I haven't been in the mood though we had a great vacation to South Dakota that I'd like to share. I even had a few Halloween projects to write about but meh. Can't explain the lack of interest in blogging. However, I couldn't resist a Halloween post.

Aidan decided to be a dementor from Harry Potter this year. I wasn't sure how to do this. I was a little sad as he's had such cute costumes in the past. He has been a kitty, frog, cardinal, black widow, mummy and Perry the Playtpus (Agent P). However, his imagination is so fun and I didn't want to steer him in any direction.

As usual, there is no pattern for the costumes that Aidan chooses. I modified Simplicity Pattern 5512, costume E. The fabric was a nice Kona Cotton. Since Aidan wanted his face to be covered and I wasn't willing to cover his face with the Kona cotton, I did a search for black cheesecloth. Apparently, it cannot be found anywhere. I settled for a wide weave, easy to rip "creepy cloth." It worked for his three costume wearings but by the end of trick-or-treat tonight, it had a big hole in it.

Additional modifications included sewing a layer of raggedy fabric between the bottom sleeve seams. I also left the bottom unfinished and cut a raggedy bottom. I sewed some extra creepy cloth to the outside of his costume and we added a pair of store-bought skeleton hands.

I find it a real treat to be able to make Aidan's costumes. I hope that he always wants my help. My mom and dad came this evening to join us for trick-or-treat in our great neighborhood. As his costume isn't one to be easily distinguished from other ghouls, it made me feel good when Jeff commented as Aidan was running from door-to-door that he really did resemble a dementor floating.

First of all, thanks for the nice comments about my rotten April and my anxiety issues.

May went better though baby Huck had a setback and was hospitalized for possible seizures. No evidence was found while in the hospital and he is home and doing well now.

Jeff and I celebrated our 9th anniversary. Nine! I can't stand it. Though I do feel that time has passed a little, it really seems hard to believe that I wed the love of my life nine years ago. I still feel giddy when I see him and we hold hands or rub feet every night. I think I am the luckiest wife on earth for getting to see Jeff every day.

Harder yet to believe is that precious Aidan is seven! Whistling, lego building, bike riding, tooth losing, snuggling, sassy pants, skipping, lover of reading, crafting, goofy, smart-alecky, freckle-faced, sugar bag, cat loving, rubber faced, butterfly watching, obsessed with water hoses, tender-hearted, sweet Aidan. He had a grand birthday that included breakfast with his Uncle Dan and cousins and then a party at my mom's house. My grandmother was there and silly Uncle Craig was visiting so that made it even more special. Uncle Craig made a cool zombie cake modeled after the game Plants vs. Zombies. Ever played it? We are addicted to it.

I make birthday buntings for Aidan every year based upon the theme of his party. This year, he has a new room decor - space. I decided that an American flag was appropriate. I'm not sure why. I think I was thinking about the flag on the moon and the space program. Bear with me - even though the flag looks a bit more primitive than space-ish, it works well in his bedroom, hanging over his bed.

I think I do much better sewing when I design my own pattern. This bunting is 14" x 14" with seven stripes and seven stars. I tried to design the seven, stars and the flag proportions similar to the 1776 flag. It went very well and Aidan loves it. That is all that matters.

If you want a tutorial, let me know. I'm thinking about making a flag for Independence Day and wouldn't mind sharing a tutorial.

Here's Aidan with silly string in his hair, trying a weird piece of candy that didn't go over well.

He came running up to me with a handful. My heart swooned.

I am so glad May is here. April was a really crummy month. Well, let me backtrack - a glorious thing happened last month. Beautiful baby Huck was born. Being an aunt again thrills me and Jeff and Aidan is tickled, too.

However, poor baby Huck has had a rough beginning. He developed viral meningitis. We are so happy he is home now and doing well (despite a soy/dairy allergy that is really inconveniencing his mommy and hurting his tummy).

Right before all that, we lost our Toulouse. Then, my wonderful Uncle Dane had emergency quintuple bypass surgery. He is home recovering. Outside of our beloved Toulouse, we are very lucky to have had these scary things end up well.

