I’m always looking for ways to make my legs look better, whether it is exercising more to keep my legs toned and looking fit, applying tanning creams and moisturizer so they have a nice color, wearing flattering skirts and high heels to compliment them, or getting laser hair removal treatments to keep them nice and smooth to the touch. However, all of that requires a lot of time, effort, and money, so sometimes I need some motivation, and checking out celebrities is one way I motivate myself. Here’s my list of best celebrity legs:

“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” I love that saying. I have pretty much made that my life motto. That, my friend, is part of the motivation that helped me decided to try to get into law school. I took the LSAT, applied and am now officially a student of Harvard Law. That’s right, little ole me! When I got my acceptance letter, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Funny enough, that is the same reaction I had when I saw what tuition was going to be also- I couldn’t believe my eyes! Despite the initial shock, I couldn’t turn them down. Who says no to Harvard? Not this girl! I did get a small academic scholarship but I will work part time to off set the cost of tuition. I also moved into my grandmother’s basement to save on rent and utilities. The only thing I’ll be paying for is my cell phone, insurance and internet. Luckily, I set her house up with Inman Square Broadband Internet. Can you believe she didn’t have internet? I think she may have been the only person left on the planet not connected to the world wide web. Who knows, maybe Granny will come around to a computer after all.

His beard (which he also sported for his upcoming movie Wanderlust), was met with mixed reactions, but he grew fond of it. “You establish all sorts of mannerisms with it. Like when you’re bored, you can feather your mustache.” As for how women responded to it: “Certain chicks dig it; certain chicks don’t.”

Men’s Clothing Sales for Labor Day Weekend

With fall right around the corner, a new school year starting up, and a long weekend in front of you, it’s a great time to do some shopping. As usual, when I shop, I look online for the best deals and to see what is in style, and I found some great mens clothing sales at both online stores and brick and mortar stores looking to bring in shoppers over the holiday weekend.

I am looking for some slacks, shirts, and a jacket for my man, and found some great deals on weathered boot cut jeans and relaxed jeans that will look great on him, along with a couple pairs of nice dress slacks. Next, I found a beautiful light gray wool overcoat that should fit in with the trends towards more sophisticated and luxurious looks shown in this fall’s fashion shows, and a double-breasted tweed jacket. Finally, I bought a sweater with a nice Nordic pattern, a couple crew neck shirts, and a solid, brown collared shirt.

Back to School Fashion Tips for Girls

With children, teenagers, and young adults all getting ready to head back to school, it seemed like a good time to look at the fashion trends for women and girls this fall so you or your daughter can be ready to look your best in class. In general, girls’ clothes appear to be more modest and more grown-up this year than they have in the recent past, which should be a relief to most parents, but a more feminine look is also in, which should appeal to younger girls.

According to many reports, retro clothing is still selling well, along with skinny leggings and fake fur and leather. Bright colors are also in, with red, orange, and yellow seeming to be the most popular. Of course, girls will continue to show interest in clothing worn by celebrities and models shown on TV and online, but there are plenty of fashionable options that should appeal to both the student and the parent.

I have found a new site that is really useful for people that are interested in celebrity fashion, Fashionbase.

Fashionbase provides a database of celebrities, designers, and clothing, and merges them all together in an easy to use and attractive format. I really like that I can click on the name of one of my favorite celebrities, like Kim Kardashian, and see recent photos and a list of her favorite brands, I can click on individual celebrity photos and find out what brands were used to make up an outfit I like, or I can click on the name of a designer I like and see who is wearing it.

While the entire site is very useful, I think my favorite part is the way they have listed brands so I can see who is wearing clothes and accessories from my favorite designers, and get ideas for how I can put together new outfits or new clothes that would look good on me and in my closet. If you sign up for an account, or sign in using your Facebook, Twitter, or Google account, you can even request more information about individual pieces of a certain outfit or upload your own photo to analyze, which I think is very helpful.

Whether you are looking for a hot celebrity photo, information on what famous people are wearing your favorite brands, a breakdown of a outfit that you saw a celebrity wearing and would like to duplicate, or just like to browse a large database of fashionable pictures, Fashionbase is the site for you.

The devastation in JAPAN following the earthquake and tsunami disasters in March 2011 was truly horrifying, claiming over 15,000 deaths, with over 5000 injured and over 8000 people still missing. Celebrities in my favorite shoes

I have been looking new ideas for some additions to my shoe collection (as always) and found some celebrities wearing a variety of shoes that I liked quite a bit.

Miranda Kerr wore these leopard print pumps on a red carpet in South Korea, and they looked great with her black dress. I don’t think these shoes will make my legs look as good as hers, but I can always buy them and hope! See the picture of Miranda on the red carpet below and you’ll see what I mean.

It’s been very rainy around here lately, and I need a new set of ladies rainboots. While I was looking for ideas, I came across this great picture of Lily Donaldson on a very wet day at the Glastonbury Music festival. Even though the day is dreary, she looks great, and her feet are dry.

I am also thrilled that riding boots are in style, as I love to wear tall boots. I found a candid picture of Reese Witherspoon walking with husband Jim Toth in some boots that I love, and I think they are ciao bella boots. I ordered a pair and I can’t wait to wear them out in jeans or a short skirt.

