ADELE RESPONDS TO SEX TAPE RUMORS!!!

Rumor had it that a sex tape featuring Adele would be released today. However, the Grammy winner's lawyers have dismissed the claims as "untrue" and are threatening legal action against those who purported to be privy to the tape.

French paparazzo Jean-Claude Elfassi claimed on Twitter yesterday to have a copy of the alleged tape, which he said was released by an ex for revenge, and teased that he would broadcast it today. However, the links in the Twitter message are not currently working.

Meanwhile, the French tabloid Public splashed the words, "Exclusive! Adele sex tape! Her ex's revenge!" on its cover, along with an image allegedly taken from the tape. The magazine reportedly ran three pages of stills from the tape, calling them "very risque" and "shocking." According to the magazine, the tape revealed the singer "in the back seat of her car."

However, lawyers for Adele says that the photos are fake and that the tape does not in fact exist.

"We are informed that the French magazine Public has today published images which it claims show our client in a sex tape," the British songstress' lawyers said in a statement to the Daily Mail. "Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs. Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory. Our client is taking legal action in relation to this matter."

Reports had conjectured that, if the tape were real, it could have been released by the same ex that inspired the songs "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You" off Adele's Grammy-winning album "21." While the star has kept the identity of the ex a secret, he was recently revealed by The Post to be actor and musician Slinky Sunbeam.

However, at the Grammys, Adele said that she and her ex were on good terms.

"I think he’d be very happy for me," Adele said when asked backstage at the awards show how he would feel about her multiple wins.

Just one week after The Hollywood Reporter broke news that Whitney Houston was under consideration for a judge's seat on the show, reports have surfaced that another pop icon is throwing her hat in the ring.

After an awkward interaction with Anderson Cooper on Thursday, in which Jackson tiptoed around the subject, sources tell THR the singer has expressed interest in joining the show. "Oh my God," the 45-year-old said on-air with a laugh. "No, I'm not a judge on The X Factor."

"You're not currently a judge on The X Factor," responded Cooper. "No, I am not," said Jackson. "But that's all I really think I should say."

Any talks are currently in the preliminary stages, as Simon Cowell holds meetings this week with potential candidates to fill the shoes of ousted judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones.

Another source tells THR that pop bad girl Pink is high on Cowell's wish list. The singer, whose real name is Alicia Moore, has credibility, Grammy awards and sass, plus "she can take on Simon." Cowell also has acknowledged an interest in "I Kissed a Girl" singer Katy Perry, telling Extra, "I worked with Katy once. I think she would be fun because she is hard - in a good way - and she's feisty."

"She would be great," he continued. "In terms of experience, success … brilliant."

Some were confused, others offended by Nicki Minaj's over-the-top performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, but the singer-rapper doesn't understand what all the hubbub is about.

"I don't know what is the big issue?" she asked.

The 29-year-old said her five-minute live rendition of her songs "Roman's Revenge" and "Roman Holiday," which included dancing priests, an exorcism and levitation, was just a part of a movie she's writing.

"You know how people write plays and movies? That's what I did. I wrote that and I gave the world a tiny little preview of what was to come. And so I have to perform it on the set in which it would be in the movie, right?" she said.

Minaj made the comments Wednesday night at an event for Viva Glam MAC cosmetics, for which she is an ambassador with fellow singer Ricky Martin. Proceeds from the sale of the special edition MAC products benefit HIV/AIDS programs worldwide.

Minaj, who is known for her outrageous style, walked the Grammy red carpet in an oversized red robe with a man dressed as a pope at her side. She said her performance, which featured a film clip, was partly inspired by the 1973 movie "The Exorcist."

Her sophomore album, "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded," will be released on April 3 and features Minaj rapping as her male alter ego, Roman. It's the follow-up to her platinum debut, "Pink Friday," which was nominated for three Grammys, though she walked away with zero trophies.

Word on the blogosphere is that the feature on Rihanna's upcoming remix to "Birthday Cake" is none other then ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown.

According to MissInfo.tv, the collaboration is indeed happening! Sources tell Info that Chris Brown laced the track and will be seen in the music video. Breezy reportedly sings and rhymes on the track, but we'll have to wait till next week, release date, to hear if both parts will be included.

Over the weekend, Chris Brown and Rihanna were seen leaving a West Hollywood studio, separately. Co-producers of "Birthday Cake," Da Internz -- comprised of Kosine and Tuo -- hinted on the collaboration when they told MTV News that the cameo on the track would "shock the world."

"It's gonna be crazy," Tuo said. "And the feature on there is gonna shock the world," Kosine added.

The icing on the cake is that Brown did indeed attend Rihanna's 24th birthday celebration on Monday night (Feb. 13). Sources say the singers came together and were close the entire night.

Queen Bey' never sleeps. Though giving birth to hers and Jay-Z's first child, Blue Ivy Carter, just over a month ago, Beyoncé continues to put in work. The singer is working on not one but two new projects slated for 2012.

Producer/songwriter Ryan Tedder, who won a Grammy for contributing to Adele's Billboard 200 No. 1 album, "21," told The BoomBox that he is sending Bey' songs about parenthood.

"The conversations about her next album literally just started and there [are] two projects happening," OneRepublic frontman said. "All I can say is you kind of feed her the best that you have and she's this phenomenal filter and she takes it all in."

Though Tedder didn't reveal what the singer's second project would be, he assures fans they'll definitely see more of Beyoncé this year.

