I'm no longer on Twitter.

My new account was permanently suspended a few months ago, and I won't be rejoining.

To be honest,

I haven't enjoyed using the platform since Elon Musk took over and messed it up...

This is partly why I created a quieter space for us on Telegram a few years ago.

And later, here on my website.

So, it's been a long time coming.

You might have noticed I'm posting less on Snapchat these days.

That's because I won't be sharing there anymore either.

And whilst I still have a page on these platforms, they will become dormant going forward.

Today's Drama

I got into the shower this morning, all soaped up and minding my own business.

Scrub, scrub, scrub.

Exfoliating away with my glove sponge in pursuit of buttery smooth skin.

Then suddenly...

OUCH! 😩

A sharp pain shot through my right chest like someone had angrily pinched me for daring to have nice skin.

Naturally, I carried on because beauty is sacrifice. 😀

And I wasn't about to let anything interrupt my daily ritual to the goddess of beauty.

But when I got out of the shower, I was shocked to see how bruised it looked.

Honestly, you would think I had been in there fighting spirits.

Immediately, I started side-eyeing my village people. 😂

Not entirely sure whether they were after my blood or my skin...

But whatever was trying me certainly didn't get either.

Because the goddess of beauty has blessed me with this glorious skin. 😇

A little dramatic, you say?

I don't think so.

I bet some jealous spirit is after my complexion. 😭🤣

Okay, okay, okay...

Maybe it isn't my village people for once.

Maybe I accidentally scratched myself. 🤔

I know that explanation sounds more plausible to some of you.

But listen.

That's the physical explanation.

This battle started in the spiritual realm. 😀

Thank goodness I've been keeping up with my rituals to the gods lately.

Imagine if I had been skipping them. 😭

Anyway, all jokes aside, this actually hurt when it happened.

So if you see me walking around looking slightly offended today...

Just know I've survived yet another attack from the enemies of progress.

But little do they know...

The goddess of beauty has my back. 😇💋

Eid Mubarak 🌙 Akú Ọdún

Wishing everyone celebrating Eid a beautiful one filled with love, laughter, family and good food. ❤️

Feeling very nostalgic for childhood Eid al Adha celebrations back home -

fondly called Iléya in Yorùbá.

My grandparents would kill a small cow, or sometimes a goat…

Depending on how financially buoyant they were that year. 😀

The women would spend the entire day cooking all sort of dishes.

But the real cooking only started once the men had finished slaughtering.

And we would all eat like we had never seen food before in our lives. 😂

Then came the best part -

going from house to house visiting relatives, neighbours and family friends.

And yes… we would still eat at every single house too. 😂

Everywhere you went, there was more food waiting for you…

And usually a little money slipped into your hand as well - my absolute favourite part! 🤑

Honestly?

It was basically the Eid version of trick or treat… except it’s only treats and everybody got treats hahaha.

There were always brand new outfits, new shoes… even new underwears! 😀

The villages would suddenly come alive again.

Relatives you hadn't seen all year - sometimes in years - all returning home at once.

And somehow, despite the house being completely full, everybody still managed to find somewhere to sleep.

Mats everywhere.

Children packed on the floor like sandwiches. 😂

Cousins whispering and giggling long after bedtime.

Honestly? Those were some of the best nights.

I miss the laughter.

The noise.

The warmth.

The smell of food everywhere.

The fight over the charcoal iron! 🤣

…And of course, the childish competition over whose family killed the biggest cow. 🤣😭

Those were truly special times.

And that was only Eid day itself.

The following day, some families would start their own cooking all over again…

Meaning another full day of eating and visiting. 😂

I miss those days immensely right now…

Especially writing this and reliving the memories so vividly.

No matter where you are celebrating from today,

I hope your day is filled with beautiful moments that stay with you forever, just like mine have stayed with me.

Soft luxury, Quiet Happiness and Finally Feeling at Home in My Own Life

Lately, I have been feeling something I don't think I have fully experienced before.

Content.

Don't get me wrong, I have always lived a content and ambitious life, but this is different.

This is the "to do list is completed" kind of contentment.

It is the finish phase.

The arrival, the soft landing.

Not the loud, over-excited kind of happiness.

Not the "look at me, I've made it" kind either.

Just a soft, quiet feeling that sits gently in my chest when I look around my home and realise…

I genuinely love the life I have created for myself.

And strangely enough, a lot of that feeling has come from the tiniest things around my home. 😂

In fact, my home has become the symbol of my achievements.

My story, my personality.

Of possibilities.

And of soft landings.

I have finally finished redecorating my flat.

