How To Remove/Delete Applications in iPad

Last night while searching for a nice browser for an iPad, I installed Opera browser in it. While Opera is one of the finest browser, but mistakenly I installed Opera for iPhone app. Due to small resolution, I was unable to do browsing clearly therefore I decided to uninstall the app from the iPad. Here’s how I did that:

1. Tap your finger on the application icon, hold it until all the icons of the iPad starts to shake or wiggle.

2. Tap the cross “X” in the upper left on the icon of the application you want to remove.

3. Tap the “Delete” button.

4. You can rate the app by giving it stars. If you don’t want to rate the app then click on the “No Thanks” button.

After removing, you can always reinstall the app by visiting to the app store. If you connect your iPad to your computer, go to iTunes –> iPad –> Application tab. Uncheck the box next to “Sync application list”. This will prevent your iPad to sync applications with iTunes.

Sometime back we wrote about how to play Pacman game on Google. Unlike Google, Bing has its own game channel on which you can play plenty of games. There are categories for games such as action, arcade, puzzle, card, casino, word, etc. To play games you don’t need to install any software. You can play it right inside your browser.

If you scroll the page down, you’ll see the games belongs to action favorite category. Just click on the game’s thumbnail and start playing right inside your browser.

I clicked on 8 Ball championship (one of my favorite) to play it. The graphics of game is pretty nice and there is a help button available which shows you various commands to operate the games.

There are more than 60 games available right now. You can play games, sign in with your Facebook account, publish the score on Facebook wall and compare it with your friend’s result. There are some awesome classical games available such as Belle’s Beauty Boutique, Carniball, Fishdom Spooky Splash, Jigsaw, 8 Ball Champion, Pyramid Solitaire and Gardenscapes. If you want to search anything while playing game then you can do it easily with the help of above given search box.

Check-in Foursquare Using Your Computer [Chrome Extension]

FourSquare is a social networking site which is powered by location based service. by which users can check-in the current location and share it with friends on Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites. Also by using this service you can discover new and interesting places for dinner and hang out.

Users can check-in various locations by using their mobile phones. There are apps available for iPhone, Blackberry and Android users. Also there is a mobile version of the site to update the location from any mobile phone.

If you want to check-in Foursquare from your computer then you can make use of various Firefox and Chrome extensions available for the purpose. Here am going to tell you about Chrome extension which is known as FourSquare.

Download and install the extension on your computer. A small foursquare icon will appear on the Chrome extension bar. Click on the icon, a small pop up box will appear displaying you the login option.

Login with your credentials. It will display you plenty of options. You can find new friends, check-in, shout, search venues, change location and many more. It also displays your current location. Probably it fetches the data from Google Latitude.

A small box will appear asking you your current location. Enter the location and click the “check-in” button.

It will successfully check-in your location. After check-in it shows check-in score and the current mayor of the location.

That’s it. Similarly you can use other features by clicking on the given links. Search is another nice feature of this extension by which you can search for any coffee shop, restaurants, coffee shops or any other place.

How To Increase Undo Time Limit In Gmail

Gmail Undo time limit which is also known as a panic button, is a nice feature by which you can undo send mails. It means after hitting the send button, you mail will hold for few seconds and between this time you can click the undo button to cancel the mails. It is helpful if you send the mail to any other person or you find any typo in the mail after sending it.

How to enable Gmail’s “Undo Send” feature

1. To enable undo Send feature, click on the settings link given at the top right. Now click on the Labs tab.

2. Search for the Undo Send lab feature and check the “Enable” option. Scroll the page down and click on “Save Changes” button.

How To increase undo time limit

3. Again click on the settings link on the top right. On the general tab, scroll down the page. You’ll find “Undo Send” option.

4. Click on the drop down and select the time. There are three options 5, 10 and 20 seconds. 5 seconds is a default time. You can increase the time up to 20 seconds.

5. Scroll down the page and click the “Save Changes” button.

Yesterday I tried one funny but addictive iPad app known as Talking Tom Cat. Install this app on your iPad. When you open the application you’ll get a funny cat whose name is Tom. He listens whatever you say an repeats it back with the same expression. Believe me, the cat’s expression is full of humor and the app is very addictive. You can’t get out of it soon.

You can make use of iPad’s tap feature to pet head or body of the cat. You can poke him on the belly and on her foot or pull his tail. For extra fun you can pour milk to him.

There is a facility to record the video of cat’s activity and share it on YouTube and Facebook. The maximum video limit is 30 seconds. The sound effect is awesome and the expressions of cat will definitely make you laugh. This app is available free of cost on iTunes store.

How To Share Google Reader Feeds on Twitter, Facebook and Other Social Media Sites

If you are someone who loves to read feeds in Google reader then you don’t need to migrate to other sites to share articles on Twitter, Facebook, Orkut or other social networking and social media sites. Google reader provides nice “send to” feature by which you can quickly send articles to your Twitter and other stream. Here’s a method to activate it.

1. Login to Google reader.

2. On the top right, click on Settings –> Reader settings.

3. In Google reader settings, click on the “Send To” tab. You’ll find various service and boxes next to them. Click on the boxes next to the service name on which you want to share the reader articles.

4 Now go back to the Google reader. Open the post to read. Below the post, you’ll find the “Send to” dropdown. Click on it and then click on “Twitter”.

After clicking on Twitter button, it will redirect to your Twitter account. Click the tweet button to tweet the post.
