Gloucestershire dance school Dancestars will be putting on a show at its annual Christmas party in December to raise money for county based children’s charity WellChild.
Dancestars is based in Gloucester and teaches ballroom and Latin dance to pupils of all ages, from young children to adults. Its Christmas party takes place on December 4 from 7pm at the St Peter’s Social Club in Black Dog Way, Gloucester.

Thursday 26th November at 5.30pm for the first ever "turning on of the lights together on Bath Road". There will be 48 trees lit at the same time by the Bath Road traders.

The mayor and real santa claus will be turning on lights at the Exmouth Arms. There will be live music, dancing, singing, food tastings, etc going on throughout the Bath Road.

The Hardwicke Parochial School Association invites you to a fun Christmas shopping evening with gift ideas for all ages. Tickets on sale in advance include a free mince pie and free entry to a grand prize draw, for a fantastic selection of Christmas essentials. On the door entry is £2.50 with no entry to this draw. On the evening there will be Christmas entertainment by the Children of Hardwicke School, a licensed bar, tombola stall, cake sale and a Christmas raffle. All proceeds are going towards school projects.

Our first Christmas Craft Fair will be held under the Marquee in the Exmouth Arms Gardens and invites a wide variety of local crafts people to the area. We hope to have lots of festive bunting, mulled wine, a variety of live entertainment and a large Christmas tree to get everybody in the mood!

We will have a Santa's Grotto for the children to meet Santa on the Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

The Gloucester Charities Trust are holding a Christmas Fayre in Kimbrose Day Centre which is behind Magdalen House Nursing Home in London Road. Cheltenham Choral Society presents Handel’s Messiah with Jane Sherriff, soprano, Ben James, counter tenor, Malcolm Banham, tenor and Brian Pursey, bass. Accompaniment will be provided by the English Concertante Orchestra with Sarah Harper on continuo cello.

The concert takes place at St Matthew’s Church, Clarence Street, Cheltenham on Saturday 28 November 2009 at 7.30 pm.