Everything has slowly come together over the past few months - the furniture, the lighting, the little details, the atmosphere.

It now feels exactly how I've always wanted my home to feel.

Soft.

Warm.

Calm.

Peaceful.

The kind of place that makes you feel at home the moment you walk through the door.

Feels cosy and makes you not want to leave, but need to.

And honestly?

I've been ridiculously happy over things most people probably wouldn't even notice.

Like my water filter machine.

My new bin. 😭

No, I'm serious. 😁

The first time I poured myself a glass of filtered water after setting it up two weeks ago, I genuinely stood there in my kitchen feeling like I had entered my luxury wellness era. 😌

Soft lighting.

Clean kitchen counters.

Fresh filtered water.

And the cute musical sound it makes. 😆

It felt like a lifestyle achievement.

I mean, it felt like this is it. This is THE life.

Not because of the machine itself, but because of what it represents to me.

Care.

Comfort.

Soft life.

Intentional living.

There's a kind of happiness that's difficult to explain to anyone else.

The quiet kind.

The private kind.

The momentary kind.

The kind where you stand alone in your kitchen sipping cold filtered water and suddenly realise your life feels soft.

Peaceful, and exactly the way you always hoped it would.

Nobody else really sees those moments, or would understand.

But you feel them deeply.

And then… there's my new bin. 😂

Now listen.

I know how ridiculous this sounds, but I'm obsessed with it.

A massive 60L sensor bin.

Do you understand the luxury of waving your hand dramatically and the lid opening automatically every single time?

Because I do now. 😀

Not only is it huge - meaning fewer trips taking rubbish out, fewer bin bag changes and doing my two cents in saving the planet.

But it somehow makes my kitchen feel ridiculously smart and organised.

I've had a smaller sensor bin in my bathroom for years, but this one?

This one makes me feel like I have my life together. 😂

And maybe that's what this entire phase of my life really is.

Not chasing loud luxury or trying to impress people.

Just quietly building a life that feels good to wake up in every day.

A life where soft blankets, filtered water, warm lighting, beautiful spaces and peaceful little routines somehow make me happier than chaos and material things ever did.

This doesn't mean I've achieved everything I want in life.

Not at all.

There's still so much I want to experience - more travel, more memories, more love.

Perhaps marriage one day, children maybe…

Who knows what the next chapter looks like.

But for this chapter?

I'm exactly where I want to be.

Happy.

Content.

Fulfilled.

No pressure.

No noise.

Just peaceful…

My New Love

Poor me, my TV has finally given up on me…

Now just a shell of her old smart self.

A dumb TV with nothing left to give.

To be fair,

she has been my ride or die for 13 good years, so I can't complain.

We have laughed together, cried together and shouted at scenes together.

She has seen me curled up under warm blankets in dim lighting…

Through heartbreaks, comfort rewatches, lazy Sundays.

And those nights where you accidentally watch "just one episode" until 3am on a school night 😩

She survived my old sofa, welcomed the new one with me.

And held it together longer than some relationships, honestly.

But I fear it is finally time to let her go.

Now listen.

I wasn't looking for "just any TV".

If I'm replacing something that's lasted me 13 years, I want the latest.

The best.

Something immersive, practical and future-proof enough to survive another decade with me.

So naturally, I found myself deep-diving into cinematic contrast.

Immersive picture quality.

Film lovers debating on Reddit about Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos...

like I'll never need glasses to watch movies again hahaha.

Gamers bonding over motion smoothness and HDR10+.

And grown men on YouTube whispering passionately about "true blacks" like it's a spiritual experience 😂

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I spiralled into the world of OLED TVs.

And now?

Now I cannot stop thinking about the LG OLED evo G5 in 65 inches - my old girl is only 47 inches.

This upgrade would be a revolution! 😀

I don't just want a TV. I want an entire experience.

I'm imagining cosy late-night films with the lights dimmed low…

Soft blankets… spooning on the sofa.

Fireplace glowing in the background…

Losing myself in beautiful cinematography like I'm physically inside the movie.

The worst part is I hadn't even noticed my current TV was struggling until OLED entered my life…

OLED ruined normal screens for me forever 😩

So yes…

This is where I'm currently at emotionally.

In a committed relationship with a television I do not yet own.

Honestly, the men who encourage my taste for beautiful things in life really have a lot to answer for.

Because now your girl has expensive cinematic dreams...

That her bank account isn't ready for 😭

And daydreaming about my new love - 65 inches wide…

And the black - softer, more composed. Effortless.

The kind that wraps around you and makes everything feel just a little more… held.

I tried them on slowly, taking my time… feeling the weight, the fit, the way they moved with me.

