NO.  Here’s WHY.

“Enthusiasm is a wonderful thing.” I don’t remember the attribution now – I read it years ago, more years ago than I’d care to remember.  And “Yes,” powerful enthusiasm CAN “climb” the proverbial mountains.  But it also can put you in the proverbial ditch.  Anyone remember Norman Thomas?? How about Gus Hall??

The former, Norman Thomas, was a “democratic socialist,” the latter, Gus Hall, the leader of the CPUSA(Communist Party-USA).  Each one ‘ran’ for DECADES for “The Presidency.”  And each one only accomplished ONE THING consistently: LOSE.

Some people VERY WISELY counsel that “The System” DOESN’T MATTER. They take the position that it really doesn’t matter WHERE B.O. was born, b/c The System IS DEAD anyway.  JUST TELL IT ‘GOODBYE.’

There is “only one thing” wrong with that “Pearl of Wisdom”:  The overwhelming majority of people PARTICIPATING IN this political thing euphemistically called The United States (“Play the Music!!”) still “believe in it,” and STILL think “It can be fixed!” in an Election or two.  These people are THE REAL PROBLEM.  They literally constitute the equivalent of a DEAD MASS, blocking & preventing ANY powerful, meaningful GENUINE CHANGE.

I for one think it DOES matter where B.O. (Play the Music!!) was born, IF ONLY TO USE IT AS A PRIME ILLUSTRATION THAT “THE SYSTEM” IS IN-FACT BROKEN.  When fundamental Constitutional precepts & “groundrules” of a nation are flouted & broken, FORGET TRYING TO “FIX THE SYSTEM” – IT’S DEAD – it’s indeed “broken” – FATALLY.  You cannot revive a DEAD body, esp. not one this big, this large, and THIS “DIVERSE” IN SO MANY WAYS.

To put it simply, if Ron Paul runs nationally, start calling him by his real name: Gus.  Or maybe Norman.  Either will do.

Less than HALF “The Country” supports B.O. & Co.  The other “half” or so is anywhere from mildly annoyed, to “Well, I won’t vote for him again,” to REALLY PISSED OFF. The latter group wants to form Militia Rings and “lock & load.” I support them “in my Heart,” but it is, and would be, the most STUPID & FAILED thing to do right now. They would be literally wiped out and then, worst of all, USED to make those that actually run & control this “political thing” LOOK LIKE HEROES by The System – in many ways. Their death would be for WORSE than nothing.

“OK, Smart Guy, wha’ do yoo think they should do??”  Answer:  Work and act within your State.

RON PAUL SHOULD RUN FOR GOVERNER OF TEXAS.  It’s NOT too late.  There is STILL a year to go!!

#1 – He’d have a REAL CHANCE of winning, and NOT build-up a track record of “Loser.”  He’s ALREADY tried for “The Presidency,” AND LOST.  Some of the “Loser Stain” IS ALREADY ON HIM.  And once you rub THAT in, as Normy Boy & Gussy Pig so ably showed, YOU CAN NEVER GET IT OUT.  The old saying has it right: “Go with a Winner! BE a Winner.”

#2 – He could literally “make History.”  And do it strategically well.  He could LEAD TEXAS OUT OF A (BADLY) FAILED POLITICAL ORGANIZATION – “The (NOT AT ALL) uNITED STATES.”  Think of that – TEXAS OUT!!  The map of The World would be instantly changed (and wouldn’t that be ‘Nice’ – B.O. & Co. would be “so HAPPY!”)

Quite literally Paul’d strike a very real blow for GENUINE ‘Freedom,’ i.e. a free Texas & free Texans, forging a ‘model’ for the rest of the u.S. AND THE WORLD, and be truly hailed as a GENUINE HERO – for centuries to come.  “Not a bad resume, that.”  He’d probably be the most hailed & heroic man in 21st century History – & maybe the 22nd as well!

#3 – Think of the ALL IMPORTANT “Coat-Tail Effect”: R. P. would encourage other Mavericks to “Enter the Ring.”  The Parties of literal Evil – the PUTRID “Democrats,” and the literally treasonous Party so falsely called the “Republicans,” b/c they NEVER delivered ON ANYTHING they said they would, and often voted FOR the opposite with the “Democrats.”  These two MUCH TOO OLD Parties ARE BOTH RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LITERAL HELL WE’RE IN NOW – BOTH OF THEM.

We not only literally, but DESPERATELY need “New Blood” in the Political Arena – definitely.  We MUST ‘break-up’ into Regional & Local POLITIES that reflect & coincide with WHAT EACH IS AS “A PEOPLE” – WHOLLY – NOT as any “empowered” Minority, anywhere.  For example, The People of Alabama have little or nothing in common with The People of New York – or California or, really, ANYWHERE IN BETWEEN.  And the People of Texas have little in common with . . . alright, ANYBODY.  We could and should form a Swiss-style confederacy, say “The American Free Republic,” with all or most of the “Old South,” the Rocky Mountain States, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico (b/c of their geographical position, at the very least) and Nevada (does anyone ever think of them?  We should – they’re Americans and count as much as anyone!!).

It IS time for “change.”  But NOTHING the current occupant of the Toilet Seat in stinking Outhouse, D.C. EVER DREAMT UP.

It’s time to Start Over.  It’s time to Begin Again.  It’s time to LEAVE.  And form a New Union OF and FOR a New People.

Especially for those involved IN and with the “bigger structures,” for example those who are “running” the “Global Economy” and its growing political and military components, such people are NOT “just getting together for tea” and making decisions “off the cuff.”  They are “following” something.  What is that “something?”

For of most of humanity’s History, the “followed something” was one kind or another of Religion.  No “deep” definitions here – I take it for granted that the overwhelming majority of people reading this Blog have both some comprehension and some understanding of the meaning of “Religion” in some “Real World” sense.

However, there is something that rivals, or may even supercede “Religion,” and most of those things called “Religion,” or “a Religion.”  What is that “something?  IDEOLOGY.  An excellent “Real World” example would be the (now former) Soviet Union, and the entire corpus of Marxist, Marxist-Leninist, “Communist” thought and associated beliefs (that upon which you are prepared to act – that expressive of orientation to and/or toward something/someone).

