Lindas American Girl Timeline

Hello! Here's my AG Craft project on how to make an American Girl History Time Line.

-There are AG historical doll stickers at Archiver's and Michael's Craft stores. They come in a packet of 2 pages for each doll, about 5 doll stickers per page. Current price $5. They do not include the two 2011 dolls.

-Then, I took a 52 X 14 inch piece of paper and used a ruler to draw a line down the center. I marked off 50 year segments and noted each 10 year period with the date. Two inches equals 10 years. I started with Kaya in 1760. Then my granddaughters and I put the stickers of the dolls in the right years above the line.

-I had printed up miniature photos of family members and we added their photos below the line, along with their names, birthdate and in most cases, when they came to America. I also had baby pictures of my children and the grandchildren and we added them at the right years. Then came a photo glued in the 1970's of the granddaughter with her Julie doll. We added my doll from the 1950's along with photos of myself and my husband in his cowboy outfit. Lastly, we added Harriet Tubman on whom my granddaughter had just done a biography report.

I love this idea, and how it's an American Girl timeline and family tree in one! And, it looks like a lot fun! Thank you so much for sharing this craft with us Linda! :)