See that closed up dandelion in the vase under the water? I've felt that way a bit. We can no longer afford for me to see my therapist for anxiety issues and I have moments where I feel like I can't get my head above water. But having seen her, I know techniques that can help me rebound but it sure seems to take a long time. I think the fact that I have blogged a few times is a good sign.

May is my favorite month. Tulips, daffodils, budding perennials, seedlings, green grass, Mother's Day, wedding anniversary, a precious boy's birthday - these all make me so happy. So May is my much needed rescue.

Toulouse (pronounced too loose) first graced our lives three years ago when he was about 8. His former owner had died and he was taken to a shelter. That shelter called the Purebred Cat Rescue who placed him with a foster family. At the time we found him, I had been looking for a siamese kitten. But I saw his picture and fell in love. I talked to Jeff and I was allowed to pick him up from his foster family. Jeff likes to say that Toulouse always acted grateful to be in our home - that he never forgot how life could have been. He is convinced that Toulouse was a wise cat and I agree.

As luck would have it, my dad picked up a siamese kitten for me on the exact same day we brought Toulouse home. That would be Mucha (moo kuh). They were good brothers who fought, played and loved together. Mucha has been mourning his loss this past day, crying for him - looking confused. Last night he would crazily attack some of his toys and then glance over his shoulder, to see if Toulouse was coming. It is very sad.

I'd like to talk a little about Toulouse.

The day I brought Toulouse home, he seemed to know he had found his new home. It happened in one moment when I was trying to tempt both cats with cat toys. I happened upon a glitter ball and as soon as Toulouse saw it, he grabbed it in his mouth and took off.

Toulouse was silly about glitter balls. He would walk around the house and basement for hours with one in his mouth, meowing. Occasionally he would drop the ball down and bat at it. For a big cat, he was so cute playing with those balls. He would allow us to throw a ball to him and he would bat it back at us, sort of like baseball.

Toulouse was beautiful. He had a bit of a big cat look around the mouth. He had large, beautiful, wise, green eyes that he seemed to blink slowly in all his wisdom. Though small for a Maine Coon, he was hefty. His fur was patchy and his tail skinny when we got him but his fur quickly thickened and his fluffy tail was beautiful.

As I was so smitten with Toulouse when I saw him, he seemed to return the love to me. I was his person. Jeff says that not only did he love me, he was in love with me. It took him about a month or two to really warm up. He would initially spend his nights sleeping in the basement but eventually graduated to sleeping above my head. At night, when we would sit on the couch, Toulouse used to sit near me. Then he would allow himself to touch me and then eventually would lay on me, knead bread with his strong arms for what seemed like hours on me and then sleep behind me on the ledge of the couch.

Toulouse was like many other cats with his cute habits. Every morning when I would open the front curtains, he would beg for me to lift him to look out the window so he could inspect what was happening during the day. That would last for about 30 seconds and he would be satisfied. He would then bask in the sun. Any time you touched him, he would churr in response. Sometimes I would wait a few minutes between pettings just to hear him do it.

We have a great thing Toulouse used to do caught on video. Our front screen door has glass on the bottom. In the summer, he and Mucha -fated to be indoor cats- would stare outside, watching the world through the glass. If we opened the door in the winter, Toulouse would saunter over, try to peer through the window and, if foggy, he would sit on his hind legs, take both of his front paws and clean the glass.

Toulouse never met a stranger. He would greet anyone that came over and, if they were of the female persuasion, he would forget his love for me and be their cat. Everyone who met him, loved him.

We don't think Toulouse was in much pain until his last two days. He was super brave - grabbing at a glitter ball in his sickest. Our hearts are broken for this beloved cat who we only got to know for three years. He is as dear to me as any cat that I had growing up that lived to 18 or 20. I forgot how raw this grief can be. Aidan wants to bury him in the yard. When his remains are returned to us, we will bury him in the garden, near the garden wall that he loved to traipse across last summer.

You'll just have to do with my lovely harvest of Music Garlic last summer. We are using the last bulb now. Guess who forgot to plant garlic last fall? Big mistake. It has been excellent.

Here's a link to the buttermilk biscuits I made to go with the soup. Sassy Priscilla, why do you accidentally knock lamps and small children over with your hips? Ha! In attempt to get in control of my weight I only ate 2 biscuits.