“OK, What is “Ideology?”  To answer that question, I offer the following very brief but LOADED article from one of my favorite organizations, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, in Wilmington, DE.  It is as follows:

The term “ideology” is often used simply as a substitute for the word “philosophy” or even “worldview.” Thus, it is often said that conservatism is in need of “an ideology” or a more coherent set of principles on which to base its policy prescriptions. But most intellectual conservatives have a very different view of ideology.

The term “ideology” was first coined by Destutt de Tracy in his Elemens d’ideologie (1800–1815). Tracy was referring to a science of ideas. Yet, when Napoleon publicly ridiculed “ideologists,” he gave the term a pejorative character it retains to this day. Karl Marx linked the term to the notion of class consciousness in dismissing the ideas of the ruling, bourgeois class as nothing but deceptions of the oppressed proletariat. The twentieth-century rise of communism, fascism, and National Socialism to the level of totalitarian regimes motivated conservative thinkers in particular to consider the distinction between ideology and nonideological political philosophy.

Gerhart Niemeyer, following Eric Voegelin, referred to ideology as “the fallacious immanentization of divine salvation.” By this he meant that an ideology is a recipe for bringing heaven down to earth. Modern thinkers, from Rousseau to Hegel to Marx, have rejected Augustine’s understanding that the end of history will be the end of the world, at which time man will face his creator to answer for his actions, and at which time alone he may look for the beatific vision. Instead, ideologists seek to bring history to an end here and now. They construct theoretical systems they believe point to the one true and good human society and then seek great men, movements, or events to bring them to reality, thus ending history in a perfect life lived on earth.

A common criticism of thinkers of the Enlightenment—from Descartes to Rousseau at least—is that they sought to make men into gods. Dispensing with spiritual matters, these thinkers reduced the world to data that can be manipulated by the human mind, thus giving man the impression that he can manipulate reality itself. This mistake regarding the nature of reality led to the belief that man also could save himself from the tragedies of life, be they sickness, war, or the drudgery of work. This is the means by which the utopian vision was born. Utopia is the goal of ideology because ideology is the drive to create a new society, based on the system of the ideologist, that will “save” us, bring us into a heaven that is full of abundance but lacking the tragedies of a real life. Yet one should note that few of the actual human beings involved actually would play the role of gods. Marx’s unalienated man may be free to shift aimlessly from occupation to occupation, but it is Marx, in combination with the god-like men who bring about the revolution, who has made his life possible. Contemporary ideologies, despite their egalitarian rhetoric, also rely on the god-like ideologist to “liberate” each of us from the ties that bind us to our old institutions, our old ways, and even our old beliefs. And, because anyone who fails to fully and enthusiastically work for the great vision is undermining utopia—denying paradise to everyone around him—that person must be dealt with harshly so that everyone will work all the harder to make paradise a reality. It is no wonder then, in the conservative view, that ideological politics, promising heaven on earth, has produced murderous, hellish police states wherever it has gained power.

Conservatives worry that our society has become overrun with ideology. For example, modern education theory, based in the thought of John Dewey, is at root an ideology. It puts teachers, counselors, and other “facilitators” in the role of gods. These “nonjudgmental” leaders will use various techniques to free us from the prejudices that make us too judgmental and cause us to accept the oppressions of inegalitarian social structures (e.g., the traditional family). By freeing us from these attachments and beliefs, educational ideology would cause us to “choose” the life of unencumbered choice in which one lifestyle is as moral as another and in which we all can agree that the state should protect us from oppression and from the consequences of our own actions.

Real philosophy, in the conservative view, maintains its connection with the broad stream of Western philosophical enquiry. That tradition began with Plato’s admission that we are ignorant but should struggle on in the task of measuring what can be measured. Following Aristotle, moreover, it seeks tools appropriate for measuring whatever aspect of reality we currently are examining rather than pretending that we can make reality “fit” the tools we happen to have at hand. Perhaps most crucially, in the conservative view, the Western philosophical tradition recognizes that there is a purpose to nature, to man, and to man’s own creations that lies beyond this world. And this means that our inquiries, as well as our daily conduct, must be carried out with the realization that we will not achieve paradise here on earth, but that we will answer to a power higher than ourselves for the actions we take and the spirit in which we take them.

All this makes philosophy, properly understood, an activity far divorced from the Dreamy systems and murderous policies of Ideology.

Lastly, please note the definition of “Ideology” given at the beginning of the third paragraph:  Basically, in more simple and direct language, ALL Ideologies seek to REPLACE and REMOVE God at the Center of man’s beliefs and “worship” – i.e. that which in Reality absorbs and “guides” (more like “controls”) our consciousness – our “evertday thoughts” and behavior.  It DOESN’T MATTER if you “Go to Church” on Sunday – WHAT and WHO do you spend MOST OF YOUR TIME giving your attention to?  For WHAT?  For WHOM?  THERE and THAT is  “your god!”

The secular Ideologies take your mind off – REPLACES – and then substitutes for – REMOVES – God.  For example, what do most  people today “Believe IN?”  Science, Darwinism, psychology, and ONLY that “Which can be seen, heard, felt or touched, or measured somehow,” as a young about twenty years-of-age forcefully asserted to me 15 or so years ago.  And it seems to me it’s only gotten worse since then.

And during “the week,” WHAT and WHOM do they “serve” (“work for”) and FOR WHAT??  Simple:  “The Boss,”  “the Workplace,”  “the job,” and ALL for . . . a paycheck, a salary, and so on.

The “Take Over” is complete.  And we wonder why things have “gone wrong.”

In its ugly, literally sick & perverse way, this piece shows the fundamental EVIL of Liberalism: “The Foundation” of both human life for each individual & for human society in general is “RIGHTS.”

What once prescribed & proscribed (made regular, “regulated”) human behavior, such as morality, family, custom, culture (one’s church, schools, the neighborhood of living, connected people who were part of each others’ lives, etc.), has now been COMPLETELY REPLACED by “RIGHTS.”

The all-critical factor here is: Establishing in a “reasonable” way that one has “a right” to something, or should have, and the rest is a “piece of cake.”

