Sewing Week: A Holiday by Hands Festival Event

Now we've survived all the ghosts and goblins, it's time to focus on the next series of holidays: Thanksgiving and Christmas. Although I've been thinking about this holiday season for several weeks, I finally have permission to start blogging about it!

To kick off the holiday season is the Holidays by Hand Festival blog event.
Small Notebook has been busy organizing the blog event for several weeks. Each week a different blog-site will host the week's themed event. This week's theme focuses on home sewn projects. Simple Mom is hosting the Holiday by Hands Festival sewing event. There she features MANY MANY MANY different sewing projects from an easy beginner project converting a sweater to a handbag at ittybittyblog to a clever way to extend the life of a skirt at the Jen's Blog. There's even the cutest Jesse family tree ornaments, holiday bags and the easiest way to embellish a dish towel blog.

I am so excited the festival has finally begun. Although I'm not a skilled a sewer, I certainly am enjoying all the ideas and tute's. There's even a few I could do with my limited skills! lol

Next week's event is paper crafts hosted by Small Notebook. Please contact Rachel by November 10th if you wish to have one of your paper crafts featured next Tuesday!

Till your next visit to the porch-Happy Holidays!!!
