Magazines can influence culture, and we've come to take that responsibility seriously.

We're not trying to compete with the fast-moving psychedelic news cycle. Instead, we want PPM to create a living archive of psychedelic culture—stories, ideas, images, and perspectives that remain meaningful long after the day's headlines have passed.

That's why we encourage our readers to slow down with the magazine. Take time with an article. Sit with an image. Let an idea stay with you for a while.

The PPM Podcast Is Here

We're excited to announce that we've launched our podcast, The Psychedelic Pathways Magazine Podcast! The first episode is now available, and focuses on a fascinating discussion between three contributors from our Women in Psychedelics Issue and the staff behind Psychedelic Pathways Magazine. 

We're viewing the podcast as a chance to hear directly from some of the people who help make PPM what it is—and to continue conversations that don't always fit between the pages of the magazine.

What happens when profound grief becomes the beginning of an unexpected new path?

In the latest issue of Psychedelic Pathways Magazine, we introduce our readers to Angela Ward, whose story appears in The Death Issue, and I give a little behind-the-scenes insight into our story with Angela Ward in our latest newsletter.

After the devastating loss of her infant daughter, Angela found herself on a deeply personal journey through grief, healing, and ultimately psychedelic work. Her story explores the complicated space where grief and psychedelic healing intersect, and what can emerge when we face loss with openness and intention.

We're also sharing more about what's happening behind the scenes at PPM. Issue 8 is already taking shape, with new stories exploring ketamine treatment, psychedelic culture, personal transformation, and our relationship with psilocybin mushrooms.

As we continue to grow, we’re finding new ways to bring together writers, artists, researchers, and voices from across the psychedelic community—and turning all those individual pieces into something cohesive.

In the latest newsletter, I go into what it looks like behind the scenes of our publication process, from the early days of PPM to the ideas and conversations shaping future issues.

Until last weekend, Psychedelic Pathways Magazine had lived entirely behind glass. Then, at theWomen in Entheogens: Rise of the Dark Feminine conference in Boston, our magazine stepped off the screen and into people’s hands for the first time.

We marked the occasion by printing a limited number of copies of our Women in Psychedelics issue. Holding the finished magazine was a genuine milestone—and sharing it at a conference founded by Mama Ayana Iyi, who is featured in the issue, made the moment especially meaningful.

The enthusiastic reception confirmed something we have long suspected: readers still value the tactile pleasure of a beautifully printed magazine. Making print a regular offering will require us to navigate the costs and logistics, but Boston showed us that the road may be worth traveling.

The conference also offered a powerful reminder that grounded men have a role in this movement—one rooted in integrity, accountability, and a willingness to listen.
