We can't help but remember this when we see "'Merica!" stans trying to leave out the parts that include our ancestors.and what they went through, to then not be acknowledged for building so much of this country. For most, who disagree with the separation focused destruction of families, it easy to see the parallels with slavery as children are taken from adults, tortured and forever psychologically damaged. Perpetuating this legacy is not culturally, nor morally, right. Independence history is, in America, a one sided affair.

Maybe #Netflix is its own genre. I'm old, (or feel old when watching), but the story telling, cinematography and acting talent kept me glued to Dear White People, in Season 2. The first season was good, but it took me a year to finally finish, and definitely lowered my expectations for season 2. Oh, well. Season two got me. I enjoyed it. I appreciate how difficult it must have been to sell how it covered impossible subjects, but I, now, can't wait for Season 3!

Under immense pressure, when it counted most, Andrew Mason maintained his composure, to keep his siblings away from harm. While his parent's were away, Andrew transformed into a hero.

Underdeveloped and underserved by the production as a whole, Dorn, in the TV series Game of Thrones, is the complete opposite of Dorn in the George RR Martin novels. It lacked color, excitement, intrigue and for one of the most progressive nations in the series, respect. Oberon Martel was already one of the most interesting characters in the series and somehow the showrunners decided against a fleshed out kingdom. I don't want to see something similar in Star Wars - HELP!

It's very 'Naruto-esk' for him to look after the academy students and help with graduation, but... We remember the bell test, and how many students Kakashi has enjoyed failing, (Naruto Season 1 Ep 4). Nurturing and raising children is tough, so it's cool to see Boruto taking more jabs at writing good dads.

The individuals holding the highest offices, in these here United States, seem to do crime best. Break laws and attack black people: Quite the example for the parents in this country to follow. Not very American in my book, but very easily duplicated by children here in Virginia. From physically abusing black 'teammates' to poisoning a black roommate with used sanitary products, the vitriol from the presidency is being passed down like a cast iron skillet.

010 - The Black Community vs Ignorance

How does your community respond to ignorance? Not just the, "I didn't know there was a second line that I should be in instead," type of ignorance, but the, "Hey! Over there, you doing something I can't quite see from here. Who are you!? Why are you here!?" with an entitled, 'I demand an answer but I'll leave out why you should care that I'm speaking to you' kind of ignorant. Star Wars is known, by many, for having incredible, classic, Joseph Cambell style story telling. It's great. It's my thing. Star Wars: Rebels, the final season is no exception here and the first four episodes are a treat! I am also about half way through Claudia Gray's "Leia: Princess of Alderaan" and I need to give some first impressions - Too excited for 'adequate' words.