And of course, I smiled. You'll see that part. 😄

Then something a little more playful…

A pair of Uggs - cosy, warm, the kind of comfort you don't think about until you have it on.

Not everything has to be dramatic to be appreciated.

Sometimes it's simply knowing what feels good.

Soft.

Comfortable.

Quietly luxurious.

Yes, I am back in London - again lol.

I didn't announce I was away because it was only meant to be an overnight stay when I left on Sunday…

… but somehow

I turned a simple overnight into a 3-day stay

Or rather… my date did? 😉

The slower pace of life in the suburbs has a way of drawing you in.

Slowing you down and making you pause for a moment…

Just enough to breathe and notice everything around you.

Sometimes life is like that - no long planning…

Just going with the moment. 😁

Anyway… I'm now available in London. 😀

When Thoughtfulness Feels Romantic

It's Friday morning.

The day before Valentine's.

The doorbell rang.

I barely reacted.

For the past two weeks my hallway has looked like a small distribution centre - boxes arriving daily while I've been lost in redecorating mode.

That morning alone I had already received a few large parcels, and one was still missing… so I was already slightly irritated.

Why couldn't they just bring everything together? 😂

When the bell rang again, I assumed it was the final piece.

I opened the door expecting something practical.

Instead, I was handed a box that looked… different.

Smaller. Structured. Definitely not flat-pack furniture.

'What's inside?'

I mumbled at the delivery guy as he tried to get his proof-of-delivery picture.

This didn't feel like home decor.

I went inside, put it down, and just stood there looking at it.

Why do we do that?

Hover over a parcel, frown at it, analyse it… instead of just opening it when it's clearly addressed to us? 😂

Eventually curiosity won.

I grabbed a pair of scissors and tore into it like a hungry lion.

Layer after layer of thick cardboard gave way… then I saw it.

A smooth black box.

With one word printed across it.

CHANEL.

Nahhhhhh… don't play with me!

I screamed.

Ran into my bedroom.

Ran back to the living room.

Picked it up ever so gently, like it was a soft, cuddly cat, and somehow found myself back in the bedroom unwrapping it properly.

A red Chanel bag.

From my wishlist.

I screamed again.

When I finally caught my breath, I just stood there looking at it in all its gorgeous lambskin glory.

Soft. Buttery. Perfect. 👌

Pure excitement, zero composure, just me completely losing it in my bedroom.

What made this romantic wasn't just the bag.

I just looked at him like, 'What’s inside?'

He smiled and nodded at me to open it.

That look. That quiet confidence.

I removed the box from the bag

and held it for a moment, running my fingers over the smooth white packaging.

That familiar flutter building in my chest again.

I opened it.

The black Max Mara coat.

The Ludmilla cashmere one from my wishlist.

Of course I screamed.

Completely unexpected.

But what I remember most

wasn't the scream.

He didn't just hand it to me.

He took it from the box himself.

Shook it out slowly.

Stepped closer.

I felt the weight of it before it even touched me - thick, soft cashmere grazing my arms as he guided it over my shoulders.

His hands lingered slightly longer than necessary as he adjusted the collar.

Smoothed it down. Stepped back.

Then looked at me.

Not rushed. Not distracted.

Looked in.

That quiet pause -

the way a man takes in what he's chosen, what he's dressed, what he's provided - does something to me.

'You look incredible,' he said softly.

And in that moment, I didn't just feel incredible, I felt spoiled.

Claimed. Protected. Properly looked after.

The bag made me laugh and scream.

The coat made me feel soft.

Held.

Taken care of in that subtle, romantic way that doesn't need big declarations.

And honestly?

That's the kind of spoiling I remember most.

Valentine's has never been about clichés for me.

When Two Minutes Is Too Late 😭

Two minutes late to Pilates and the door is already shut.

They wouldn't let me in. Smh. 😭

A few weeks ago I turned up nearly two hours early

and had to go back home.

Today? Two minutes late and no one's answering the door.

Someone let me in!! 😭

It's raining, grey, and cold…

British weather really does the most.

I could go to the gym, but honestly? I can't be bothered now.

I'm going home.

Where it's warm.

Cosy.

And currently disorganised and messy because I'm redecorating. 😂

The Compliment That Hit Different 🖤

OMG, I'm on a high right now! 😀

I was on my way home from swimming lessons yesterday, but instead of hopping on a bus, I decided to walk and get my 10K steps in - swapped the gym for steps.

Anyway, I was strolling… and feeling myself.

The rain had stopped, the air was fresh, and it felt good to be out walking in London's hustle and bustle.

