Thanks to one of my readers, she showed me the reason most people fail to achieve their dreams.

It is just like what you read in the title…

“Work on your dreams and your dreams will work for you”

The dream I’m referring here is not the dream that you make when you’re sleeping. It is a vision, an image of what you want to achieve in your life in the future.

So why do most people fail to make their dreams come true?

The reasons are quite simple and common. First, their dreams are not really dreams for them. For most people, when you ask them about their dreams, they’ll tell you something broad, which is too general. For example, you often heard people telling you they want to be rich or they want to have a lot of money.

What is the problem with this dream? It is just not specific enough. In other words, it also means that those who are telling you these dreams are not clear of what they really want in their life. For them, it is not a dream, it is just a flash of an idea or thought.

This is the first reason. The second reason is this, most people are not committed enough. Out of 100 people who tell you they want to be rich, only 1 out of them will set that dream as a goal and create an action plan to achieve it.

This is just too ridiculous don’t you think? People want to be successful. However, they do not know what successful really means to them and they’re not doing anything to be successful.

Now, think about what you want to achieve in your life, think about your dreams. Are they really your dreams? Are they worthy for you to pursue?

If you answer yes, then answer this following question now, why are your dreams still remain dreams?

Take your time and really think about this question. I know you want to be successful, but why you’re not successful YET?

I bet you’ll come up with a lot of excuses such as you don’t have the time to pursue for more wealth, you don’t have the time to run your own business, you don’t have the talent or skill and so on and so forth.

Let me tell you this, those excuses you made are the areas where you need improvement. You’re telling yourself where you’re lacking the ability to make what you want to come true.

If you’re telling yourself that you don’t have the time to build an extra small business, it simply means that your time management is not good enough.

If you’re telling yourself that you don’t have the money to invest in the market, it simply means you lack the knowledge of how to start investing from zero capital. Find yourself a book, attend seminars and workshop to learn how you can invest with small or zero capital!

If you’re telling yourself that your wife or your husband or your children are in your way, you need to learn how to build a perfect family and give your family good reasons for you to start your own business.

So stop making excuses and start taking action! You’re not going to become a millionaire by just visualizing or sitting and dreaming about it. You need action to achieve what you want in your life.

Last but not least, this is the reason that I like the most…

People becoming rich not because they want to be rich, it is because they are pursuing their dream and it is their dream that makes them rich.

If becoming rich is one of your dreams, then you’ll have to find out the reason you want to be rich.

It is just like if your dream is to help people how they can improve their memory skill. When you’re pursuing this dream, in the process of achieving it, you will automatically create the wealth and become rich.

It is your reason that will drive you forward.

Have you ever wondered why some people want to be rich? They feel happy when they drive big cars and live in luxury house. While for some other people who are living in the rural area, they feel that they’re successful and happy even they don’t have big cars or not living in luxury house.

Why is this so? It all comes down to your reasons, why you want to achieve what you want in your life.

How To Handle Procrastination

Let’s face it, everyone, no matter who you are, where you’re from or what you do, I believe that you’ll someday have to face the #1 success killer, procrastination.

To tell you the truth, when talking about overcoming procrastination or the lazy to take action, I feel guilty myself. Sometimes I’ll just feel lazy and just don’t have the motivation or energy to do the things I have to do. I believe you have faced this before in your life as well.

In fact, there is no procrastination. No matter what you do, it is a kind of action. It is either the action will produce the results you want or the results you don’t want.

It is just like if you decided to write an article, but you feel boring, you feel like just want to leave it and so you end up watching television. Watching television is also a kind of action. It is an action that will not lead you to the results or outcome you wish to have.

Have you ever woke early in the morning, feel sleepy, hit the alarm into snooze mode and just fall back into your bed and continue to sleep? This is also a kind of procrastination.

Maybe you plan to wake up 1 hour earlier to read a book or listen to an audio program. However, you just cannot make it. Once you wake up, there’s a voice telling you that you’re tired and you want to sleep. Have you faced this before? I bet you do.

In order to get rid of procrastination, you have to first…

Make It As A Habit

Yes, you have to take the action everyday to make it into a habit. For example, if you never brush your teeth before you sleep and you decided to do it start from today, you’ll have to develop it as a habit. What I mean here is that you have to keep on doing it every night without a miss for at least 21 days.

If you follow through and brush your teeth before you sleep for the next 21 days continuously, you’ll make it into a habit and you’ll never procrastinate it anymore. The longer the period you keep doing it the stronger you will condition your mind to make it into a habit.

This is why some people just can’t get rid of their smoking habit. That’s simply because they’re doing for so long and they’ve conditioned it into their mind, and finally it becomes a deep rooted habit.

If you have the habit of brushing your teeth every night before you sleep, you will feel uneasy and uncomfortable if you try to sleep without brushing your teeth.

So how can you actually handle procrastination?

Practice The Power Of Now

The answer is pretty simple. Like what Nike always say, “Just Do It!”