RIP WHITNEY HOUSTON: EARLY REPORTS SUGGEST SHE DIED FROM A MIXTURE OF PRESCRIPTION DRUGS & ALCOHOL!!!

Whitney Houston's family was told by L.A. County Coroner officials ... the singer did not die from drowning, but rather from what appears to be a combination of Xanax and other prescription drugs mixed with alcohol ... this according to family sources.

TMZ reports, the Coroner's officials informed the family there was not enough water in Whitney's lungs to lead to the conclusion that she drowned.

The sources say the family was told Whitney may well have died before her head became submerged.

And family sources tell TMZ... it was actually Whitney's aunt, Mary Jones, who discovered Whitney's body in the bathtub. Mary had laid out Whitney's dress for the evening on the bed and then left for about a half hour. When Whitney didn't come out of the bathroom, Mary entered, pulled Whitney out of the tub and began administering CPR.

And we're told ... Whitney's mom has arranged to have the singer's body flown back to Atlanta, as early as tomorrow. The family was told the Coroner has no problem releasing the body because there is no evidence of foul play -- and unless cops put a hold on the body, it can be flown back East.

The day before Whitney Houston was found dead in her bathtub at the Beverly Hilton ... her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, fell asleep in a bathtub in the exact same hotel ... TMZ has learned.

Friends of Bobbi Kristina tried knocking on her door repeatedly Friday night ... but she didn't answer. They called security to get them to unlock the door and help them get Bobbi out of the tub.

It happened on the same floor of the hotel where Whitney would be found dead the next day.

As TMZ first reported, Bobbi Kristina has been hospitalized twice since her mother's passing and we're told her family fears she might be suicidal.

Beyonce gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter on Jan. 7; days later, Jay-Z released "Glory," a song dedicated to (and featuring) Blue Ivy that made the newborn the youngest artist to ever appear on any Billboard chart (R&B/Hip-Hop Songs). Earlier this week, Jay-Z performed "Glory" for the first time during a performance at Carnegie Hall.

Rolling Stone reports that the new mom, 30, and dad, 43, filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect their daughter's name; the music superstars intend to use Blue Ivy as a potential brand name for a line of baby products, including carriages, diaper bags and baby cosmetics.

The application (made through Beyonce's company BGK Trademark Holdings) is pending, but is expected to be approved.

DRAKE SUED BY EX-GIRLFRIEND OVER "MARVIN'S ROOM"!!!

Last year, Drake released a song, "Marvin's Room," that quickly went viral and prompted various remixes by fellow artists intrigued by the depiction of a young woman on a phone call as the rapper drunkenly croons, "You could do better."

Now, Ericka Lee, revealing herself to be Drake's ex-girlfriend, has stepped up, saying she was the voice on the other end of the phone call. The woman is now suing Drake for excluding her from sharing co-writer royalties on one of his biggest recent hits.

Lee filed the lawsuit on Thursday (Feb. 2) in California federal court claiming the two had a romantic and business partnership between early-2010 and mid-201. During the relationship, the two are said to have traded poems and song lyrics and discussed joint creative projects.

Last year, Drake allegedly agreed to work with Lee on "Marvin's Room" and split the proceeds. Lee says she was asked to record the song's "hook" as well as the opening monologue that would serve as the thematic framework for a song about Drake's yearning for an ex-girlfriend and how his fame interfered with his love life. "Plaintiff's contribution is highly significant to the overall work," says the complaint.

Drake supposedly acknowledged Lee's contributions in text messages sent to her. One read, "U basically made that song." Another read, "It's s--t without you."

Drake purportedly gave Lee credit as a "vocalist" on the song as "Syren Lyric Muse." Additionally, the parties are said to have registered the sound recording at the U.S. Copyright Office. On July 11, Lee made a claim there, saying "My works and voice are used on this work." About six weeks later, Drake's label, Cash Money Records made its own claim, saying that the song authored was an "employer for hire."

Lee reports that after the song was released, their relationship ended and got ugly fast. The two discussed meeting in Los Angeles, but it never happened. According to the complaint, Drake later sent a text message to Lee that offered her 2 percent of "publishing royalties."

By November, Lee hired a lawyer, which allegedly caused Drake to make threatening phone calls. "What the f--k is your problem?" he said to her, according to the complaint, then offering her "4-5%" of publishing monies plus a $50,000 payout to go away.

Instead, Lee has filed a lawsuit over "Marvin's Room," which has been viewed more than 39 million times on YouTube. She demands a judge declare her as co-writer of the song. She's also seeking damages and disgorgement of profits on allegations of breach of fiduciary duties and unjust enrichment. Lee is represented by Neville Johnson, who previously filed a lawsuit against Drake on behalf of a Playboy Enterprises for sampling an unauthorized sound recording it owned on "Best I Ever Had."

Drake couldn't be reached for comment.

It would the highest TV salary ever, and, indeed, an ideal job for Beyonce, 30, who gave birth daughter Blue Ivy, her first child with husband Jay-Z, last month; the X-Factor stint could theoretically allow the Grammy winning singer a way to stay in the public eye during her baby's first years without having to tour worldwide.

"He wants a big-name female star on the panel," an insider said. "Mariah [Carey] is good, but she's not that hot today. He wants Beyoncé because that would immediately give him the bounce needed to beat 'American Idol.'"