I got the chicken soup stock recipe from Martha Stewart's January issue. I never knew it was so easy. However, with the homemade noodles, biscuits, and broth, be prepared to spend about 2 hours in the kitchen. That is OK because you can get your dishes put away, clean the next load and dream about your garden, and kick yourself for forgetting to plant garlic.

The noodle recipe is from AllRecipes. I don't know how to make vegetable stock yet. I bet Scott does. Scott and his family are vegetarians and he always has great green tips on his website. He has helped inspire me to be more conscious of my eating. It probably doesn't sound that way with my biscuit recipe and animal eating. But I've made quite an effort to think about what goes in our bodies and have eliminated corn syrup and partially hydrogenated oils. We use BPA-free storage containers and I have found strained tomatoes in glass. I'm doing my best within our budget to buy organic. Aidan and I have always been good fruit and vegetable eaters and we are now working on Jeff.

I'm going to be working on getting rid of soy next. When Aidan was an infant, he was allergic to dairy so I had to cut dairy and soy out of my diet for about a year because I was breastfeeding. I dropped a lot of weight. It could have been the dairy/soy elimination, it could have been the extra calories needed for breastfeeding, it could have been the stress of 3 heart surgeries for Aidan in 6 months. I'm guessing a combination. I gained all the weight back and then some and I wasn't a waif to begin with. So a change needs to happen.

Oh shoot, where was I? Noodles. Soup base. These noodles will be great in your favorite soup base - be it animal stock or vegetable. Add your favorite soup vegetables, use your favorite seasoning. I've just included our favorites and the template for how to make everything. Don't mess with the chicken, water or salt. Play around with any of the other ingredients.

This makes enough soup to feed us 3, a couple lunches for me and some to freeze. Plus, you will have leftover chicken for another meal. Speaking of that, does anyone have a good recipe for leftover dark meat chicken?

Chicken Stock
as learned from Martha Stewart Living

Ingredients
1 cut-up fryer chicken
8 cups of water
1 T salt
1 large clove or 2 small cloves of garlic, chopped finely
1 t Penzey's Poultry Seasoning
1 slice Penzey's Ginger root or 1/2 t powdered ginger
3 Celery Heart Stalks, chopped
4 Carrots, peeled and chopped*
Homemade noodles (see recipe below) or your favorite store-bought noodles.
*Martha Stewart adds onion. I hate onion so it is not in my recipe. I would think this is a staple for most people. You may want to think about adding your own favorite vegetables here. If it were just for me, I would add broccoli and spinach near the end of cooking.

Directions
Prepare all your ingredients first. This will ease a little stress.

Put your fryer chicken pieces (skin and bones, too), salt and water in a pot. Bring to a boil. Skim off foam. Add garlic, poultry seasoning, ginger and celery [onions, too]. Lower heat to simmer. Cook for 30 minutes, partially covered.

Make your noodles during this first 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, get out a plate and your tongs. Remove the chicken breasts and place them on the plate to cool.

Add your carrots to the stock. Simmer, partially covered, for 40 more minutes. Towards the end of this time, remove the skin and bones from your chicken breasts and shred your chicken. Set aside.

After 40 minutes have passed, remove the dark meat chicken from the pot and reserve for another meal. Add your shredded white meat chicken to the stock and bring the stock back to a boil. Add your noodles and cook for a couple minutes. Reduce heat to simmer.

Serve with your favorite crackers or bread.

Egg Noodles
from All Recipes

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 pinch salt
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter, melted

Directions

In a large bowl, stir together the flour and salt. Add the beaten egg, milk, and butter. Knead dough until smooth, about 5 minutes. Let rest in a covered bowl for 10 minutes.

On a floured surface, roll out to 1/8 or 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into desired lengths using a pizza cutter.

If possible, allow to air dry before cooking. It just makes it easier to put it in the pot. It is not necessary.

It is awesome. Tuts Washington, Henry Roeland Byrd (Professor Longhair, aka 'Fess) and Allen Toussaint were going to perform a concert together. The process was being documented on film to show how they rehearsed and influenced each. However, the focus of the documentary changed when Professor Longhair died in his sleep two days before the concert.