Gold Medalist swimmer Amanda Beard took a break from training for a fun afternoon with her sisters in the sun at Azure Luxury Pool at The Palazzo.

Looking gorgeous and tan in a hot pink haltered swimsuit by Spiegel, Amanda snacked on Wolfgang Puck’s margherita pizza, crispy salt and pepper calamari and her favorite, grilled beef satay. The girls sipped on Miami Vices which is a concoction of strawberry daiquiri and pina colada. The new mom said she went on a strict diet after having her baby
Blaise, but indulges now and then in between training. “I’m so busy training, so this weekend is all about simply having fun and hanging out with my sisters,” said Amanda.

When asked about other swimmers, Amanda exclaimed, “Michael Phelps is ridiculous in the pool!”

The afternoon got even hotter when Azure Luxury Pool hosted a hot bikini competition and Amanda awarded the top three winners with gold, silver and bronze medals.

Tori Spelling, Kristin Chenoweth ROKK the GLAAD Media Awards in LA

Downtown LA saw some of Hollywoods finest at the 22nd Annual GLAAD Awards at the Westin Bonaventure last night. Celebrity attendees, including GLAAD honorees Kristin Chenoweth and Robert Greenblatt, strutted down the ROKK
blue carpet and were treated to an evening filled with delicious ROKK Vodka cocktails; hilarious commentary from hosts Amy Poehler and Rashida Jones; and a surprise performance of 9 to 5 from the legendary Dolly Parton.

Keeping in the same spirit of the New York show, ROKK pledged to donate $100 to GLAAD for every ROKK said during the show. LA truly rocked it out, raising an additional $12,500 for the organization. Celebrity attendees were also encouraged to sign a one-of-a-kind RÖKK photograph created by celebrity photographer Mike Ruiz. Tori Spelling, Kristin Chenoweth, Kirsten Dunst and many others joined the likes of Russell Simmons, Ricky Martin, and Denis OHare in signing the artwork (which will be contributed to GLAADs OutAuction next fall).

Kim and Kyle Richards Celebrates the Season Premiere of Azure Luxury Pool at The Palazzo

Fabulous fashion and glamorous guests celebrated the season premiere of Azure Luxury Pool at The Palazzo under the Vegas sun. Beverly Hills Housewives Kyle and Kim Richards kicked off the summer pool season in style while Spiegel joined in on the party presenting a fashion show featuring the new travel and swim collection. Models wore signature
styles and were accessorized head-to-toe with jewels, animal prints and bright colors.

The sisters arrived to the Azure blue carpet strutting their Spiegel Signature Style as fans of the Housewives waved and shouted, “We love you!” When asked about Vegas on the carpet, Kim responded, “I love to come to Vegas now because you don’t just have to gamble…you can lounge by the pool or go to the spa and relax. I’ve been coming to Vegas more
because of The Palazzo.” Kyle looked stunning with her long wavy locks and kept gushing about her services at Canyon Ranch SpaClub and her Lago suite, “I had the best manicure and pedicure…look at my toes and my suite is so gorgeous and spacious.”

As they entered the party, the pair went straight to the photo booth where they goofed off messing up each other’s hair, dressed up in oversized gold shades and Azure hats, played with beach balls and posed for fun photos. Then the sisters made their way to the VIP cabana where they danced to the DJ, dined on Asian chicken salad, margherita pizza
and fries and hung out with friends and family.

The Azure Luxury Pool brings the pool party to a new level of luxury with an intimate setting, lush greenery, relaxing fountains, exclusive amenities including poolside massages by Canyon Ranch SpaClub, a new hookah lounge and food from Wolfgang Puck. “It’s beautiful here at Azure- just look around,” said host Kyle Richards. “It’s secluded yet a fun party with massages and delicious food.” Spiegel added something special as attractive male models walked around with iPads to find
people’s Signature Styles. The ladies mixed and mingled with the crowd posing for many photos and chatting about their show. The day ended with a signature three tiered cake decorated with high-end fashion brands, zebra print and sparkles. “This cake is to die for,” shouted Kyle.

Bonding with My Sister on a Relaxing Cruise

After a long and stressful year, my sister and I have decided to reward ourselves by going on a cruise. This Sunday, we’ll be leaving for the Bahamas! She and I haven’t vacationed together since we were kids, so it will be a lot of fun to spend so much time together. Neither of us has ever been on a cruise, so that will be an interesting experience as well.

I’m going to pick her up early before we head to the airport, so I’ll be getting all my packing done the night before. Then, I’ll set my home security alarm from totalalarmsystems and drive over to her house. After the long day of travel, it will be so nice to sink into that bed on the cruise ship. We got a luxurious looking suite together and I can’t wait to see the decor of it. The brochures we browsed through said each room has a theme!

Before we’ve even hit the Bahamas, we’ll have a great time relaxing on the ship and taking in the whole experience. The ship we’re traveling on is supposed to have live entertainment all day long, as well as group sponsored games and activities. I’m really excited to chat with new people on the ship. Most of all, I’m looking forward to spending some quality time bonding with my favorite sister.
