<itunes:author>Jon Hicks and John Oxton</itunes:author>
<itunes:summary>Jon Hicks and Jon Oxton answer questions about the web, design and anything else put to them by their listeners.</itunes:summary>
<description>Messrs Oxton and Hicks, broadcasting from the ex-RAF base in Upper Rissington, UK. Think of this as a geek version of Gardeners Question Time. We take your questions, be they concerning semantic HTML, CSS, cheese, cookery or whatever is on your minds. We are your expert panellists, agony aunts and general life-gurus. We will also have regular spots - jokes from an 1940's RAF magazine, typeface of the 'week', and any geek/technology thing we care to talk about. </description>

<itunes:subtitle>	Being the episode where all 4 of us in Team Rissington share 2 mics. We also implement a swear-box, with donations going to our breakfast baps and Quake Aid Casserole.

	The Linky-Poos!

Finding the central meeting point of several addresses on a map Mezzoman
We’re mentioning and linking to the WordCamp UK Wiki and Mailing List because Ian asked very nicely.
Kev Adamsons question generated an ad about Yurt Camping in Wales
The panel mentioned the glorious Speak your Branes, and suggested The Serif, AceJet, Dieline (packaging design blog), Monoscope and Textism.
Brands we love and are inspired by: Howies and Lego.
The embedded player in the podcast comes courtesy of jnm_audio textpattern plugin.

		Phil Sherry’s charity Eyefund

BBC Wales uses arial instead of Verdana

Please no more questions about Textpattern, Fireworks or favourite text editors!</itunes:subtitle>

<title>Episode Eight</title>
<itunes:author>John Oxton &amp; John Hicks</itunes:author>
<itunes:subtitle>	This show was recorded back in February, but only now have we had the chance to edit it and get it out. This one features Mr Clayson more, which is a joy to behold.

	Shout Outs

Alun Rowe, Mayor of Thame, for the lovely RAF books

Relly Annett-Baker for the cross stitch instructions of the Rissington Podcast

	The Questions

What Podcasts do you listen to regularly? John chose The Onion, Hospital Records, NeverRain and Zane Lowe. Jon chose They Might Be Giants podcast for families and the Maniacal Rage Podcast, In our time and the Summer Heights High video podcast.
Resources for Fireworks: There aren’t any – leave suggestions in the comments!
How do you respond when a client asks you just to ‘make a website?’.
		Advice for a Morale Officer!
Differences between US and UK clients
Most British way to respond to client critiscm
Which gigs are most looking forward to this year? At any cost, we’d see Chris Joss (John) and Starflyer 59 (Jon)
Savoury pies: Shortcrust or Puff Pastry top? Best filling?
		 What CMS?
Would you rather design an entire web in lite brite or finger paint?

		Tips for representing yourself online.

	Notes

		Child buys car on ebay

Since the recording of this episode, Safari 3.1 has been released, which supports @font-face – no need to download a nightly (unless you want to!).

BTW – today is the 90th anniversary of the RAF!</itunes:subtitle>