The key to the “reasonable way” is the same old Demon that haunted Ancient Athens: “Sophistry.” Make something “sound good,” “sound right,” and what “right” do you have to oppose it?  Clever, perverted “argument” is the key that unlocks ALL doors – even takes a jack-hammer to what were once “solid walls.”

Once The Foundation of ALL Humanity & Culture is TRASHED, what basis is there for “opposing Rules?”  Basically The Enlightenment, especially as Descartes, Hume, Kant and their “children,” Darwin, Freud and ESP. Karl Marx, ALL BUT COMPLETELY DEBASED & INVALIDATED THE ABSOLUTELY FUNDAMENTAL, ALL-VALUABLE “TOOL” OF (WESTERN) CIVILIZATION – Faith IN God & Religion.  “Higher Criticism” (Graf – Wellhausen & Co.) then “trashed” Holy Scripture, basically completing the fatal attack on ‘Foundations.’

But who can argue NOW with “It seems like to me that … “, or “That may be ‘true’ for you, BUT NOT FOR ME,”  esp. with The Foundations DESTROYED?

No one.

There are NO “Standards,” ALL you can be “sure of” is “what it seems like TO ME/TO YOU” – BUT THAT IS EQUALLY “VALID” FOR EVERYONE.

So especially IF you can make a “reasonable argument” FOR something, what “right” do you have, CAN you have, for opposing what sounds “reasonable” to and for someone else?  YOU DON’T & YOU CAN’T.

Completely Selfish, Self-Serving ISOLATED “Autonomy” IS “FIRMLY” ESTABLISHED.

That is The Fundamental Power of The Courts – get someone “in Authority” to validate YOUR “argument,” AND YOU NOW HAVE A “RIGHT” TO/FOR SOMETHING.   ANYTHING.

The Key: The Courts have the all-powerful “authority” to say WHAT WORDS MEAN, ESPECIALLY IN ANY ARGUMENT.  If  The Court sides with you, and esp. IF no “Higher Court” invalidates the Lower, YOU’RE IN.

The ALL-NECESSARY “Foundation” for Liberalism is the denial of Reality and the inability to hold & maintain what is True, or should be, except for those “socially recognized” as “BEING IN AUTHORITY.”  In other words, FORCE, AUTHORITY, with all their long-recognized FATAL faults, held in place ONLY by … you guessed it:  AUTHORITY & FORCE.  In other words, VIOLENCE AND THE CAPABILITY OF VIOLENCE.

This will continue until we remember the ultimate foundation of ALL American Politics, AND ENFORCE IT – THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE – US.

Destroying the underlying culture and the Race that founded & developed it can now be seen for what it is: DESTROYING THE UNITY & UNANIMITY OF ‘COMMON CULTURE,’ especially as Common Beliefs and Common Ideas of Right & Wrong.  This undermines, perhaps DESTROYS, the one last effective source of social opposition to Liberalism:  The (no longer) Common Will of The People.  They, & “it,” no longer exist.

What to DO?

As E. Christian Kopff, speaking with & through Julius Evola, writes:

 Although “Washington Blog” only hints at it, it never properly exposits the central, “core” cause of her failure: Capitalism.

 “Oh my God!!  A stinking Marxist in our midst!”  No – NOT AT ALL.  Please allow me to explain.

 All civilizations FAIL when the fluid, dynamic, adapatable “engine” which lay at the heart of their growth & success OSSIFIES, becomes inflexible, non-adaptive and then literally “breaks up.” 

 To be clear: “adaptable” means being able to do away with the old while allowing the new & more productive to take its place over time, without excessive social disruption that is developmentally counter-productive.  Though I am a Southron & ever-so-much wish “with all my Heart” that the South had been triumphant, that last perfectly describes American Capitalism, roughly 1865 to. . . 2000 or so?  At this “distance” in time (we’re still much too “up close”), that might be a good approximtion.

 Literally LEECHING OFF the very healthy, morally & physically STRONG people of “The United States” of 150 – 200 years ago, with an absence of political-economic barriers to firm  & industrial foundation, one didn’t need any kind of “license” or “Royal Permission” to “start a business.”  If you could (economically), for the most part you “just did.”  There were many non-market restrictions & difficluties (resulting in the War of Northern Aggression), but the general rule overall was “If you want to, you can.”

 Many products & Industries were innovated & developed between 1865 and 2000 or so.  Steel, railroads, automobiles, airlplanes, electronics, plastics, communication technologies, etc. just to name a few.  What happened to UNdo this process?  Politics, Economics, Morality, with Religion & “Education” playing the controlling part & influence in all 3.

 In the beginning, generally NO ONE is “big enough” to have a stranglehold on the Markets.  Over time however, some firms & Industries DO become very big, enabling them to have not only tremendous Market Power, BUT ALSO POLITICAL POWER, and controlling social influence as well, via several “avenues.”  Put simply, they become Power Blocks that literally become economically & politically CONTROLLING – AND UTTERLY SELF-SERVING.

 Also in the beginning, ALL Capital NEEDS the moral & physical strength & well-being of the populace in general: sobriety, health & strength to BUILD the Capitalist firms & their products; Moral Restraint, so they do not self-indulge & thus waste time (read labor time), which also promotes disease of many sorts, e.g. venereal disease, heart disease, etc., which also cuts down on labor availability, and so on.

 However, once The Establishment is “in place,” and productive capacity is set-up, Markets opened & regularized, Capital comes to see its former Base AS A PROBLEM: “Morals” BECOME AN IMPEDIMENT TO PRODUCT & MARKET GROWTH AND THUS PROFITS!!  The un-controlled self-indulgence of pleasure & desire comes to be seen as the secret to “opening up Markets,” and establishing ever-burgeoning firms & Industries (Coca-Cola & Sprite: “Satisfy your thirst!”).  Within a few exceptions (e.g. employee theft, “fingers-in-the-till,” etc.), ANY MORAL OR MORAL RESTRAINT COMES TO BE SEEN AS DETRIMENTAL TO PROFITS.  In general, any “desire” must have an object, either as something produced (e.g. Birth Control pills, Condoms, etc.) or as something done or performed (“Service” Industries).  Now here’s “The Problem”: ANY restraining moral reduces profits & profitability, but if you allow or “justify” ONE, then ANY might be similarly “justified” in some way.  Thus: MORALITY MUST GO, Self-Indulgence “Sanctified,” and “If it feels good, DO IT” the ONLY ETHIC.

