On a recent trip to Lake Greeson near Kirby, three friends and I caught crappie after crappie after crappie. All the 50 fish we boated weighed more than a pound, and about a third weighed between 2 and 3 pounds. That’s a nice mess of crappie.

Jacobs bought a small bass fishing tournament circuit trail that was based out of Gilbertsville, Kentucky. Shortly afterwards, he renamed it FLW Outdoors. Of course FLW stands for Forrest L. Wood, the owner of Ranger Boats. Ranger Boats located in Flippin, Arkansas, would become one of the major players in the transformation of tournament bass fishing; in addition to how bass boats looked, performed, and cash incentives for owning the right boat.

The anticipation for turkey season usually starts with the first warm days in February for the gobbler addicts. These warm days inevitably lead to thoughts of April, which leads to thoughts the turkey hunting supplies stowed away since last spring. Everything may have worked great last year, but it’s a good idea to give all of your equipment a look-over before season. Boots need new laces, britches need new patches, and that’s just the start.

Beaver Lake has over 480 miles of shoreline at the top of power pool covering over 28,000 acres. It is renowned for its crystal clear water and tall magnificent bluffs adjacent to the shoreline.
