”. I haven’t seen him in three years and that’s all I get?

Line 2: (Quietly terrified) Oh.. oh god.

Line 3: Oh shit!

Line 4: Three years, and I just get a postcard. Can you please tell me that this is a joke?

Line 5: I… I remember screaming. It broke my arm? (Waiting for confirmation) I… I remember that. I didn’t black out from that. I blacked out later. I calmed it down and I saw something in the rubble and… (Trailing off)

Gendo Ikari
Commander of NERV. Scary, methodical, and manipulative, though he concedes readily to Yui’s every wish. Just as likely to quietly intimidate you as shoot you in the face. The poster boy for calm.

Line 1: Hello, Shinji. It has been a while.

Line 2: Evangelion Unit 01. The single most advanced combat unit ever created by human hands.

Kozo Fuyutsuki
Gendo’s second-in-command. Stoic and reserved. Completely fears Rei, as he once babysat her.

Line 1: What happened?

Line 2: SEELE (say-lay) won’t be pleased with this.

Either

Recorded voice for the train/phone system.
Sounds like a recorded voice for public systems.

Line 1: Due to special emergency circumstances, all lines are currently out of service. Thank you.

NERV Technician
Performs administrative duties.

Line 1: Prepping for second stage. Initiating LCL ionization. Setting plug depth.

Line 2: Second stage successful. Plug depth set. Preparing third stage activation.

Line 3: Ready for third stage activation in three… two…