 But if this were truly generalized, SOCIETY WOULD LITERALLY BE DESTROYED OVERNIGHT.  So, we must CONTINUALLY be fighting “culture wars,” battles over WHAT is “Right & Wrong,” and struggles over “Ethics,” for the simple reason that, though we cannot “justify them,” WE KNOW WE CANNOT EXIST WITHOUT THEM.

 Upshot:  The all-too-necessary ethical & moral foundations of a healthy, productive Society ARE UNDERMINED BY THE “SUCCESS” OF CAPITALISM ITSELF.  Immorality, self-indulgence, dishonesty (ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to Capitalist Enterprise – e.g. Enron & all the others, as well as judicially “justified” Capitalist lying called “sales puffery”) and virtually ALL the “vices” BECOME COMMONPLACE. 

 Also, in the never-ending NEED for Markets and “growth,” to enable & sustain both WE MUST “EXPAND” OVERSEAS.  So in addition to a “STRONG” Central Gov’t AT HOME to “regulate” and provide “stability” for the Markets, WE MUST HAVE A STRONG MILITARY TO DO THE SAME INTERNATIONALLY (and the caveat against the literal dangers of a “Standing Army” COME HOME TO ROOST).  The LUST for Markets & Profits NEVER ENDS.  The Markets MUST GROW & THE MILITARY EVER “STRONGER.”  At some point, Domestic Rot combined with Imperial Overstretch must take their mortal toll.

 And The Empire FALLS.

 I have “painted in broad strokes” here, and there is much, & much more detail, that needs to be “filled-in.”  Since this is a blog, they will have to come later, somewhere else.  I am just trying to provide “the view from 10,000 feet,” to enable a fundamental understanding of “What’s going on here?”  I only pray I have succeeded at least to some extent to expose “the fundamentals.”

“How is it that they and those who are evil can succeed, esp. against those who love and call upon The Name of God?”

 NB:  This is complicated and perhaps somewhat difficult to follow.  Please, read it slowly and take your time with it.

 God will not bless those, who call upon Him, and say they are IN His Name, who choose, will and act, not only CONTRARY to His Will, and against His Will, but actively in destruction of His Will BY DESTROYING BEING – especially the beings created “in His image and likeness.”  He will NOT reward that.  What, then, IS His Will for us? 

John 14:15:

    “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.” 

What does that mean, for those who claim to love The Lord? 

Matthew 22:34-40

    “But when the Pharisees heard that He had put the Sadducees to silence, they gathered themselves together. [35] And one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, [36] “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” [37] And He said to him,

“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ [38] “This is the great and foremost commandment. [39] “The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ [40] “On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”” 

We say that God is “love” and that, as the above quotes from the Bible make clear, we are supposed to “love.”  But what does that mean?  “Love” means: the unselfish, self-sacrificial, self-sacrificing (to actualize it, bring it into the living moment) being for the good of the other, someway, somehow in being with them, to be One with them.  That last b/c you cannot love that and especially those which you do not know.  The critical point for us (with regard to God and human history) is that if God IS “love,” then that means He WANTS, and He Wills, the good of His being, for that and those that He has Created, especially those in His Image.  Why then did The South lose?  We were very religious, very “faithful,” so how and why did we lose?  Did we (esp., in this scenario, The South) truly “love” Him?  Did we “keep His Commandments”?  What were our spiritual inclinations at the time, in 1860-61?  Please consider the following information and, especially in light of the above two Scripture passages, judge for yourself. 

Charles Adams, in his absolutely tremendous work, When In the Course of Human Events – Arguing the Case for Southern Secession, makes it (painfully) clear.  Adams reproduces on page 29 of his book the words of “an Arkansas lawyer, Albert Pike,” who “published a pamphlet on the secession crisis entitled State or Province? Bond or Free?” and that Pike thought “[t]here was no necessity for any irrepressible conflict between the sections.  There was no necessity for hatred, jealousies, and wrong-doing.  We have been unnecessarily set against each other, by fanatical folly and unprincipled ambition in the North, and passion and rashness in the South.  The harm is done.”  And, later on that page, Adams writes:  “This was an age in which war and imperialism were greatly admired, and both the North and the South were ready to settle their differences by war.”   Two pages later, this very sad and tragic observation by Adams:  “War fever was even more intense in the South.”  Lastly, we have the striking Dedication to Adams’ book:  “To the memory of hundreds of thousands of teenage boys and young men whose lives were snuffed out in the Civil War, a war that was caused by societies enamored of war and unwilling to settle their fiscal conflicts by civilized means.” (emph. added in all quotes)  The foregoing seems rather well to show the “spiritual ‘feelings’ at the time.”  However, “love” certainly does NOT include the “feelings” shown here. 

Further, as the work and writings of The League of The South and affiliated groups and writers make very clear, there was little or no genuine Christianity in The North, even quite some time before The War.  The North was “in love with” Transcendentalism (e.g. Ralph Waldo Emerson, etc.) and Unitarian/Universalism was widespread in The North as well (there was one of their “churches” in the little town of Binghamton, NY, where I was born and raised), and the “mainstream Churches” were already embracing some of the “doctrines” that we would today term “Liberal,” without a doubt.  Indeed, if you analyze, dispassionately as possible, the (infamous) “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” you will from that alone get a good idea of the “heart and mind” of The North at the time.  Even so, how did The North win?  To answer that question, we must answer another, first:  What does it mean to “win” in this World?

Those who are outside of Him, who do NOT genuinely call upon Him, who do NOT genuinely seek or care for His Will, may in the very short-run that IS the contingent being that we are here, the “life” that we have here, succeed nonetheless.   “Success” in this temporary, contingent world is achieving and/or accomplishing a goal or goals in this World.  But that is NOT Real “success.”  What then IS Real “success”?

To begin with, realize that not all of those who are outside God in Christ succeed.  Many do not.  The question is, “How can any, who are outside God (in Christ) how is it that they can succeed, at all?”  Please understand that real “Success” IS being – permanent being – permanent, secure being.  Nothing is ultimately “successful” which IS NOT.  If you ARE not, then what, and where, IS YOUR “success”?  Quite literally, IT IS NOT.  But then, what of that and those who are “evil,” who work, act and will against God?  How indeed is it that they, of all people, can be “successful,” even in the “short-run”?

