Another recent addition to the growing website is the intergration of an RSS feed, in both RSS 2.0 and its subsiduary formats, plain source XML or in Atom format. If you are running FireFox then you should already have a built in news aggregator, in the bottom corner of the screen there should be an orange logo click on it and then you can subscribe to the latest leeds met snowboarding news, alternatively you can download an aggregator, such as FeedDemon

And as with any XML feed you can integrate it into your own site if you so wish:

The formatted link is http://feeds.feedburner.com/leedsmetsnowboarders
The base XML file is located at http://www.paulc.karoo.net/rss/atom.xml

Good luck, its a very handy thing to have! And you can subscribe to so many different feeds and get summary news and news in full without browsing through web pages!

Finally fixed all the rendering problems IE 6 had with the page, im not sure if you will be able to access it with anything less then IE 6 such as IE 5 or 5.5. But lets hope your all running the latest IE version. Although if I was really hoping I would hope you where all using firefox

In addition to fixing all the IE rendering problems, I had to also change the domain name, as CJB.net was giving really nasty graphics glitches so its now .co.nr

But now its looking pretty swish!

Anyway glad thats all fixed now!

As you may be able to tell, anyone accessing this website is going to find it very ugly to look at, well untill microsft get of there arses and fix all the problems with IE. It doesnt even conform to web standards, so you make a web page every other browser supports it, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Konquor, but not IE, IE just flips off everyone else and does its own things

I have tried to implement several fixes in order to get pages to display better in IE. I managed to get the menu functioning correctly, after building in an if statement to alter the CSS code if the user was browsing with IE, which works I think, for the most part, however I have just checked it again and its broken, its just one headache after another with that stupid browser!

After I got over that problem I tried to implement some transparant PNG-24 images, which not suprisingly didnt work at all, there ends up being a garish grey background. I have tried running a PHP script on the page to change all the image tags and replace them with spacers and then overlay the png back on top, but as usual IE is just being plain stupid! It wont run the PHP because there is an if statement nestled in there! Its just so frustrating!

My recomendation, get a browser that actually bloody works! Like FireFox or Opera,

Oh and I have also just discovered that I am infact, THE biggest geek in the world and also, IE doesnt display my CSS tables properly either! what an appalling excuse for a compliant browser, Grrrrr, plus they arent going to fix any of these problems any time soon either!

Please download one of the better browsers
