ClaudeMediavilla.com goes live

Launch of Claude Mediavilla’s web site

In the rush up to the end of the year, we completely forgot to announce that Claude Mediavilla’s web site, ClaudeMediavilla.com — which we are very proud to have worked on — went live late November. But we did right to wait a little as this also allows us to add links to the nice things that people have been saying about it. First of all, a quote from Le Typographe, and then an article, in two parts, from Peter Gabor’s Design & Typo that also presents Claude’s work in more detail. We should also point out that Peter wrote a complete article about Claude’s new book, History of Calligraphy in France in the December issue of the french magazine etapes — sorry, the article is not available on line.

You can visit the site here: ClaudeMediavilla.com.

Hubert Raguet

HubertRaguet.com goes live

Hubert Raguet is an exceptional photo reporter working mainly in the field of science and technology. His photo features, whether they concern Science and Medecine, Mini UAVs, Algerian sand dunes, or a gigantic wind tunnel in the French Alps, are amazing when they bring us closer to the essential technological questions of our time, but always from a human angle. We challenge anyone to follow his gallery of photos of Grégory, chronicling one man’s fight against a particularly nasty form of cancer, and not be moved — yet the images never fall prey to any cheap sensationalism as he follows the struggle, the ups and downs, the science and the humanity.

We have been working for many months now, moving Hubert’s site to our multi-lingual rapid web development tool, mog*cms, overseeing the creation of new tools, as well as the translations into English. Now his site is ready to go live, and we invite you all to discover it. HubertRaguet.com.

Another new site coming from mogWerks

This is just to announce that we have signed with Claude Mediavilla to give him a place on the web. The site is designed to go live to coincide with the publication [in French] of his new book History of Calligraphy in France.

Claude Mediavilla is acknowledged as one of the world’s leading calligraphers, and a major contributor in the field of paleography. He contributed immensely to the rekindling the interest, and study, of calligraphy in France, where he lives.

We are immensely proud of being chosen to assist him in putting together this site, which we count will be an essential resource for all who share an interest in calligraphy, and letter forms.