Before we go any further, I must make some metaphysical and ontological observations.  “Metaphysics” is the science that deals with ultimate Reality, with what being is, per se.  What “makes up” being?  What makes up the thing?  Is it spiritual, material, something else?  What?  In order to be (esp. in this Realm, the Natural Order that can be seen, felt, heard, etc.) any “it” must be “made of” something – some stuff   The metaphysical question is, “What stuff?” in terms of “What is that “stuff”?”

“Ontology” is the science that deals with what something is, i.e. the being of a particular thing, or set of things, both in terms of its metaphysics (the “stuff” it’s made of, that enables and gives it its being per se) and “what it is”, i.e. those notes, features, characteristics that make it to be what it is – e.g. “What is a car?”  “What is a human being?” and so forth.  A “car” that is made out of steel & aluminum is metaphysically different from a “car” made out of plastic, which is different from a “car” made out of aluminum & plastic, and so on.  Outside of the metaphysical differences, ALL of those “cars” are ontologically identical.  The notes, features, characteristics that make each of them what they are, are the same.  Each one is “a car,” even though each one is made out of different “stuff,” is metaphysically different.  Please keep ‘metaphysics’ and ‘ontology’ in mind, as we proceed.

Returning to the question of how those who are outside God can be successful, even in the short-run, the answer to that lies in our metaphysical ontology, the Reality of the essence that we are, and what we are.  Again, “the Reality of the essence that we are” deals with our metaphysics, and “the Reality of what we are” deals with our ontology.  The Reality of our being also lies (primarily, of course) in Who and What God IS, especially as the Source of our being.

Metaphysically ontologically, we ARE spiritual-material beings – we ARE “things” in that we essentially are physical, material beings, AND we are (again, essentially) such material beings with a spirit, AND the whole of our being as such, and such as it is, IS CREATED IN THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD.   Please note that when I write “with a spirit,” I do NOT intend either Ancient Greek or its close “cousin” Cartesian Dualism, a being with two parts, one physical, one spiritual. We are integral, one as body and spirit, in order to be human beings.   

Although “the spirit” survives death, the human being does not.  In the Natural Realm, matter without spirit is dead – that is known by all.  However, Spirit without Body can be, in the Spiritual Realm.  You are not a HUMAN BEING there, but the spirit OF a human being, there.  The spirit returns to the Source OF its being, is with The One that literally “made” him.  

Next, though contingent, we are given independent, substantial being AND, by being IN the “image and likeness of God,” we have the reflective and self-reflective personhood OF God, i.e. we can know “things,” choose and act, and in accordance with our will.  When one does not call upon or seek the Will of God, one’s metaphysical ontological being neither changes or is lost.  You still exist, as you are, whether you recognize or know the Will of God, or not.  You are still able to know, choose, will, and act – independently.  Now here’s “the trick.” 

IF some of those He has Created (esp. as Human Beings) are evil, and destroy, then that is the necessary price that must be paid for the being that we are, that He has Created, all of whom exist in accordance with AND in fidelity to the ontological being OF His Creation, as human beings.  He cannot, and Will not (because He cannot violate His own Will) violate our being as it is – as independent, conscious & knowing beings with Divinely-sourced personhood and freedom of choice (having to do with the spiritual aspect of our being) and action (the material, “physical” aspect of our being – the doing of and by material, physical beings in a physical world).  We CANNOT BE “puppets on a string” AND still have our being as God Willed it, and as He Created it, especially with respect to “in His Image and His Likeness.”  We are literally FREE to BE, and DO, in accordance with and as a function of our nature, both physical and spiritual, being the beings God Willed and Created.  In God’s Love, we still are blessed with our being, as He created us.  Given what love is, He Will not destroy us, because of that Love.  Checking The Scriptures, God rarely destroys human beings, and when He does so, it is ALWAYS in limited, circumscribed ways and never “in general” or as a function of a general rule, nor as a function of a commandment in general.  All throughout History, it is nearly always human beings who destroy human beings.

Thus, given our being, i.e. what we are, when we are outside of His Will, the “outcome” of human events is determined by human and Natural forces and events, INDEPENDENTLY.  He still is Good and Loving enough to allow our being, BUT we choose our own destiny, but NOT its ultimate outcome.  We are free to choose and make choices, but are NEVER free to choose the outcomes of those choices, especially in ultimate terms.

God “intervenes” as He Wills.  We cannot determine or choose His Will or intervention – that is His alone.  We are free to will and choose, and the outcome of the choice and/or event, the result, be strictly a function of our “free,” independent choices, as well as the gratuity (or not) of other forces in and of this Natural world (e.g. Elizabeth I and the literally “ill-fated” Spanish Armada).  He can choose to intervene in the choices and events of the Contingent Order (“our” World), but whether He does so or not is His alone.  That is where fidelity to Him, especially in Christ, is critical.

If “you” call upon His Name (i.e. Jesus Christ), and claim to be “in Him,” then you must be in fidelity to Him, with Him.  Our people in 1860 – 1865 were NOT in fidelity to or with Him, and that is the main and most important “reason” why we lost The War.  That is also the predicate for why there were so many “Revivals” in our forces during The War.  Spiritually, we knew we were “outside Him,” and were spiritually moved to call upon Him in Christ. 

 You may lose the grace of His Blessing in this Order, i.e. this World, but those who are His are never ultimately lost.  He will always call you back, and ultimately take you to Himself, regardless of whether He intervenes here or not, especially in terms of human history.   In the “meantime” of this contingent existence, the choice is, as the saying goes, “up to us.”  Outside of Him, the outcome here is a function of human and Natural forces and events.   If Our Father intervenes, it is wholly His Will alone to do so.  For those who are outside Him, by deliberate will (as evidenced plainly by The North, with its increasingly “Liberal” theology, as noted above) or by spiritually indeliberate foolish error (as, I believe, The South committed), ALL of those who do so are “on their own.”  I would like to say, though, that The South did not willfully and knowingly disobey The Lord spiritually – had they stopped “for a moment” and realized what they were doing, I believe they would have stopped what they were doing and “changed course.”  Admittedly, however, that can only be speculation, now.

