webOS Radio is back after a few weeks off and we have a plethora of news and events to discuss. HP Exec and CEO Leo Apotheker has been heavily criticized for a significant time, especially since the August 18th announcement of the end/spin off of PSG and the ending of webOS hardware for the foreseeable future. While we now know that Leo has been replaced David, Jesse and Gary speculate on whether HP would pull the plug on the "Leo Experiment", who could, would and should replace him if he were removed and what some of the directional changes should be.

It wasn't "All Leo, all the time" though as the guys talk about some changes to the way you access WebOS Internals' Alpha and Beta feeds, a longtime favorite pod catching app has been revived and brought to the TouchPad and even more. Oh, and David makes an exciting announcement regarding the future of webOSRoundup.com and our little group of crazy but passionate community members. Make sure to check it out!

webOS Radio Special Edition – Fallout of HP’s Conference Call

With today’s conference call to discuss Q3 results and Q4 planning HP dropped quite a number of bombshells. Leo Apotheker announced there would be a major shift and change within HP including the potential spinning off of the PSG (Personal Systems Group), HP will be focusing on the enterprise channel and HP will no-longer be manufacturing webOS hardware.

This last part has absolutely shaken the webOS community to the core and David, Rich and Gary sit down for an extended special edition of webOS Radio. The news was so huge that Dan Ramirez even made a return in the second half of the podcast to voice his views and opinions.

While there may be some dark undertones and uncertainty in the coming months we will be here for you to share all the webOS news and info that we can for the foreseeable future. So sit back, have a cup of coffee and listen to our take on the conference call. [affectionately referred to as HP's Fail Whale -ED]

There's been quite a bit of news going on this week and the guys were in rare form yet again. It didn't help that theinfamous (meaning more than famous) Zhephree, aka Geoff Gauchet, joined the normal cast of characters to provide a fun and informative episode. We tried to get Geoff to spill his secret recipe for cajun gumbo but all he provided was some great insight behind the developer scenes. Seriously, Geoff's appearance on the show this week stemmed from a comment he made on one of our previous episodes and we were thrilled when he accepted our invitation to be our guest this week. It was great to have Geoff on the show as he gave us some great info on apps, app development, developer relations and a whole lot more. We even got him to spill the beans on some incredible details. No, really, details on his upcoming app called Incredible! Our own Levi Pelikan makes his first appearance on the show after a few weeks of technical gremlins and breaks some news on a new podcatcher app that will be coming to the TouchPad soon. So, we spent a good portion of the night beating Clifton with the ol' wet noodle for his horrible pirate impressions. Also, Ryan returns to his regular angry self and Roy surprisingly has more than one paid app!
