Side Missions

Little Jacob

20 Drug Delivery Missions
Once that Niko has reached the end of Jacob's storyline missions,
he and Badman offer Niko a bit of side work. The "Job" entry under
Jacob's name in Niko's phone is how to access these side missions.
Select job on the phone call to L.J., and he will give Niko instructions
on where to find the car that is used for a drug related delivery.
The missions start out simple and get more difficult each time.
They also alternate between planting drugs, to be picked up by a
customer later, and a timed delivery of drugs, in a beat up old car.
On the planting missions, Niko always gets ambushed by a rival gang,
and on the timed deliveries, the time gets shorter each mission,
as well as the delivery points being very well hidden, and hard to
find, when only using the HUD for directions.

Brucie

20 Exotic Exports
After the mission, "Easy As Can Be", Brucie will leave
emails in Niko's email in box to steal certain vehicles.
Niko will need to reply to the email, to accept
the theft side mission, then retrieve the vehicle, and
return it to Brucie's lockup garage in Boabo.

9 Street Races
There are 9 street races available after Brucie's Mission " No.1".
3 on each island. You will have to travel around, to get him to
allow you to race, as many players have complained of the
fact that no races are available. Make sure you move around.

Stevie

30 Auto Thefts GTA Domain Map
After the mission "Smackdown", if you've got Ray's gift of a safe
house in Alderney, then Brucie will call you only one time for this.
He lets you know that his friend who loaned you the Comet for the
race, is in need of some vehicles, and Brucie has recommended Niko.
After the call, Stevie will text Niko. So leave the phone on after
"Smackdown" otherwise you'll get the now-famous glitch, written up here:
http://thegtadomain.com/forums/showp...32&postcount=6
When Stevie texts, he sends a picture of the first vehicle on his list for Niko
to steal, and return to Stevie's lock up garage in Bohan close to the safe house.
Make sure to get the vehicle there and safely into the garage, and after
that every 6 game hours Stevie will text with another picture of the
next vehicle he needs. I've found the best way to get through this is
delivery, save at Bohan, and when Niko wakes up he's got another text.
It shouldn't take you too long to get all 30, and try to not damage them.
Also by no means should you take them to the Pay N Spray, he needs them
in the original color so changing that means re-loading the game.
The cash rewards are the best in the game, and after completion, Niko
may continue to bring vehicles to the garage for smaller amounts of money.

Niko

200 Flying Rats GTA Domain Map 1 GTA Domain Map 2
There are pigeons glowing orange all over Liberty City. Niko needs
to exterminate all 200. The reward is the Anhialator helicopter, and
it does spawn on a tall building in Star Junction before the story line
is completed. There are many maps for the pigeons if needed.
Some of the "flying rats" are pretty well hidden, others are out in plain view.

50 Unique Stunts GTA Domain Map
The Unique Stunts have returned from the previous GTA games. There
are 50, and many are pretty exciting including a 4-star wanted level jump
from the roof of the Algonquin LCPD which is a mission all by itself. Rockstar
dropped the stunt locater from the map, which was a cool feature in the
last game Vice City Stories, but they kept some water stunts, so that's cool.
For those you'll need a fast boat, for most you'll want a fast bike, and some,
all you'll need is a strong car like a Taxi or Police Car.

20 Vigilante Missions
After Niko gains access to a computer in a Police Car, the option for
Current Crimes provides vigilante missions, similar to the ones in
previous GTA games. The missions are timed but the timer ends once
you are near the criminal. These can be done on any island, and they
will range from criminals on foot, to entire gangs, to snipers, and of
course the escaping criminals by vehicle....this time, throwing grenades.
The current crimes go on forever, there appears to be no end or limit to them.

30 Most Wanted Missions
Similar to vigilante you'll need to access the Police Car's computer
and have a selection of 10 Most Wanted criminals, on each island.
They do not have to be done in any particular order, but unlike the
current crimes, there are only 10 available per island to kill.

14 Random Pedestrians
You may notice blue icons on your HUD and these are random pedestrians
that Niko will meet, and he can do certain jobs to help them.
Most are easy, and available through natural game progression.
As you progress more in the game, more random pedestrians become available.
Some will be returning characters from people you spared, earlier in the game.

9 Assassination Missions
"The Fixer" gives Niko 9 separately dirty deeds from an Alderney pay phone.
Some of these are extremely easy such as merely sniping a target on a boat
that is anchored in a harbor, others are difficult, complicated by high wanted
levels where the focus then switches to fighting the police. There are only
nine of them and they are given in random order, after completion Niko gets a final call.
The cash rewards here are quite good, but don't forget to save game in between missions.

QUB3D
The arcade game found in Faustin's office, the Triangle Club, and many other places
through out Liberty City is the QUB3D challenge game. It's similar to Tetris and Magic Drops.
You have to beat the high score of 10,000 to get credit for this side mission.
It takes a few tries, but gets easier as you play the game more.

According to Take-Two, the release of Grand Theft Auto IV has been the biggest media release in the history of the world. Bigger than any movie, videogame, or music. Details from the official release:blockquoteTake-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), said today that Grand Theft Auto IV has surpassed all-time entertainment records for day one and week one sales by dollar value. Released on Tuesday, April 29th, Grand Theft Auto IV, the critically acclaimed video game, has sold through to consumers approximately 6 million units globally with an estimated retail value of more than $500 million in the first week. Grand Theft Auto IV sold approximately 3.6 million units on its opening day with a retail value of approximately $310 million globally.br / br / We knew Grand Theft Auto IV would break new ground in terms of the player's experience, with its compelling story line, extraordinary gameplay and action that ranges over a broad urban canvas. Now, it has broken sales and rating records as well. Grand Theft Auto IV's first week performance represents the largest launch in the history of interactive entertainment, and we believe these retail sales levels surpass any movie or music launch to date. We congratulate the entire Rockstar team on creating a must-have experience that takes the legendary Grand Theft Auto franchise to a new level, said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman of Take-Two.br / br / Rockstar's goal is to make each new title in the Grand Theft Auto franchise even better than those that preceded it, and Grand Theft Auto IV is a smashing success on that score. Grand Theft Auto IV makes full use of the power of next generation technology, and offers players an experience unique in the interactive entertainment medium. This game sets a new standard in the industry, with critics hailing it as both an artistic and technological masterpiece, said Ben Feder, Take-Two's Chief Executive Officer./blockquoteIn other news, a PS3 patch was put out today addressing freezing issues and other undocumented bugs. When connecting to the internet to play the game on PS3, you will be asked to download the new patch.