The point of the foregoing is this:  Being on an “even-footing” spiritually (both were outside God’s Will, each in their own way) with The North, that necessarily put us on a human and Natural footing – but not evenly with The North.  The first year-and-a-half or two, we soundly trounced The North.  But then, and by then, they had gotten both their war-materiel production capability “online,” and had put-down the widespread opposition to the War in The North, by simple means of government-sponsored murder, violence and oppression.  The Northern “ducks” were “in order.”  The rest, as they say, is history.

Theologically, BOTH sides were evenly placed IN the General Grace of the Lord, as well as Spiritually.  Practically, the Reality of human free-will and the Natural processes and forces of this World were “in control.”  Simply put, if “you” had more and better “guns,” and more-or-less equally able human leadership (not to mention superior numbers), then the outcome is about like what happens when you turn on your windshield wipers – the “opposition” is literally “swept away.”  And so it was for our beloved South.

Let’s say you were offered something that you truly, freely wanted, of your self.  It’s something you want, regardless of the source – whether it’s coming from a Dictator/Tyrant or from a source freely chosen on your own, you want it, say a very good, high-paying job, one that you’ve always wanted.  Naturally, whether it’s coming under the ‘auspicies’ of a Tyrant or not, you willingly say ‘Yes’ to the job.  Whether you are being forced into it or not, you freely say ‘Yes’ to it regardless.  Either way, you freely say ‘Yes.’

But what about something you DON’T want – say being a part of the literally NaZi-sourced scam euphemistically called “Social Security?”  The simple fact is that you have to be a part of this scam, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.   You have NO freedom of choice in the matter, with only one or two exceptions (one of them being a ‘pastor’ BUT  you have a very limited time to choose to say ‘No!’ to The System, and if you wait even ONE DAY too long, too bad – you CAN’T get out of it no matter how much you might want to).

The foregoing illustrates, I hope, why the word ‘No’ IS the key, “The Word,” that means FREEDOM.  Saying ‘Yes’ to something you want anyway is NOT a sign of freedom – you’d do it anyway.  But saying ‘No’ IS EVERYTHING – BEING FORCED TO ‘MAKE A CHOICE’ – SUCH AS “SOCIAL SECURITY’ – IS THE ESSENCE OF TYRANNY – YOU HAVE TO DO IT, LIKE IT OR NOT.

ALL TYRANNY IS THE FORCED ‘YES’ – think about it for a moment.  You must ultimately give your assent – even if only grudgingly – to the forced choice, even if it is a ‘negative’ (something you can’t do, are not allowed, such as owning a gun) – you  must “give in,” you must say ‘Yes,’ even if only tacitly, to the coerced choice someone else forcibly makes for you.

So here’s the bottom line:  If you can’t say ‘No’ you ARE a SLAVE.  Even if it’s only one thing, YOU ARE A SLAVE.  Because if some power, some force, has the power, has the force to force you, it can do it to any and all it wants – EXACTLY AS WE ARE SEEING UNDER OBAMA – and Bush, and Clinton, and Old Man Bush, and Reagan, and … This is a System of forcibly coerced EVIL and SLAVERY, no matter “how much” freedom “they give you” – because it ALL is ONLY what THEY allow.

AND YES – there is a Way.  The answer is NOT ‘Capitalism’ OR ‘Socialism,’  the literally false-dilemma of the TOTALITARIAN CAPITALISTS and the TOTALITARIAN MARXISTS/SOCIALISTS – both of whom advocate and run a System CONTROLLED BY Dominant Elites wherein YOU are both dependent AND a slave. 

Don’t think Capitalist/Socialist “employees” are slaves??  Tell me, what do you call someone who: Does what they’re told to do, i.e. “what they were hired for” (“AND OTHER JOBS AS ASSIGNED”); Does it the way someone else tells them to do it or wants it done, and in a way that will allow them to keep “their” job, AND NOT OTHERWISE; Goes WHERE they are told to go, WHEN they are told to go there, for as LONG as they are TOLD to be there, and cannot leave without pre-arranged PERMISSION (e.g. ‘lunch,’ ‘restroom,’ ‘sick leave,’ ‘vacation,’ etc.).  WHAT do you call such a person??  Today, we typically call them “employees,” but a moment’s pause and reflection will tell you: THEY ARE NO DIFFERENT FROM SLAVES.

In BOTH Systems (i.e. Capitalism or Socialism) YOU “work for” someone else who is “in authority,” first to hire you, and then to decide, on a day-to-day basis, EVERY DAY, whether or not YOU are able to keep “your” job/position/place/post/etc.  The moment you lose that “support’ on the part of those “in authority” . . .

Here is the Main Thing: In both Capitalism and Socialism, YOU own nothing; someone else owns and/or controls The Means of Making a Living, AND ACCESS TO IT – NOT YOU.  YOU ARE COMPLETELY DEPENDENT IN BOTH SYSTEMS.

There is Another Way.  It is the Way of Family ownership of the means to make a living, on FREELY OWNED property, in a truly FREE MARKET wherein the “Big Boys” and the “Big Boxes” – and THEIR literally “hired thug,” i.e. Big Government – don’t do everything they can to destroy you, to “run you out of business,” to bring you under THEIR  control for THEIR purposes.  Think here especially of WAL-MART and what they have done to other businesses – forcing them to shutdown and/or relocate, usually OVERSEAS; dictating terms-of-business to them, controlling their market access  AND IN THE PROCESS CONTROLLING THEIR PROFIT.   THIS IS NOT “THE FREE MARKET” – THIS IS FASCIST TOTALITARIANISM.

The purpose of an “economy” is NOT to allow or enable a few to become powerful, wealthy and DOMINANT.  The purpose of an economy is to enable people – human beings – to MAKE a comfortable, secure living, in peace and without fear – economic or physical – and to do so FREELY,  in the absence of COERCION, especially from (what is supposed to be) one’s OWN GOVERNMENT, and other businesses.

The Way is already known – it is called: confederal distributism.  I shall elaborate further on this in later posts.

“Is God, or is God NOT?” 