I'm hardly an expert for New Orleans Jazz or even Mardi Gras songs. I'm game for anyone telling me their favorites. I've just put together a list of my favorite songs. Most of them are by Professor Longhair. I've seen a few of these guys in concert thanks to the WIsconsin State Fair and Summerfest (Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Harry Connick, Jr. and Dr. John). I threw in a little Ray Charles' Mess Around. Not technically New Orleans Jazz but I like his version of the Mess Around better than Fess'. I'd love, love, love to head down to New Orleans and go to Tipitina's (named after Professor Longhair's famous song).
I served a Fat Tuesday meal tonight because I'm making stuffed pizza tomorrow. No reason for the switcheroo except Jeff won't be home until late tonight. I did not make the intended King Cake because I heard it isn't that awesome (dry). Is that true?
If you get Penzey's catalog, you will find a coupon for a free spice. This month's spice is Cajun Seasoning. Looking for a way to cook it, I used this recipe as a guideline on how to make Blackened Cajun Chicken.

The chicken turned out excellent - real moist and delicious. I think I'm going to find a way to blacken a butterflied chicken (hammered thin) that can be used for sandwiches with some cuban rolls. Cajun and Cuban together? Oh yeah - it will be excellent! I served this chicken with some brown rice and glazed carrots. This meal was enough to feed 4 people.

Technique

Take two pieces of your decorative paper and place wrong sides together. Fold in half and cut your prettiest heart out. You are trying to cut two, identical hearts.

Move your scissors inside your heart about an inch and cut another heart out from the heart you just cut. This will give you that nice heart border.

Cut a piece of cellophane a little larger than your heart. Now I used cellophane from a roll. If you have sheets of cellophane, you may wish to adjust your heart size first before cutting so that the cellophane will fit.

Using your glue stick, glue the entire wrong side of one heart. Then, gently place the heart on your cellophane. Make sure the cellophane is nice and smooth. Turn the cellophane over.

Glue the wrong side of your second heart. Carefully place the glue side down on the reverse side of the cellophane and match the edges of the first heart you glued down. If your edges don't line up exactly, do not fret. It will be difficult to notice when the sunlight is prettily shining through it.

Let the glue dry for a moment and then trim the cellophane around the outside edge of the heart. You may even trim your heart a little in the process as it will give you a cleaner edge.

Paper punch in the middle of your heart and hang directly on a suction cup hook or string some pretty ribbon through the hole to hang. My first picture shows both techniques. I made the top heart. Aidan - who is 6 - made the bottom one. It is hard to see but he put another heart on his in the middle. Off topic - I wish I could fix my neighbor's top window.

The second picture shows the paper in more detail. I used scrapbook paper. I don't think it matters as you really don't notice anything but the beautiful cellophane.

But I thought it would help to explain how I did it.

Materials/Tools Needed

Stiff fabric (using this technique) or heavyweight, decorative paper

Small paper punch

Heart paper punch (necessary if you can't cut your hearts freehand)

Thin twine or string (smaller in diameter than your small paper punch)

Magnetic tape or thin, self-adhesive magnets

Technique

Punch the desired number of hearts out using you heart paper punch. You can use the old-school technique of folding your paper and cutting your hearts, too.

Use a small paper punch to punch a hole on each side of the heart.

Cut a length of twine or string long enough for you to feel comfortable tying a shoelace bow (I used about 2 1/2 inches). Cut 7 pieces for a 6-heart garland - this includes one piece for between each heart set and the ends.

Tie a shoelace bow (as in how you tie your shoes) with your twine/string to connect each heart to the next. Do not overlap the hearts, rather set them side-by-side. Trim the extra twine/string. Tie a bow on each end of the ending hearts.

Cut a small square of magnetic tape and attach to each end heart. This allows the middle hearts to hang nicely.

Attach to your refrigerator or file cabinet or another fine, magnetic surface.

Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that has given them a hard time about their choice for a baby name. I photographed the bunting without the first letter of the name. Start your guesses now!

