Yelp is growing fast, and it's now time to bring aboard a people-focused executive to help continue growing the team thoughtfully and effectively for the next few years. We recognize that people and culture are vital to our success, and we love Jack Welch's concept of HR as the company's most important department. So if you or someone you know fits the description below and is super sharp, competent and genuinely loves people, please let us know!

    * Be a confidante and independent problem solver for employee issues and concerns
    * Develop and roll-out a performance review process that's helpful for employees and light on bureaucracy
    * (This is most likely a VP role, but we're also willing to consider a star Director who can grow into the role)

Requirements

    * Successful executive role outside of HR, but with lots of relevant people management experience (e.g., sales, engineering, general management...)
    * Significant experience dealing with the full range of "people" issues, from recruiting and training to compensation
    * Experience in both private and public companies a plus
    * Ability to travel and work across multiple offices; international experience and language skills a plus
    * World class communication skills and the ability to champion your ideas