As soon as we begin to ask questions such as: “WHAT am I?”  “WHERE do I come from??”  “WHAT is ‘here’ and WHAT does it mean?” “WHY am I here?”  “WHAT is the meaning of my being, my life?”  and more than a few other, perhaps similar, questions we inevitably must wrestle with, we inevitably find we MUST ask :  “Is God, or is God NOT??”

The answer to that question informs and determines, or at least profoundly influences, ALL others – be they any sort of questions, issues, positions, approaches and answers – EVERYTHING is affected or even effected by our answer to that first,  pre-eminent question. 

I believe it is important to note that there are only two possible answers to that question, not three as virtually all people seem to believe – it is not “Yes”, “No”, “Maybe” – not Theist, Atheist, Agnostic.  As Jesus Christ said Himself, “Either you are for me, or against Me.”  That makes it pretty clear. 

This issue has all to do with OUR – i.e. human – orientation to being, esp. as regards the source of being.  When we do not see and seek God as the source of our being, then where, to what, do we turn?  And with what consequences?  If we deny God as the source of our being, what do we look to?  At present, the answer is usually Naturalism (the physical universe is all there is, ever was, ever shall be – cf., e.g., Carl Sagan) combined with Darwinian Evolution.  All that is, esp. living things, developed from radically ‘primitive forms’ that slowly evolved, with BOTH the origin AND the development/evolution of all that exists – both non-living and living – happening COMPLETELY BY CHANCE.  According to Atheism/Naturalism, the Universe itself literally ‘Just happened by chance’.  It is the ‘chance’ aspect in either case that Intelligent Design so beautifully demolishes, by the way. 

“OK – so get to the point!”  In a nutshell, “A rat is a pig is a dog is a boy.”  That remark was made by a female radical Darwinist (Ingrid Newkirk, President, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, as quoted from Vogue magazine, September, 1989)¹.  WHAT IS THE VALUE OF HUMAN (ANY HUMAN) LIFE IN HER EYES??  Literally the same as that of a RAT.  The point is that human life and HUMANITY ITSELF are fundamentally DE-valued in such eyes.²  Want to make an earthly utopia?  A ‘real world’ utopia?  Since there is no God, WE must do it, if it is going to be done.  And virtually ALL of us believe the world is a ‘mess’ and badly needs ‘salvation’ – war, murder, rape, genocide, poverty, starvation, disease, tyranny and oppression – you name it – probably most realize the world is indeed a ‘mess’ that needs help.  When you are an Atheist Materialist/Naturalist, or even a Deist³, WHERE DO YOU TURN??  There’s only one option – ‘Man.’  It’s just a matter of ‘the right policy mix,’ the right political-economic System (e.g. Marx, present-day Globalists, Libertarians and ‘free market’ Capitalism, etc.), the CORRECT ‘reform’ of culture and society (all problems are due to society and social ills, etc.).  

But WHO determines the ‘right’ policy mix, ‘reform’ of culture and society, political-economic System, etc., etc.??  WE DO – the self-same flawed individuals who constitute the flawed System, culture and society, and so forth.  And HOW do we do it??  Democratically⁴, of course!!  And when it is done ‘democratically,’ as both Tocqueville and human history make plain, any one or any group that “stands in the way” deserves – and usually receives – ELIMINATION, such as the EIGHT MILLION Georgians Stalin (himself a Georgian – HIS OWN PEOPLE!!) starved to death in ’37-’38, or the SIX MILLION Jews in Hitler’s Germany, or the several millions in Pol-Pots’ ATHEIST communist Cambodia (read ‘The Killing Fields’), or the untolled millions (no one knows for sure the exact number, but it’s thought to be approx. 60 MILLION) killed/murdered in Mao Tse-tung’s ATHEIST communist China, and the … the list goes on and on – especially the 50 MILLION CHILDREN  sacrificially MURDERED RIGHT HERE, again determined by Liberal democratic ‘fairness, equality and freedom’!!!  And I’m sorry, but I must hasten to point out that in ALL those cases, the dominant philosophy was Atheistic, Materialist, Darwinist – including the morally heinous Roe v. Wade “decision.” 

HERE’S THE DIFFERENCE: instead of seeing other human beings as divinely created beings of inestimable worth, and (desperately) in need of love and genuine generous help, and so also FORGIVENESS and patient understanding, the history of the 20th century demonstrates CLEARLY the meaning of “a rat is a pig is a dog is a boy” – esp. when and if any one or group stands in the way of your MAN-MADE (pseudo) ‘heaven.’  And that’s not “just opinion” as to what happened – that is literally historical fact. 

God doesn’t need OUR worship – WE NEED worship of Him.

4) By “democratically” as I use it here, I mean the useless, meaningless sort of Nazi-Marxist en masse plebiscites as used by Hitler and Stalin to “justify” their policies and practices.  We have exactly the same sort of ‘democracy’ in this Nazion (O.K. – don’t get angry – that just happens to be the German spelling of “nation.”  However, one can’t help but note the very obvious    ‘double entendre.’)  The masses vote, and regardless of which side wins, the same totalitarian laws, policies and positions seem to get into effect (remember Georgie the Younger’s claptrap and sincere promises for a ‘smaller government’?  He then master-minded the most vast and drastic expansion of Central Gov’t. power since Fascist Dictator Roosevelt, perhaps even larger).  ‘The People’ vote en masse like Mass Automatons – without fail, roughly half vote Democrat,’ the other half ‘Republican.’  They don’t even know the names of those for whom they vote, let alone what they truly think and believe, even on the ‘hot-button’ issues.  Then, regardless of the polling outcome, the law as it actually is, as it really is, is then “interpreted” by the oligarchial totalitarian courts.  Laws, referendum propositions, anything and everything is subject to “judicial review.”  And “the will of the People” is literally thrown out by dictatorial Judicial Fiat, not only assaulting, not only undermining, but literally destroying rule by the will of the People – the first and absolute bedrock of our supposedly “free society.”  IT NO LONGER EXISTS.  This System IS a mockery and a travesty.

For example, in 1996, after the “election”, I saw on the back of a VW Bug a very nice, courteous and thoughtful bumpersticker that said: “Clinton WON. Get over it.”  I shall, as I consider myself a reasonably civilized man, refrain from comment on this hateful, uncivil public statement.  We no longer simply disagsree when Democrats or Republicans “win” (another euphemism, but more on that in another, forthcoming post), but indeed engage in cruel, all-too-often crude, rancorous statements and remarks, especially toward, and for, the “other side.”