I was starting to get a little hot, so I took off my beanie, letting my neatly cornrowed head feel the breeze too.

Yesterday was one of those days I wasn't in my pretty-girl mood. No softness, no curves, no gloss.

Certainly no cleavage. 🤪

I was fully in my masculine energy.

Wearing a slightly baggy, black jogger set, a pair of trainers, glasses and a long Burberry trench coat.

The energy was giving gangster.

Bad boy vibes only.

Collar up, hands in my joggers pocket.

Coat open, flying behind me like I was in The Matrix.

Pure swag. 😎

It was rush hour, but I wasn't rushing like the rest of the city.

I was floating.

Shoulders relaxed. Grounded. Unbothered.

Just moving through the city like I owned it.

Then suddenly -

I heard, 'Excuse me!'

A tall, pretty woman caught up beside me.

I turned, slowed down and said hello - thinking she needed directions.

But she smiled and said:

'I saw you on the bridge and thought… you look so cool. I love your hair! The outfit, your style - the whole look is giving!'

She continued,

'I wanted to tell you, but I lost you. So I told myself, if I see her again, it's meant to be.'

I was stunned. Completely taken aback.

'Oh my gosh, thank you!' I beamed.

Now listen - I was already feeling myself…

But that compliment?

That sent me straight to Cloud 10. ☁️🔥

It wasn't just what she said, it was who she was.

A fellow woman.

And not just any woman - a beautiful one.

Nahhh. Someone pinch me!

Ouch.

You see, when a man compliments you,

there's always a chance he's trying to get in your knickers.

But when another woman stops you in your tracks just to say you look fly?

It hits different.

Feels real.

Validating.

Empowering.

Unless she's a lesbian… then you might still be in trouble. 😂

But jokes aside - that moment made my day.

It wasn't about being sexy.

It was about presence. Style. Energy.

And being seen exactly as I was.

In my masculine energy - no glam, no tight dress, no cleavage - and still be 'giving'?

That's a whole different kind of validation.

That kind of recognition sits with you.

You get home, make a cuppa… and you're still smiling.

Childhood Nostalgia 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Missing my childhood moments with my parents.

They always made such a loving fuss whenever I was ill.

They would offer me all my favourite food and drinks, but I never had any appetite.

My siblings would poke me to say yes so they could eat them for me 😂

Adulting sucks! 😭😂

Truly miss those days.

Sometimes a man messes up.

And sometimes… he actually listens.

After a slightly grumpy Christmas Eve mood (mine, not his 😌),

Now we're getting warmer…

So I pointed him in the right direction.

A Monday in Motion ❄️🍲

Beating myself up - I was two hours early to Pilates today. 😭

Completely forgot I start later on Mondays.

I stood outside the studio for ten minutes, wondering why it wasn't open...

Then checked my diary and realised. 🤣😭

I could've had another 90 minutes in bed.

... And use the extra time for something... or someone else. 😉

And London was bitterly cold this morning,

icy patches on the pavement, light, but frosty wind.

And a surprisingly clear sky. Even the sun came out later.

So yeah, those ten minutes outside at dawn? Not child's play. 😂

After that chaotic start, I headed to the gym.

But I had an errand to run, so I thought: Let me get that out of the way first - just in case I turn lazy later with the weather being so cold.

That was the plan.

What actually happened was different.

Obviously. 😂

After getting off the first bus,

I decided to walk to my errand instead of hopping on another - only a 15-minute walk.

Finished that, and thought, well... gym is not too far either.

So I kept going - another 25 minutes.

By the time I reached the gym… the gym mood had left me... 😅

But I was already on a roll.

And the morning sun had started to shine - now one thing about the Brits is we go wild at the slightest hint of sunshine and clear sky... it doesn't even need to be blue lol.

...So I just continued.

Before I knew it,

I had turned myself into a tourist in Central London.

Strolling past landmarks in the freezing weather, whilst the frosted wind licked my face with every step. ❄️

By the time I checked my fitness tracker, I had done over 11K steps.

Woohoo! 💪

I think I had a proud little smirk on my face... but it was too frozen to tell.

After my joy-walker-about,

I finally jumped on a bus home.

Warmed up and got ready for lunch with my friend at Enish Nigerian Restaurant - just the kind of hot meal I was craving after that impromptu city hike.

You can see how excited I got in that video.

I mean… who doesn't like food? 😀

When I told my friend about my morning adventure,

she looked at me like I was mad and asked, 'What were you thinking, in this weather?'

I said, I was just vibing… 😎

This woman replied, 'Yeah. With pneumonia.' 😂