When you’re trying to do something, just do it. Don’t think and don’t stop. If you’re trying to write an article, just sit in front of your computer and write it. Don’t stop and don’t let yourself thinking whether should you write it. Just do it.

Often, it is our thinking that will lead us into procrastination. The more you think the more you will procrastinate. When you think about whether should you do it, your mind will focus in thoughts that will give you instant gratification or immediate pleasure.

And when this happens, you will find a lot of reasons for yourself to procrastinate.

Beware! If this keep on happening, you’ll make it a habit as well!

Some people have serious procrastination problem and this is the reason, because they’ve developed and conditioned procrastination as a habit.

So now you’ve learned it. The best way to handle procrastination, is the power of now. Do it right away, don’t stop and don’t think.

Success Is All About Getting Things Done

It is not difficult to handle procrastination actually. After you have identified what you’re going to do, create a schedule of when to do it, and when the time come, just do it.

Always remember this, success is a process, not a destination. If you’re taking action, you’re processing the results, you’re already half-way to success.

What you have to do to get rid of procrastination is to link procrastination with pain and not pleasure. In the same time, link getting things done with pleasure. By doing this, you will feel motivated and be more willing to start.

For example, if you’ve decided to spend 1 hour everyday to read a book, link reading the book as a fun process. Take it as something that you very enjoy, it’s your hobby and you’ll feel satisfy if you do it.

While doing this, link and imagine that if you’re not doing it people might look down on you. Maybe your children will laugh at you as you can’t even finish a book or so. The point is to link and imagine pain when you’re trying to procrastinate. This will give you the motivation to take the action you are supposed to take.

If you’re procrastinating something, don’t feel bad about it. I’ll also procrastinate sometimes. And I believe everyone does. Therefore, you still have the chance and time to change, to get rid of procrastination. Adopt the habit of doing it immediately… start from now!

The Passion Test

I’ve been busy lately because of my new job as a real estate agent. In fact, I’ve resigned the job. I late found that my real passion is still in internet marketing, not real estate. And that’s the reason I let go the job as an agent.

After all, I’ve been blogging for around 2 years and I’ve been learning about internet marketing since then. And the number one reason I keep on doing internet marketing is that I really like it. I even took part in one of the internet marketing workshops held by the super affiliate Ewen Chia last year.

And because of this, I’ve decided to go full time into internet marketing. Although that I cannot guarantee any results from the internet, but I believe that as long as I’m willing to work for it and put in 100% commitment, I can success in any field I’m in.

Last week, I did a lot of thinking whether should I let go the real estate agent job. If I let go, what am I going to do? Trust me, those are the period where I’m frustrated and dangling in nowhere.

I believe that you don’t want to go through those times. What happened that made me into making the decision of letting go real estate and go into internet marketing is this book, The Passion Test.

Why You Need Passion To Succeed

I’ve been in blogging for quite some time now. Lately, I’ve been thinking about why I keep on blogging. This blog is more than 2 years old, but still, I keep on blogging and bringing more inspirational posts to my readers. Most of the blogs out there cannot stand for more than 6 months.

One of the reasons for me to keep on blogging in this blog is my passion. Before I start this blog, I’d really think about what I like to talk about, and it ended up with I’m sharing motivational and success tips with here.

To be successful in life has been one of my passions and that’s the reason I keep on blogging about it even though sometimes I’ll feel it is a mundane and tedious job.

I believe that you understand that if you want to be successful in what your life, you must do something that is congruent with your passion. Just like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Donald Trump, Bill Gates and more. They share common traits, they are very rich and successful, and one more extra is key is that they are doing what they love.

Think about it, Michael Jackson loves to dance. He’ll do it even if he’s not rich or it does not pay him any reward. What about Michael Jordan? Do you think that he trained so hard just because he wants to get famous? Of course not. He becomes the top player in basketball simply because he has intense passion for it. He trained himself from morning until night without giving up.

As you can see now, passion is the key to success that you can never miss. But why do you need passion to succeed in your life? Here are some of the reasons I found in my research…

1. It Is The Source Of Motivation

Yes, when you do something that you love, you’ll never feel tired about it. Even if you feel tired, you’ll never complain about it. Everyone has their own field of passion. Some people like to rear dogs, some people like to rear cats, some people love to invest their money in the stock market, some people like to play piano, and so on and so forth.

The question now is, “Do you know where your passion is?”

It is only by doing something you love, you will thrive in that field. Have you ever wondered why some successful people can stay up late until 3am just to get their stuff done? That’s simply because they love to do it! They feel energetic when doing it, that’s the source of motivation you need if you want to be the person you wish in the future.

So right now, choose a field that you’re passionate about. You must know what you love to do and do more of it only then you will succeed from it.

2. It Is A Positive Excuse

Besides as a source of motivation, your passion will also work as a constructive excuse for you. Let me give you a clear example of what I mean here. Do you think that make money online is something possible? For some people, they’re skeptical, they don’t believe that it is possible to make money from the internet.

