Fershop | Dublin Photography Workshop by Fer Juaristi

I know Fer Juaristi for about 6 years or so and have followed his growth in photography ever since. His personality and fresh approach reflects in an amazing work he creates.
When finally his arrival in Dublin, Ireland become possible I knew I need to be there. Thankfully I was able to attend “Fershop” and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every minute of it.
Starting from meeting Fer finally in person and other awesome attendants/photographers the day was filled with a good amount of new, useful informations, lots of q&a, shooting time and individual attention to each person present.

What did I get out of the workshop besides great time and new friends?
Honesty and real kick in the butt.

Brook Lane Hotel Wedding | Mary and Kevin

Mary and Kevin have been fantastic to work with and what an amazing and full of attractions wedding it was…

They could not have chosen a better location for their intimate ceremony than Gougane Barra Church in County Cork, which surroundings take my breath away each time I go back there.
After touching and loving ceremony the married couple invited their guests for a surprise Kenmare Bay Cruise Trip. This was enjoyed by all guests very much. Especially by Mary who had a chance to show everyone her skills in being the captain. With the sun on her cheeks she lead everyone safely to the bay… ;)
After quite exciting afternoon the wedding couple with their family and friends arrived at the Kenmare’s Brook Lane Hotel where they were warmly welcomed by Una and Pat who made sure that the evening reception was a celebration filled with amazing atmosphere, food and great music.

Cahernane House Hotel Wedding | Alma and Tony

Happy New Year 2014 | New Family Member

Happy New Year to you all!

What a year it was… lets hope a new one will only get better! Especially the weather wise.

As some of you might know – Ireland is currently under orange weather alert due to the heavy storms. Many people lost electricity, their houses, some get flooded.
I pray that all your families and friends are safe and the weather will improve shortly.

My little girls are growing fast and just few weeks before Christmas we have decided to get ourselves an early, long awaited present. Please welcome our newest family addition – Freya!

She is our dream Miniature Schnauzer that we were looking to get for quite some time now! She eats all, bites all, makes her business everywhere but follows your every step, sleeps with us in bed (yet my fault – I spoiled her already…) and brings us so much joy each day.

This photo taken by my almost 7 year old Maya only shows how difficult my life has become… ;)

Elopement in Kerry | Diane and Eddie

We all agreed with a ceremony official and wedding planner – Annie Byrne that their love was just shining through them.

Kerry Newborn Photography | Pádraig

I had a great opportunity to photograph Róisín and Mícheál’s beautiful little baby boy - Pádraig in Kerry. You may remember Róisín and Mícheál from their engagement session and a wedding few years back.

It was amazing to watch how gentle, caring and warm parents Róisín and Mícheál are. They let me to observe and photograph them during typical every day routine such as breast feeding, bathing and having some fun time with parents. Pádraig was an absolute dream baby to photograph – very calm and patient.

Thanks so much for having me photograph your little Páidí - he is so lucky to have been born into such loving family!

ISPWP Award Winning Image | Venue or Location

I was really humbled to see the results of the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers – ISPWP Winter 2012 Contest. One of my images of wonderful couple Emily and Juergen taken at fabulous Bantry House in Co. Cork was placed in the top 20 in the Venue or Location category. This is the image:

Not heard of the ISPWP? The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers is a rarity among wedding photography organisations. Photographers cannot simply buy an ISPWP membership, they have to earn it.

Their requirements are experience, talent, and professionalism and to be accepted, a photographer must have shot at least 50 weddings, submit their portfolio for review, agree to operate under the ISPWP Code of Conduct, and have an ISPWP Sponsor or four references. Then they have to be voted in by current members.

In short, when you hire an ISPWP Wedding Photographer, you are hiring a talented veteran with a track record, peer recognition, and a passion for creating heirloom images of your wedding.