Anyway, a few weekends ago, my sister Heather and her partner, Susannah, were given a baby shower for their upcoming baby boy. Susannah's sister and step-mom hosted the shower and flew in along with several other family members for the shower. They paid for the food and made the arrangements. My mom did flowers. My sister Missy did the games. I hardly had to do anything. Score!

I did make this bunting for baby "Uck's" room. I bought a crib sheet from the collection they've selected to decorate his room. I used letters from an alphabet fabric - the name escapes me. I used a pre-made bias tape which I thought coordinated nicely. I also made some burp rags which I forgot to photograph.

The shower was lovely. My grandma and aunt made the trip for the shower. Family friends were there. Susannah's family was real fun to be with.

We are very excited about having another boy in the family. Missy has two boys, I have one and now we'll have baby "Uck." Want to know his real name? It is after the jump!

It is difficult with the canned goods - especially tomato products. I make all our own pizza and pasta sauces and use tomato puree. Though we had a wonderful garden of tomatoes, I neglected to freeze any because we ate them all! My local grocer was able to order some jarred, organic, strained tomatoes and though they are expensive, they work perfect!

One of the things I was surprised at finding partially hydrogenated oils in was graham crackers. Yes, I can buy the mealy Bunny Grahams but Aidan doesn't really eat them. So I turned to AllRecipes for a recipe. I found a nice one that is the perfect consistency and rolls out nicely. However, the taste - just ok. We found that letting them sit for a day improved the flavor but there is that overall wheat/dirt aftertaste. We found that they were a bit addicting, though. I think if I can boost the flavor, we'll have a real hit.

My plan is to make these again and either use less wheat flour or a white wheat flour to see if that improves the flavor. I may add a bit of cinnamon to the dough, too. Sprinkling the tops with cinnamon/sugar before baking is a must.

Aren't the shapes cute? They are from Williams Sonoma. I think they are just called Circus Animals. I don't believe they are carried by Williams Sonoma anymore.

Changes that I made to the recipe include substituting butter for the margarine and sprinkling the tops with cinnamon and sugar. I rolled the dough to about 1/4" and used LOTS of flour when rolling and cutting the cookies out. Future changes I'm mulling are using 2 cups white flour with 1 cup whole wheat our trying a white wheat flour. I may add cinnamon to the dough or a little more vanilla and honey.

Honey Graham Crackers
adapted from AllRecipes

Ingredients

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
cinnamon/sugar mixture

Directions

Sift together the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda; set aside.

In a medium bowl, cream together the margarine, brown sugar and honey until light and fluffy. Stir in the sifted ingredients alternating with the milk and vanilla. Cover dough and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Divide the chilled dough iinto quarters. On a well floured surface, roll the dough out one quarter at a time iinto a 5x15 inch rectangle. Divide into rectangles using a knife. Place rectangles ointo ungreased cookie sheets. Mark a line down the center of each one, and prick with a fork. Alternatively, you can use cookie cutters. Sprinkle with a cinnamon sugar mixture before baking.

Bake for 13 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.

But I always return to this same, easy, delicious recipe. Jeff is pretty picky about what he wants in certain foods and basically, coffee cake must just be a mass of cinnamon. This has a basic light, fluffy cake with a mass of cinnamon streusel on top.

As usual, I turned to my favorite food recipe supplier - Southern Living. This one was from their December 2008 issue. I've tweaked it just a tiny bit. I doubled the streusel topping and added a tablespoon extra butter (Sassypriscilla, why can't you lose weight?) and eliminated the vanilla glaze. You can view the original recipe here. My recipe is below.

Here's a baking tip. Are you in a hurry to bake and have forgotten to take your butter out to get to room temperature? I do this all the time. Not a problem. No, no, no - stay away from the microwave. Just put your rock hard butter into your mixer and beat the heck out of it for a couple minutes. Now, without further ado (after the jump).

Quick Breakfast Coffee Cake

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk

Streusel

2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 heaping teaspoon ground cinnamon

1. Combine brown sugar, butter, flour, and cinnamon in a small bowl.

Coffee Cake Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 400°. Beat butter and sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating just until blended after each addition.

2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Beat at low speed just until blended after each addition.

