It is well known that associations, and for this case societies, have a tight budget and limited staff, so looking from the planning and implementation point of view, staying within the approved budget and timeline, developing a successful CMS solution first time is vital.

This is where SharePoint comes in. Besides the obvious plethora of useful features SharePoint provides, the special pricing structure for Charitable Organizations (501(c)(3)) makes SharePoint very attractive. Most of associations or societies fall under Charitable Organizations licensing option.

Even though Microsoft doesn’t make it easy to get the reduced license price the effort is well worth it.