Why?

The answer simple, but to consider all the details of it would be quite complex.  I shall therefore constrain myself to two topics that, I believe, would contain or comprehend most, if not all, of the aforesaid details if given a more thorough analysis.

1) We now have an all-powerful, quite literally TOTALITARIAN (whichever ‘side’ wins) government, that wields tremendous, life-changing, life-affecting power – one way or the other.  A very great deal is personally at stake for each one of us, Liberal or Conservative, Republican, Democrat or Independent.  Friction (the ‘nice term’ for very real anger and hate) and Heat (increasingly, acts of violence are committed in and around ‘election time’) inevitably occur.  And it seems to be getting worse.

2) Secondly, we are deeply divided over virtually everything – everything is politicized.  Thus, the above-mentioned Friction and Heat are automatically generated.  Start the election cycle, and turn on the Heat!  Think about it: “animal rights,” homosexuality, gun-control/gun rights, abortion/feticide, “global warming” and environmental issues generally, “hate speech”/freedom of thought and expression – even the choice of which books to use in grade school – freedom of religion and the right of religious people to speak and express their views without fear of government reprisal (taxes!) – and, one that perhaps is not  publicly considered or discussed enough, “judicial activism.”  The last strikes quite literally to, AND AT, the very nature of the polity – what it is and who we are as a polity – but perhaps more on this later, as well.  And, one more – and it quite literally is a ‘Big One’, both emotionally and politically – GLOBALISM.  The point is simply this: WE ARE A DEEPLY DIVIDED NATION-STATE.

Perhaps some of you noticed that I DID NOT say “a deeply divided PEOPLE.”  The simple fact of the matter is that WE ARE NOT “A PEOPLE.”  Not by any stretch.  Also please note that we are divided, very deeply divided, on that matter as well!   The sources that unite “a people” NO LONGER EXIST AS UNIFYING PRINCIPLES IN THIS THING CALLED “THE UNITED STATES.”

Fundamental issues such as Orientation to Being, i.e. God and belief in God, which belief in God, W/who and W/what G/god IS, or is not, etc.; Languages; Morality and ethical systems (absolutism in right and wrong vs. relativism/ NO definite “right or wrong” – cf. Oprah Winfrey) and, yes, Race and “Ethnicity,” all these and more are no longer had, held or believed in, in common betwixt and amongst us.  Please note that I say this with deep regret and no little despair.  The bonds that at one time truly made us the proverbial “e pluribus unum” – out of many, one – SIMPLY NO LONGER EXIST.  RADICAL DIFFERNCES  over what ‘America’ IS and is all about are more than amply demonstrated with the current “national administration” – indeed, the Heat is building.

To FORCE others to live things, practice things and do things they not only don’t believe in and don’t want to do, and may even viscerally disagree with and hate, is an act of CRUELTY.  To MAKE them ‘accept’ things they not only don’t want, and/or find viscerally repugnant and hateful in and of themselves, is an act of CRUELTY.  So THE question IS, “Why are we doing this?”  More particularly, “Why are we doing this to ourselves?  And to each other?”

I am not asking the above question/questions from an analytical standpoint (which I will address in another blog), but rather from a rhetorical/polemical one: Whatever the “reasons” that explain why we are so committed to continuing what is plainly a genuinely SICK System, WHAT should we (i.e. ALL of us, Left and Right included) DO about it??

Frankly, the answer is extraordinarily simple, but simply unthinkable to the minds of most, so please – prepare yourself: The answer is: secession and re-formation of the States.

Yes, that’s right: Peaceable, peaceful separation into truly free, truly independent separate political entities.  Again frankly, THIS IS THE TRULY PEACEFUL AND LOVING SOLUTION TO VIRTUALLY ALL OF THE PROBLEMS THE PEOPLES OF THE (NO LONGER)UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FACE. 

 No more hate-filled, anger-filled ‘elections’ that result in only a more deeply divided, anxious, frightened and discontent people, who “can’t wait” for the “next election,” especially if only “to get even with” the “dirty scum” that “won” last time.  No more FORCING people to accept things, believe things, submit to things – and to people and powers – they again not only don’t want, but find repugnant and hateful.  ANY such POLITICAL “forcing” is an act of CRUELTY.  It’s not only disgusting, it’s UGLY.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to live in an UGLY world.  LIFE IS NOT ABOUT THAT – AND SHOULD BE, AND COULD BE, SO MUCH MORE – FOR ALL OF US – “LIBERAL” AND “CONSERVATIVE” ALIKE.  I may not agree with someone “on the other side,” I may hate what they believe, BUT I DON’T HATE THEM, I DON’T WANT TO HURT THEM, AND I DON’T WISH TO FORCE THEM TO THINK AND BELIEVE AS I DO (Talk about REAL intolerance!! That is EXACTLY what The Left not only seeks to do, BUT DOES.)  In fact, I genuinely hope that they will have a joyful, peaceful and truly happy life, just as I so hope for myself and those who think and feel as I do.  But I can’t live in or with, for very long, a polity in which and at which I am deeply, fundamentally AT ODDS.  NOR CAN YOU OR ANYONE ELSE.

The Answer is internatioally refereed, truly fair and unbiased polls to determine HOW the people freely wish to orient and associate themselves.

I just mentioned “unbiased polls.”  By that I am referring to polling outcomes that are NOT distorted by, perhaps even determined by those with money, power and “influence,” esp. as ownership and control of the means to affect and maybe even determine what people think, feel and believe, esp. at the time of and around voting.  Only a vote that is NOT manipulated, that DOESN’T have “strings pulled,” is the kind that we can genuinely trust and have faith in FOR THE PURPOSES OF DETERMINING OUR DESTINY AND HOW WE WANT TO LIVE.

The problem to this is not only “special interest groups” and “political action committees,” but the secretive, unseen organizations of the economically, politically and militarily powerful, such as The Bilderburgs and (perhaps at the other end of the political spectrum) ACORN, and many others.

There is much to be done.  DO WE CARE?  WILL WE ACT?