3. Pour batter into a lightly greased 9-inch round cake pan, and top with Streusel.

4. Bake at 400° for 20 to 22 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

So the last few weeks have been a little rough. Something to do with a fender bender, failed refinance attempt, lack of money, a split lip on Aidan, and most important - a pretty sick cat. Then I see images of Haiti every day and I feel like a schmuck. I could have seen images of Haiti before the earthquake and felt like a schmuck.

I have so much to be grateful for while sitting in my strong, sweet brick home. I get to spend the day sewing gifts for a new nephew waiting to be born in April. His mothers (my sister and sister-in-law) are having a baby shower tomorrow. Of course, I am all about the last-minute but I am geared up while my healthy little boy is at school. I am lucky to have a job at home that allows me this time and can pay for my supplies.

Toulouse, the aforementioned sick cat, is getting better and I couldn't be happier. Some day when I figure out how to post video, I will include one of Toulouse clearing the fogged up window on our front door for better view.

I'll make a nice dinner to have waiting for my healthy husband who will be teaching 7 classes this semester! I could make a huge list of the gratefuls but you get the idea.

So my question is - what do you do in a crisis like this? We are always short on money but I use some of my business money to sponsor business loans using Kiva. We always try to give to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. For disaster relief, I like the Red Cross and Doctors without Borders. What are your favorite organizations and why?

Aidan decided to be Perry the Platypus from the Disney Channel's Phineas and Ferb. Ever seen the show? It is hilarious. Jeff and I are known to watch it when Aidan is in bed.

Not only was Aidan Perry the Platypus, he was secret agent Perry the Platypus. This means he has a secret agent hat and his eyes aren't so wonky.
Now there are no playtpus costume sewing patterns so I had to wing it. I used Butterick 3238 for the costume and hood base. Piece of cake except they neglected a major step. Isn't there quality control at these pattern companies?

I also put off Halloween costume making until the very last possible minute. I can't blame Swine Flu as I am a known procrastinator. Swine Flu did not help. That does not mean that I didn't have all the materials ready 6 weeks ago - I did. I had the perfect color Kona Cotton for the costume.

Aidan decided to be Perry the Platypus from the Disney Channel's Phineas and Ferb. Piece of cake except they neglected a major step. Isn't there quality control at these pattern companies? I winged the tail. The bill was way hard to figure out. I ended up using two pieces and some elastic to hold it on to the middle of his face but, in retrospect, should have sewn it to the top of the costume and added Perry's eyes similar to his cardinal costume (scroll down).

To top off the costume, we used Aidan's Indiana Jones fedora with black ribbon around it.

Aidan LOVED the costume. A lot of the homes we went to didn't recognize him but a ton of kids and adults trick-or-treating did. Jeff leaned over to me last night as we were trick or treating and said "this is where you get your validation" in reference to an earlier sulky conversation we had (I was the sulky one). I brushed him off until I heard someone say "that is the coolest costume ever!"

I started off the evening crabby as we had to cancel a Halloween Open House due to SWINE FLU. The costume took longer than I expected. Aidan was a pill and had been for the week. However, my mom and dad came over which always helps. We snapped pictures of a squirrely Aidan fighting off Doofenshmirtz.

Mom passed out candy and Jeff, Dad, Aidan and I walked the neighborhood.

Our neighborhood is awesome. We have our own Trick-or-Treat time (night!) and houses go all out. The moon was near full, the air was crisp, we scuffed our feet through newly fallen leaves due to major wind these last few days. Houses go all out with spooky music, bonfires, and creepy decorations. One house even passed out Brain Shots to the parents similar to this recipe except with Peach Schnapps and Bailey's. It warmed us up, lightened the mood and was pretty darn fun.

We came home and had Cuban Rolls and a bunch of candy. Aidan could hardly calm down. When he went to bed, we heard Aidan singing this song before he conked out. Melody is similar to the Lone Ranger melody:

Halloween, Trick or Treat, Halloween, Trick or Treat, HalloWEEEEEN, Trick or Treat. Trick or Treat, Trick or Treat, Trick or Treat, Trick or Treat, Trick or Treat, Trick or Treat, BOO!