So if you have a strong passion in internet marketing, you can tell your friends or those people who don’t believe in it, “I’m just doing for my passion, I like to do it and I’ll do it even I don’t earn anything from it.”

What will that person answer you if you told that person this way? I’m sure they’ll agree with you because you’re doing something you love, it’s your hobby, they cannot disagree with what you’re doing and they’ll not stop you.

When you say that it is your hobby or your interest, you’re actually acting on it. Sooner or later, you’ll find yourself really love what you do. This is because you’re faking it until you make it real. This is what successful people always do to themselves. They picture image of them living their dreams, driving their luxury cars, achieving their goals, etc. They are faking the results so that they can be successful in the end.

3. You’ll Never Give Up

Yes, when you do something you love, most likely you’ll never give up. Look at this blog, it’s been more than 2 years, but I’m still updating it. Why? Simply because I’ve intense passion for writing inspirational articles for my readers. I like to receive emails or comments from my readers telling me how much they like my blog and sometimes they even share their dreams with me.

This is the source of great motivation for me. I don’t know about you, but I believe that when you’re doing something that you truly have intense passion, you’ll never give up. Instead, you’ll do it no matter what. Just like playing badminton. It’s been one of my hobby in sports. When my friends invite me for it, I’ll definitely give them positive answer unless I’m really cannot make it.

Even if I reject them, I’ll feel like a big loss because my heart telling me to join them for the game. I wonder if you’ll have this kind of feeling towards something you love to do.

Do you strongly believe that you can become the person you want to be? Here’s what I’m going to tell you, “you can be who you want to be if you follow through my advice in this article, guaranteed.”

However, before you can become the person you want, you must first make the decision that you are willing to change, to become who you want to. There’s no point telling you how to become a successful person that you always wanted to be if you don’t want to be one, right?

Next, you have to decide who you want to be. Do you want to be like Tiger Woods? Enjoying the sports you like while still earning tons of money? Do you want to be like Tom Cruise? Become a movie star and get known in the eye of the world? Or do you want to be the next Bill Gates? Become ultra rich? The choice is yours.

You can be who you want to be as long as you know what you want. And I’m here to tell you, don’t doubt about whom you can be and what you can accomplish in your life. You are who you think you are. If you think you’re someone who’s poor and live a mediocre life, you will be that person.

1. Learn Everything You Can About The Person You Want To Be

If you want to be a real estate superstar, then study about the people in real estate, what they do, their mindset, their beliefs, their physiology when they close deals, the way they talk to their prospects, the way they breathe and more. In other words, you want to model the person who you wish to be.

I believe that you can find a lot of useful resources from the library, your local bookstore or even the internet itself. Just like if you want to be an internet millionaire, you must study the proven system used by successful internet millionaires. 2. Apply Those Knowledge, Skills And Experience That You Have Acquired

The main differences between a super achiever and an under achiever is this, the lack of action. If you’re not doing anything, you’ll never produce anything. Have you ever wondered why some people who have master degrees or PhDs fail to accomplish amazing results in their life but those who dropout of their school produce amazing results?

Everyone has the ability to learn and to acquire new knowledge, but not everyone is willing to apply the knowledge they have in their mind.

It’s been quite a long time since my last post here. I’ve been quite busy lately (just my own excuse for being lazy and putting things off). I’ve just finished my 4 years university life as a student, and now I’m waiting to go into the so-called “real world”.

I’m going to start my work or my “job” as an real estate negotiator this coming June. This is a no salary job. It is a 100% commission based work. Therefore, a lot of people actually disagree that I work as a real estate agent. After all, many people have the mindset that they must work and get paid for it.

I’m not thinking it the same way, for me, I’m thinking to get paid for my performance and not because of wanting a fix salary. That is why I chose this work. Anyway, this is off topic. Let us get into today’s topic.

So what is the #1 killer of all successes?

Do you know why most people live a mediocre life and get nowhere in their life? The answer is very simple, procrastination, or inactivity.

Many people know what they want in their life. Some people think of building their own business, they have a lot of constructive and creative ideas, but they just don’t implement them.

I bet you are the same. So do you know what you want to achieve in your life? Have you achieved it?

I bet the answer is a big no, right?

This is what is stopping most people from getting what they want in their life. In fact, there is no procrastination. Not doing something is also a kind of action, the unproductive action.

If you think whether you should jog or continue to sleep, most of the time you will end up sleeping. It is the same in doing business. I know that you have to consider a lot of factors before you start a business, but remember this, if you keep on thinking and without taking any action, you will never have your own business.

Most people fail because of inactivity. As long as you can get a breakthrough and taking consistent action, you will achieve what you want in your life.

Successful people are determined and they are committed to get what they want. They will arise early and sleep later just because of their dreams. Once you make a 100% commitment to something, there are no exceptions. It’s a done deal. Non-negotiable. Case closed! Over and out. If you make a 100% commitment to achieving your goals, that’s it. You’ll never doubt yourself whether you will be able to do it or not. There are no exceptions no matter what the circumstances.
