This time, there is full agreement

As a life-long conservative, I frequently find myself at odds with Brian Greenspun’s position on political issues. That was not the case last week.

I’m writing this letter to congratulate him on his thoughtful and courageous Where I Stand column in last Sunday’s Las Vegas Sun, “Cease-fire must first apply to the aggressor — Hamas,” regarding the Hamas-Israeli conflict in the Middle East. The point of view and the feelings expressed mirror my own concerns about the situation.

I find it gratifying that in times of extreme conflict, men of morality and conviction can put their political persuasions aside and unite to support the basic tenets of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Well done, sir.
