Ailbhe, in Gaelic, means “white” or “brightness”. In my mind, it’s the perfect name for a girl who didn’t make it to 100% opacity in Photoshop. I combined an old painting and a Moleskine pencil and Copic marker sketch. The illustration was placed underneath the glass of a vintage optical lens from an optometrist’s trial lens set, circa early 1900’s. The back is protected by a durable glass-like resin to create a hard lustrous finish.
