About Fashion Week:

Many cities have a Fashion Week but New York, Milan, Paris and London are the main ones. New York is the oldest and known for sportswear and the more relaxed but trendy looks, Milan for fancy and stylish looks, Paris for haute couture and London the newest of the four is known for edgy but artsy designs.

There are two big shows each year, Spring/Summer starts in February and Fall in September. Collections are shown in advance the previous year and each show holds many events with each runway event lasting from 15 to 20 minutes.

Fashion Weeks are known as the time and places where designers display their new clothes but it's also when new trends start. Originally these were industry only trade events for buyers to meet manufacturers but since changed. Some shows have become quite prestigious and glamorous and receive a lot of media attention. Today Fashion Weeks are a part of our main stream and entertainment channels.

Rag and Bone Spring 2013 RTW

Colors mostly black and white, pales and few brights that mixed well. The jackets and shirts look oversized and a little boyish but we loved the layering style and the shorter skirts are really cute.

Proenza Schouler Sprint 2013 RTW

Both Ana and myself think Proenza Schouler are phenomenal fashion designers. To see what we mean watch the live runway show, the dresses and skirts are leather but move like fabric. Fabulous.

Rodarte Spring 2013 RTW

They're one of Ana's favorite designers, also lots of leather and jewelry as part of the dresses. Tough but gentle, very much futuristic and  totally gorgeous.

Thakoon Spring 2013 RTW

Birds, flowers and trees with a japoneese feel but western styled. The peplum dresses and lace skirts are our favorites. Sophisticated and feminine.

Vera Wang Spring 2013 RTW

OMG her bridal gowns are so pretty, me and Ana must've looked through a hundred dresses deciding what style we'll wear on our big day. Not that we have plans lol, but just in case and this collection isn't about bridal and omg Vera read our minds romantic dresses for everyday wear. Last year when we first saw the quick peek we both immediately fell in love with the collection.

Marchesa Spring 2013 RTW

Delicate, feminine and very beautiful gowns but also gave us this feeling like we're going to a belly dancing wedding.

Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 RTW

Lots of stripes in many directions, dresses and tops with high necks and long skirts and long coats. If we saw these dresses and not told who designed them we would instantly guess Marc Jacobs.  Amazing.

Michael Kors Spring 2013 RTW

Also lots of stripes. Dresses a little 60's, many colors and pretty.  Tops and pants in casual looks definitely something we would wear to school.

Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013 RTW

Gorgeous, lots of lace on everything and a fun collection. I would love love to wear any of these dresses.

Ralph Lauren Spring 2013 RTW

Ruffles, embroideries, fringe, lace and a latin touch. Sportswear never looked so good.

DKNY SS213 RTW

Super cute mini dresses and we love anything DKNY, some of these are already in my closet.

Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2013 RTW

The eyewear on the models are google fashion glasses she used to record the show and the clothes omg so many colors. DVF is amazing .

Donna Karan Spring 2013 RTW

She's one of America's best known and most famous designers and we adore her skirts and dresses pretty, light and feminine.

Jason Wu Spring 2013 RTW

Innerwear as outerwear, lots, sexy, gave us a lingerie like feel and the evening dresses looked fabulous.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 RTW

Many shapes, colors and style mixes. 60's, preppy, grunge, rock and and omg turbans for headwear. We love Marc by Marc dresses, adorable and girly.

3.1 Phillip Lim SS2013 RTW

We love the plaid and florals, the dresses gave a vintagy feel but modern and relaxed. Beautiful mix.

BCBG Max Azria Spring 2013RTW

Amazing combination of leather and lace, the evening dresses look stunning. 

Calvin Klein SS2013

Lots of black and white, we love the slim shape looks and the bra tops dresses.

Derek Lam Spring 2013 RTW

Some of the prints gave a fall feeling but the entire collection beautiful, sporty and girly.

Carolina Herrera SS2013 RTW

The long skirts look amazing, the dresses sophisticated but so so cute.

Many, many inquiries asked if we stopped following Fashion Week 2013 and we didn't! Actually this is so funny you guys asked because last year me and Ana hanged out a lot and in our free time from school is all we did. We had plans to share our favorite designs but some things happened and had to cancel.

So now and especially after all the inquiries I'm really looking forward to bringing these up to date as well as a few reviews we wrote for sponsors. Ana knows about the things on hold and to be sure the last time we spoke I mentioned them to her. She asked me to include a note that she will update sponsors soon, in the meantime if there's any concerns please message her private inbox.

The plans I made originally for the public sections were to start by posting the complete Fashion Week 2013 Articles we had. I told Carla my intentions and she  suggested for me to make compilations, so during the next few days I will be publishing a series titled The many looks of Fashion Week 2013. If possible the complete editions will also post to our main forums which include a comments section.

When I went at the beginning of the season Target had a lot of cute stuff.

Lighting

Really cute lamp that also plays songs.

I picked neutral colors for things I needed or to decorate my dorm room, some cute stuff included is also useful. The bed and windows I wanted the same colors, they are the most noticed when my friends come to my room and I used pink because everyone likes it. There's more cute dorm room stuff I wanted to show but so each post doesn't get very long I will add them later as a part 2 of this article.

This is how I understood things work from the last meeting we had with Ana. Anyone can submit to our public sections but articles from members with levels lower than Editor will be forwarded to Danielle's Inbox. It will be up to her to decide what sections they will be published to. Carla can also see articles on hold, if you submitted something and it's not showing please let one of us know ASAP.

Last couple days I spent some time with Ana, we hanged out at the beach and did other fun stuff. She also tried showing me things she made with pph and java to manage the site but most I don't understand yet and think will be a while before I do. I asked the admins for help today and was told they only manage our vnps and to ask Ana or Carla so.. I probably will be asking a few questions like how do I change the song. Hopefully I won't bug you guys very much. <3

I'm on spring break vacation but didn't go away anywhere and been hanging out at the beach a lot, going out with my friends and doing things in my room to keep myself busy. Still a little bored but hopefully soon I'll find more things to do.
